Oh no doubt, it's a hard road if you don't have guidance. My mother was similar.... but it can be done :)

I'm sort of the same, used to be much more tomboyish and forced any feminine traits down, mostly due to the idea that masculine and feminine traits existing in one person were not possible and that they are actually in conflict with each other. But in reality, most RPW believe that the masculine and feminine exhibited in a good male-female relationship actually complement and enhance each other, and I believe that's true on a smaller, more individual scale as well. What seems key to me is that I…

I agree, I've always seen her as sort of outside society and therefore able to comment on it. I think you wouldn't expect her to have insight on the feminine given the things you pointed out about her, but we don't choose what we find insightful. She's confusing and contradictory, no doubt

Oh damn, I thought I've researched a lot of her stuff but I didn't know that!! I appreciate her point of view that I mentioned on my post but that is disturbing to hear...Thanks for letting me know

Here's the way I see it: no two women are alike, and I don't believe we are all called to be stay at home mothers. I myself do not have a calling that is traditionally feminine, and after a lot of soul searching I think it is truly the right path for me. Here's the thing though: why not aim for balance and wholeness? Why not accept every part of yourself, from the more masculine and feminine, and use them wisely depending on the situation? It's like having two power sources and only using one. I…

I know I'm a bit late to commenting on this post, but it reminded me of my relationship with my mother. I know a husband vs mother relationship is very different, but his behaviour reminds me SO much of her. Super critical, overreacting, has a snarky response to EVERYTHING, breaking a dish or dropping something was the absolute worst for my siblings and I growing up. I went through a lot of therapy as a teen trying to figure out and recover from the damage that came from it. Here's the thing: ou…

I've always been a big believer in that masculine and feminine energy can be channeled at different times, and that's basically how I operate! It's just that I've been reading a lot deeper into RPW stuff, and it is becoming much more real to me that men are very visually motivated. So I may be channeling masculine energy at the moment, but still look very feminine. But thank you for your comment, it was a good reminder.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
