Does this subreddit make you worried or happy about the future of gender relations? Do you think this overall sub is a good idea or that its harmful for discourse and mental health?

Ben Volcel for a while now, I couldn't really put it into words before but I guess ever since Freshman year? (18m here btw). I have had so many friends, as well as my brother, end up in shitty, abusive relationships that they got stuck in because of the need for sex/companionship. Its the type of thing where you only realize how much it fucks you over when its too late. Really sucks. Also Most women, especially in high school, just seem really annoying and unfunny. They don't like my hobbies, mu…

Men can't be responsible for anything? Everything bad comes from women? Its fair that you at least "try" to point out that some men are involved with creating this status-quo, but you infantalize women by pretending they can get brainwashed just by a few guys saying some stuff. Its more like there have always been promiscuous women and prostitutes, but the internet puts that shit on blast.

Asian people don't vote like most white or black Americans. Instead, they are more similar to hispanic groups as in they skew young. I'd be interested in seeing how Asians vote broken down by nationality or country of origin.

The strongest ethnic group that was republican in America was cubans. After Reagan helped these people come from Cuba and helped them start businesses and helped them do the good old American dream, they voted Red En masse. Obama was hated by Hispanic communities because he deported more people than any other administration by a long shot. Hispanic people not voting republican is absolutely a "trump" thing. That and nowadays we see older hispanic people give up on politics, as in not voting. Thi…

US hispanics and black people are VERY traditional and conservative for a lot of social values. Take, for example gay and trans issues. Most minority groups actually aren't 100% on board with it the same way whites are. If you wanted to stop the "gay feminist agenda" you would actually take in more of these people. However, the republican party is overtly hostile to black people (Gerrymandering, voter supression, intense policing and draconian sentencing) and Hispanic people (Trump anti-immigran…

I like seeing and hearing anecdotes that I can practically apply to my life. I posted here asking about a good place to meet new people, and got lots of suggestions. I also get a mindset and look of men/women when they discuss their own issues. I think that most "blackpilled" men go from believing a whole set of lies (women don't care about looks) to the other extreme of lies (women only care about looks) I think its neat to have a middle ground and the nuance of these discussions

Not quite, I keep bringing up traits that would be good in a husband (maturity, stability, knowing what they want, having more free time) and linking them to age and experience. If you think money is the only factor that these women would value in a husband, then that's fine. I don't dispute that money is an important factor. All I'm saying is that it's not the only factor. And money usually shouldn't be the main factor either.

When you are at the start of your career and paying off your massive student loan debt, I guarantee it 100% that you will be nowhere near as financially stable as you will be 5-10 years from then. Young people are always most interested in their career and work. At least, that's how it is for my experience. I do agree that age isn't exactly the biggest predictor of maturity, there are lots of old people who are chumps and young people who are wise, but i'm talking broadly here. Also, data and st…

But it's not just money though. What I mean by stability refers to emotional and actionable consistency. Like a old guy knows what he wants, and knows what he's doing, while a young guy doesn't.

Counterpoint: Many young women who are in their mid 20s (25+) often look for commitment and maturity in a partner. The party days (for some) are gone, and they want to raise a family. Do you not understand, or even concede, that many men in their 30s or 40s (in the peaks of their careers) will be more mature or more stable compared to their younger peers? If you're looking for someone to provide for you, then I don't see an issue with going for someone older. I've been around too many manchild f…

I'm a lefty, I like to read and engage with ideas here. In our modern times, no one is fucking happy. Old people hate the boringness and staleness of the nuclear family, Young people hate the current dating culture and state of youth, misanthropy and aloneness are at an all time high, etc, etc. Sure, life might be easier, but theres still a fuckton of problems. Most of these issues come down to capitalism shackling us to spend our youths in education systems that we don't care about, and jobs th…

Yes, it's possible. I think that things like toxic femininity are propped up by the patriarchy, and would be demolished with gender and class liberation. Men's issues don't come from feminism, instead its something far more.
