They're not shocked about the crisis, though - everywhere I see, they're still cheering about it. The only real shock is that it might (heavy emphasis on might) hurt them electorally. They're shocked that men matter, because they long ago decided they didn't.

Yeah, it's going to collapse, but it's not going to be a pretty sight, it's going to take a long time, and it's going to bring a lot of us down with it.

You're familiar with the apex fallacy? The common, implicit assumption that because the people at the top of the heap are men, that all men are at the top of the heap? In reality the "heap" is: a small percentage of men at the top, all women just below, and the rest of men below that. Always is, always has been. The bottom 80% or so of men were never feminist allies. The ones at the top always were and still are, because feminism preserves the heap.

This is the mindset behind "equity" programs: Elon Musk is a billionaire, and he's white. You're also white, therefore you deserve nothing.

And remember - desiring them (when you're unworthy of their attention) is considered "misogyny" in their circles.

Ah, you don't understand. The point was to get it far enough along that young men's opinions don't matter any more. Which is where it is now. The time to do something about it was 20 years ago, it's too late now.

I was hearing this talking point back in the 80's. Even then it sounded like the women were just looking for attention while the men really meant it.

I've been there, especially when I was young like you. I constantly had to ask myself, "what's the worst that can happen if I keep going?" I could picture a future where I ended up being one of those guys who lives in a trailer and watches TV all the time and living off of a minimum wage paycheck from a job as a cashier at a 7-11. People would look at me and shake their heads in disgust, but they kind of do that anyway. So - what is the realistic worst case scenario? Is it really worse than the …

That's why the only forums that are ever left-wing dominated are the heavily censored ones: they can't win a debate so they shut it down.

Yep, the slogan that "the only thing more powerful than hate is love" sounds good until you see what they mean when they say "love". They actually mean "genocide".

Men are afraid of the common scenario: that a woman will completely destroy their lives beyond any hope of recovery to the point that they take their own lives in desperation, and then laugh about THAT. So, technically, yes, men are afraid that women will laugh at them, after they're dead.

Women are shamed for things, too, but they don't care. They just collectively stopped caring 50 years ago.

women seem disgusted/freaked out by my mere presence I'm old (and married) now, but I definitely experienced the same when I was young (1990's). I think this is just the way it is for most men in their 20's: if there's any reason to reject you, they will. It gets better in your 30's, although you'll always carry an (understandable IMHO) bitterness that you lost your youth while others were partying. My son is going through the same thing, and I don't have much good advice to give him other than …

I don't know if there's a term for this, but I notice the left doing this more and more: insisting that something that isn't true is true for so long that it eventually becomes true. Like, there's only so much demonization young men can take before they actually become violent.

It's not like anything will change - the bottom 90% of men will get no attention and the women will continue fighting over the top 10% of men regardless of their political leanings or behavior, just like they always have.

That's how they've gotten all of society to focus on them exclusively for at least the last 50 years - and after five decades of sacrificing every facet of civilization to make them happy they're... still angry. Maybe catering to them even harder isn't the answer.

You're not thinking like a woman. A woman doesn't need help finding a man. Those are everywhere. She is looking for help finding a "quality" man: tall, athletic, rich, handsome, full head of hair, left-wing but not effeminate, never married, no kids, cool job, important, connected, and dedicated to one woman. That is, the 2% of men that every other woman is fighting over, who has his pick of women.

social transition and - women who transition are universally applauded for their "bravery". Men who decide they want to become women encounter a lot of isolation when they start living as women - even the girls who insist out loud that they "accept" them as women keep them at arms length, and men/boys mostly just pretend to ignore them (which is a step up from the murdering them that they used to do). You really really really have to want to become a woman to get through the social transition ph…

I'm sure you're trolling, but I'll pretend you're asking in good faith and will pay attention to the response: I can't find the link (because I'm too lazy to look), but Scott Alexander addressed that pretty brilliantly. He talked about having backpacked through India at one point in his life. He said that every time he (white guy) backpacked through a poor Indian village, he was surrounded by beggars trying to convince him to part with a couple of coins. At first, he felt sorry for them and gave…

They look around and observe - correctly - that the people who have it absolutely the best in life are men. It's true. More billionaires are men. More leaders are men. The top of the top are always men. But they failed philosophy class, because they assume that x -> y means that y -> x. They see that the people who have it the absolute best are men and assume that means that all men have it better than all women. But the reality is that it's: 1% of men all women the other 99% of men But they don…

I think you're right - but it's worth recognizing that if you were born a woman and underwent HRT, you're probably a bit short and slight by male standards, correct? What you're now experiencing is probably the very worst of what men can experience (sorry, on behalf of society in general, 'cause it ain't coming from me) - it's somewhat better for taller, bulkier (but not fat) men. I do actually believe the trope that life is great - better than any woman - for a very, very tiny percentage of inc…

I doubt you'd love it, it would probably enrage you because it would just be an hour of being told that everything that was wrong with everything was your fault because you were such a horrible person and if you weren't such a horrible person, women would fall all over themselves to date you.

I don’t think the Barbies were truly happy They literally kept saying so until America Ferrera spent an hour convincing each one she wasn't. That's not my interpretation, it was in the movie.

feminism is brainwashing women Wife dragged me to see the Barbie movie. I couldn't help but notice that the plot of the movie is that Ken starts out as a simp, but then he goes to the real world and learns to be a man, so he goes back to Barbie world and starts acting like one and EVERYBODY IN BARBIE WORLD IS HAPPY. Including the women. They actually say this in the movie. But then Barbie brings feminist America Ferrera to convince all of the women that they're actually miserable, which works an…

I watch a lot of "old" movies like from the 70's and 80's and I'm always struck by the attitude of the women in these movies. Consistently, they're looking for men, happy to find a man, and grateful for a man's attention. This wasn't even controversial back then, it was just a reflection of society - men wanted to meet women and women wanted to meet men. You don't see that reflected in media any more. Women are annoyed by any male attention and celebrate the downfall of any individual man or all…

young men have been left behind I'm not sure this is exactly new. I felt this way when I was young in the 80's - the difference now is that men can anonymously share that they feel that way. Back then, I thought I was the only one - the guys around me always bragged about their sexual conquests and put on a bravado to make it look like their lives were way better than mine was. I thought I was the only dork who couldn't get a girlfriend and I just couldn't figure out what was wrong with me - now…

there is no future without men and women But that isn't what they want (or, at least, what they think they want). In the "non-female" past, there was a place for females as wives and mothers, but the strong independent girl bosses wanted to transcend that "burden". In the female future, there's literally no place for men - women shatter the glass ceiling and run corporations without being burdened by toxic masculinity and they also raise the children. The men just die because they're either a us…
