You said you just want one night stands and that you get quickly bored in most conversations, I can't really see how that meahs you 'want a chance to get to know them'

Great advice here, most of the time what riles me up about dudes is how terribly boring and one-sided conversations can be, either not going anywhere or feeling like you're being interviewed.

I moved countries last year and used OKCupid, meetup.com and Facebook groups to make friends. It was still with a certain purpose in mind, but it put me in touch with people from fairly different social spheres and interests. After 4 months I had a solid group of friends I could hang out with and met my current BF too.

Try the insistent follow up just once or twice and if she keeps going back to not responding eventually, move on, man. My recommendation is to send her a meme or a link to an article or piece of news she might enjoy or be interested in and say 'this made me think of you, how's it going?' or something along those lines. It's casual, it doesn't come across as desperate or like you're not busy and it also gives her a compliment indirectly. Good luck.

You also have to show some interest, man. The ball is in your court! On the other hand, you heard all this about her being into you from your friend, it might be a prank... She still seems to show some interest since you mention her liking your social media stuff, so who knows, but it might be she's waiting for you to make a move this time around and she's giving you the chance.

It probably doesn't seem that way now because you might feel lonely and miserable, but it's for the best in the long run. This person didn't appreciate you for who you were and if you changed so much, maybe they would have never been satisfied. It's not your fault. Try to recover your connection with yourself, be passionate about the things you like and then someone else might come along.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
