| 4 | Rock Climbing: Why you should be doing itRock climbing is great. I have 13 years of experience, indoors and outdoors. I agree with most what OP said. There is one big issue though. Last year I started lifting more seriously and it is fun and successful journey so far. I gained a lot of wheight, mostly muscles. My BF is at ~13%. I am a tall guy. I gained 20 pounds from lifting in the last few month. currently at 215lbs. My climbing suffered tremendously because of that. Serious alpine climbing is also not really possible like this.
