You're right about the way raves were promoted back then versus now. Back then people mostly heard about them through word of mouth, so you wouldn't know about them unless you were into the scene. A lot of times you would have to call a 1-800 number the day of the rave just to get the address.

That's actually not true about MTV. Back in the 90s (before MTV was marketed to 13 year old girls), they would show Chemical Brothers, Prodigy, and Aphex Twin videos all the time. "Come To Daddy" by Aphex Twin is one of the most famous videos to come out in the 90s.

I'm 30 and I used to be really into EDM/raves when I was 18. Electronic music has been around for a long time. If you live in a decent sized city, there's probably been an EDM scene around for a while. It definitely wasn't as popular as it later became, but it was big enough that I wouldn't even call it "underground."

Why do so many slutty party girls want to be teachers? When I was in college, every single girl I knew who wanted to be a teacher was an irresponsible trainwreck. These are the type of girls who never read or care about learning anything, and they think they would be good at educating young people. Unless you're ultra rich, spending money on frivolous luxury goods is pretty pointless. The only reason most dudes blow money on that kind of shit is because they are trying to impress women. Luxury items are a much bigger deal to women than they are to men. A lot of women seem to actually get aroused by jewelry and $10,000 purses.

One of my company's clients is a well-known nonprofit, and I'd estimate that almost 90% of their employees are female. It is impossible to do any work for them without knowing about their workplace drama. Some of these bitches make 6 figures and they act like lazy teenagers. They have ZERO accountability. All of the "executives" we deal with just push all their work onto others, and when it doesn't get done they blame someone else. They are so fucking disorganized.
