A lot of these studies conflate sex with gender but I understand that they all say that equality between sexes increases their desire to enact their respective genders. Which makes sense: people will try to artificially emphasise their differences when there’s no external oppression anymore as the oppression is still inside them and fighting to survive. 0	How do I benefit from the patriarchy? I’m gender-critical so I view sex as unchangable biological reality and gender as a societal construct. What we call gender is basically a bunch of harmful stereotypes, that should not be a thing anymore in this day and age. 1	How do I benefit from the patriarchy? No, not in the developed world. Obviously not true for certain parts of the world where religion is intertwined with state and women’s opportunities are limited by law but where I’m from and where I live women limit themselves more than anyone else. I think these names are supposed to be tongue-in-cheek to highlight that these behaviours are the results of masculine gender roles and socialisation which are imposed on men by society (and not implying they are biologically inherent to men).
