It doesn't make me uncomfortable, and I didn't propose an ultimatum. If we're all for equality, then we need to recognize all of us have problems and take steps to minimizing those. On all fronts. Men definitely need support systems to help handle their problems, but women also need support.

To think the idea of peaceful living was first brought up by Jesus is honestly ridiculous. Western culture is, among other things, normally focused around democracy, rational thinking, individualism, and human rights. Christianity did play a big part in the influence of Western culture, but long after many of the central tenets were already established.

Please give me your thoughts and criticisms they are all welcome, we are here to discuss. You changed your mind about discussion and criticism when someone tried. That's fun. You can disagree all you want, but it's fairly common knowledge that you can google pretty quickly. What we commonly consider Western ideals originated in Greece and were influenced by Roman and other cultures hundreds of years before Christianity was founded.

I think both of y'all are right. The law needs changed so that rape is defined as intercourse without consent. All wording that implies gender roles to the rapist and raped need done away with. With that said, her sentence isn't short compared to those given to male rapists, and mental institutions are often considered worse than jails.
