Man I've been meaning to read The Gift of Fear for 2+ years now, I think this is my sign telling me to start it tonight. Stay safe, please be careful.

Yes! I've had this conversation with many potential romantic interests. When I've gotten close with someone, and we've admit to having feelings for each other, I usually bring up these terms to help explain that I'm the type that's looking mostly for a nonphysical relationship. Sometimes I bring it up right from the get-go, because I don't always feel like spending my time getting close to someone romantically that ultimately won't be compatible with me.. I don't want to waste my time, or their …

Ahh, I see people say this all the time but I can't say I agree 100%. I definitely see your point, but I think for some people, they like to use the label 'demisexual' and such because it's way more extreme for them.. Like in the sense of sexual attraction and/or lackthereof. Also, it's just a label. If labels make you feel more accepted and understood, great, use them! If they make you feel constricted, don't use them! I can only speak from my own experiences, really. I don't care too much abou…

Please please please do you have any advice on how to get into weight lifting?? I've wanted to for so long but I'm so intimidated and scared of learning forms incorrectly and hurting myself. I haven't tried to learn at a gym bc I can't find any women only gyms/women trainers.. :(

I needed this reminder. Thank you for the tips!! I plan to vet the media I consume more often moving forward. We absolutely should be looking for more women produced media!

The original comment came off as really anti LGBT+ so.. just reminding people out there to be a little more considerate of how different people define themselves.

wow I hadn't even realized this bc I don't think about it, but you're totally right! My first instinct is to go into a store and ask an employee if they happen to know, because at least they are working and probably expecting customers to ask questions. plus if they work in the area they probably know the area. I NEVER ask strangers out of safety and politeness. I don't want randos approaching me so I subconsciously don't do it to others.

It pisses me off that all these guys KNOW THAT MEN ARE DANGEROUS. They KNOW men ain't shit to the point where they tell their daughers not to date, not to walk home alone, not to be alone with men. But then when it comes to actually calling out your fellow man friends for being sexist, rapey, and degrading towards women, they won't do it! How can they realize that men are dangerous but then somehow not know any guys that do this shit? They all act like they don't know any of them personally desp…

This is all I want! I'm not a very physical/sexual person but the only type of sex that I can really see myself enjoying is being with someone who is passionate about wanting to make me feel good and make sure that I am comfortable the entire time. That's what it should be about, mutually enjoying each other and enjoying seeing your partner enjoying it! Unfortunately everyone I've been with so far has tried to get me to do shit and I almost always did it because I wanted them to be happy. Not on…

I'm glad the consensus here is that this isn't funny or light hearted. People try to say I'm over reacting but I'm not. I'm allowed to have my own standards lmfao. If someone did this to me I'd be genuinely very upset. It's not funny to make "light" of my love for you. My love is not a joke. Don't make it into one.

Why is it that we seem to all have had an experience like this? I have been a notorious people pleaser all of my life (which I am working on), and when I was 22 and a pickme with low self esteem, I found myself talking to a 32-34! yr old male coworker. (Please don't talk/flirt/date/etc with coworkers. I learned this the hard way. I PROMISE it is not EVER worth it.) He flirted with me which is gross, but I think my low self esteem brain liked the attention, and then got swept up in it all. Becaus…

I get super camera shy and don't facetime anyone I know, let alone strangers, but omggggg I want to feel that POWER. I hope if I ever facetime a dude that proves he's LVM or clearly lied about his pics that I just laugh in his face unapologetically and block him.

totally agree. makes me pretty sick to remember my brother's new gf is 21 (younger than me!) while he is nearly 27. ugh. gross. doesn't matter what "life experience" you think she has that makes her so "mature", you're at two totally different places in life. she's still in school and you've been in your field for years. I couldn't imagine dating a 27yr old when I was 21. 🤢

and this is why I almost exclusively choose to date women now. they always go wayyyy above and beyond any man I have ever dated, without me having to even ask or think about it. if someone likes you and wants you to feel loved, they will prove it on their own accord without you prompting them. also, the ONLY positive experiences with physical intimacy I have ever had were with women or non-binary/genderqueer individuals. men truly only care about their pee pees. 🤮

