11	Girl attacks boy. Boy defends himself. Boy is ridiculed on Social Media for putting hands on a girl. proportional is no the term the law defines. it states that the defense should not be excessive. eg; proceeding to beat her face in cuz she was charging at him swinging. He disabled her from further attack by throwing her to the ground. The defense needs to be enough to disable the attacker. Man or woman..if you aren't willing to accept being hit back, don't hit other people. Whatever he may or may have called her in a text is irrelevant. She provoked the physical attack, and deserves retaliation. Now I'm not saying he get s a free card to beat the shit out of her, but he can certainly and lawfully defend himself.
