| 4 | TBP cannot rely on content in an argument because they cannot support content other than ad hominem. Therefore their arguments are void.I understand your concern, but I just looked back at the post. Your quote was introduced in a way to illustrate how TRP supposedly dismisses rape. Even if we completely delete your quoted text, the other posts speak for themselves and have the sentiment of your post implicit in content of the quoted text. | 3 | TBP cannot rely on content in an argument because they cannot support content other than ad hominem. Therefore their arguments are void.Stating that a conclusion might accidentally be right is irrelevant. Logically, we dismiss arguments that are based on invalid principles. The conclusion does not follow or isn't more likely to follow based on the premises presented. If someone's argument is invalid, their position is invalid. Therefore, what he says holds no weight as there's no basis for it. If you want to try and posit that every invalid argument MIGHT be right, then go ahead, but it's a waste of everyone's time. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 31/10/13 01:08 AM |