Thank you for the reminder. Women are basically brainwashed from childhood to ALWAYS think "I can do more, I can do better, I just have to put up with this abuse a little longer, I just have to be the 'strong' woman that doesn't complain and can do it all a little more. My husband/boyfriend/boss/friend/coworker/etc. will finally see my worth and treat me better." and I am so sick of that. Anytime a woman unapologetically walks away from any sort of abusive relationship I feel like men RACE to be…

If I ever enter a relationship that involves being physically intimate again, I will not settle for anything less than this mentality. I want someone to ask me for consent for everything, and to immediately stop any time I am not enthusiastically saying yes.

OH MY GOD THIS. Jesus christ thank you for wording it so well. I have a hard time explaining this to people at times. Saved. Will send this to anyone who makes comments about consent being "confusing".

I would gladly let the human race die out instead of allowing more women to suffer if it came to that. LVM shouldn't be allowed to have kids. I would actually support a system that prevents LVM from having kids on a global scale. If things continue down the current path, the human race WILL die out due to an over abundance of violence and pollution from corporations that is primarily caused by LVM..

I want to agree entirely, but I know there are men out there that would get violent and belligerent in response. Sometimes I'd rather not risk my health and safety bc some dude is willing to take it too far if I tell them to back off. :/

I guess they are still dating!! They also have a big age gap which concerns me among other things.. he's 26(nearly 27) and she's 21? They met OLD and the first time they met in person he had her come to his place. I told him out of respect for her safety it should've been a public venue and he disagrees. He also thinks ben shapiro is like a god 🤢🤢🤮. He's been more and more openly sexist. He's anti-choice. The only reason I still have contact with him these days is bc we're family.. We got on oka…

THIS THIS THIS. It took me SO long to pick up on this. I'm inherently a pretty feeling-type person, and so for so long I always felt I had to explain my feelings and try to get people to understand why they hurt me. You don't! Many if not all already KNOW they hurt you, they simply don't care. You can't make someone care, no matter how perfect and non-aggressive your paragraph messages are. So often a guy fucks something up and you still see the woman asking the internet what SHE can do to fix i…

Not only this, but men also talk down at you and complain that you "talk too much" after finally getting the chance to vent for once instead of getting talked over by all the guys in the group. My brother(26) brought home his new gf for easter, and whined when I didn't absolutely fawn over her and give her all of my attention. Dude. I was home for family, I had less than 24 hours to spend with my mom. It's fine you brought your gf home, and I was totally polite with her, but I'm not gonna have a…

I had the same thought. would there be any ramifications? would the dna be too similiar when trying it asexually, and be a 'copy' of you dna wise? the thought of offspring just being that similar over generations makes me wonder if this would impact evolution and general longevity of humans as a race? having many many different people with different dna is good for keeping a species alive for a reason.

THIS THIS THIS. I have so much trouble explaining this to people but you've worded it so well. It struck a chord when you quoted how many guys first question is "What positions do you like?" when we've only just barely brought up intimacy. This has happened to me so many times and EVERY time I was super uncomfortable. It shocked me how much they just wanted to talk physical stuff when like, I don't even really know them yet??? And they all act like this is totally normal and get offended if I re…

absolutely 100% agree. im just sad it took me so long to realize this. use your power. no more "perfectly constructed paragraphs" to try desperately to convey ur feelings in a way that wont "upset or offend" him while trying to explain how hurt you are. he already KNOWS. he just doesnt care. block and delete.

Oh my god this is lower than low effort. This is NO EFFORT. It looks like a four year old made it, in the worst way possible since I KNOW it's from a "grown man". Like did he think it was endearing??? 🤢🤮 The language is disgusting. There is NO effort in the message or the design. FFS I know not everyone is artistically inclined, but if you made him an entire COMIC BOOK and he has the audacity to give you THIS???? Holy shit I'd be appalled.
