And this will be an example of the way men will try to spin women as being crazy or irrational. ShE leFT mE oVeR a ToWEl. - "Oh wow bro, you dodged a bullet". He chose to pick something important to her, something she enjoyed and that didn't hurt him....and he tried to take it away from her her. For no reason other than control. He nagged and harassed her about a fucking hair towel trying to break her down. Just because he felt entitled to his opinion that it was stupid and righteous in forcing …

Male culture will double down on hateful rhetoric against women. The pseudo intellectual lazy reading of evolutionary psychology will be used by modern men to justify the misogyny once soley attributed to religious fundamentalists. America is in decline as a superpower. Feelings of disempowerment, wage stagnation, isolation, disenframchment and loss of hope will spread across the middle and working class.....especially white men who've never had to face these feelings before. I think America wil…

This is a good example of why raising girls into "femininity" is setting up our daughters and sisters for a lifetitime of abuse. It's also a great example of how men are ruining intimacy for themselves. The amount of male belly-aching about how women are no longer feminine or women don't trust them and that's super mean and unfair etc.... But they are actively and consciously devising ways to break down womens' self esteem and sharing emotional abuse tactics with other men like recipes. For the …

I've been meaning to write a post on this very subject, specifically to domestic relationships. Ladies, especially you young women new to relationships, please realize that lashing out ~physically~ in *DEFENSE * will be used against you. If that boyfriend has you cornered against a wall, looming over you with his fists clenched screaming at you.......if you hit or push him because he won't stop or leave you alone, HE will use that against you as an example of your violence/abuse/craziness. When …

Sometimes I think in a more egalitarian and respectful society you could have a more genuinely sex positive culture wherein women could sleep with guy friends and everything would be normal. But the reality often times is these men are trophy hunters and once you have sex they move on. It wasn't about friendship, it was about getting to say they fucked you. Or they get possessive. Or they have such low self esteem they begin to resent you because hey, if you slept with them how many other guy "f…

It's just so bizarre to me that a significant number of people view pregnancy as a form of punishment. To see bringing a new life into the world as, not only a negative consequence, but a fundamentally neccessary one. And to say "yes, this is the best way to view people, family and children". We could have a better world, but so many humans are consumed by spitefulness, and a a truly dumb authoritarian worldview.

They want performance. They want women to perform open childish trust without having to earn said demean genuinely. Same with sex. They want the performance of excitement and porn style arousal, doesn't matter if it's actually fake as long as they can believe the performance.

To put this situation in context let me say this: The men from my construction crews, some of whom I've heard making "edgy" jokes about domestic abuse, or bitch about liberals, women in male jobs, etc etc EVERY single time I've worked a late shift, or have had to park in a sketchy area for work or had car troubles, at least 1 usually more walk me to my car. If dirty, tired, non-feminist blue collar bros can make the effort for a female coworker, so can your date. Seriously.

By the age of 14 I was saying I'd never have children. Of course, everyone said I'd change my mind. 33 years old now. Lifelong childfree. Have 0 interest in birthing children. I agree OP with the point you're making. It's been a lifelong struggle against people saying I'll change my mind for the right person.

TW: I dieted down on 1200-1400 calories/daily with a 3 hour/daily workout regimen with a personal trainer for about two years. I went from a size 12 to a size 2 dress and children section clothes. I remember doing the "bikini bridge" challenge and being able to turn sideways to see that my waist could be hidden by the length of my phone. I had surpased Marilyn Monroe's best hip/waist/chest stats. I once was flexing in the gym mirror admiring my ribcage, hip and collar bones when an older woman s…

I'm most disturbed by how men perceive sex. They really don't see women as human beings. To basically say "you will present your vaginal opening to me for my usage or you will suck or otherwise touch my dick every day" reveals how emotionally devoid and disassociated from humanity these men are. I honestly can't imagine talking to anyone that way. I can't even put myself in a similar state of mind to understand how a person could be OK coercing sex. How do you live with yourself? How do you even…

Theres a lot of disgusting stuff here but I just want to take a second to point out yet another example of male AUDACITY. Imagine being caught with child porn and having the absolute fucking nerve to not sleep in another room at the request of your wife. He probably gets off on the power flex of either forcing his wife into being scared sleeping next to him, or forcing her and the kids to sleep in the other room. There is no shame. Absolutely no shame.

Yes!! That's what kills me. Men think they're being tricky by claiming ignorance, as if incompetency is somehow attractive? I really don't get it. As a woman, demonstrating my competency consumes 90% of life. I can't imagine willingly acting stupid in front of men and expecting them to respect me.

It's important when comparing countries to look at "average income per person per day in purchasing parity dollars." A working class household living off of 17k in Chicago isnt necessarily better off than the 10k yearly income of a professional in rural Bolivia. Working class people around the world have more in common than not.(Compare GDP against population size per capita and against inflation and standard of living to compare countries more accurately). There are certainly Americans earning …

I think the marriage within the income bracket is probably more about who you are exposed to, socialize with, friend groups, college connections etc I think using the first definition I wrote is better than solely talking about income when determining class because of the point you raised. A construction worker is still workingclass despite being a higher earner. Making 80k is still working class regardless of so-called blue or white collar.

👏👏👏 OP. In regards to classism and class.. An FYI for those unfamiliar, working class is not a synonym for "poor". (And it's usually used interchangeably in the US with "middle class") If the majority of your income comes from wages or salary...that is to say....you're not able to live primarily off of stocks or ownership of property (for examples) then you are broadly working class. There is debate on where the line is drawn, and some people choose to use income brackets to signify class. Even …

Shout out to original Stepford Wives. For years I never bothered watching it because I was only familiar with it as a butt of jokes and stupid remake with Nicole Kidman. But its great and deserves a real modern reboot written and directed by a fds-minded talent. There is so much relevency. Rosemary's Baby captures the disempowerment of pregnant women so well. I think the bigger picture of these sentiments goes beyond LVM or dudes being cheap. Communities are breaking down...not because of evil feminists, or single moms but because Americans are overworked, with poor social safety nets, poor health, limited free time for socializing or resting etc. I think a lot of the hatred against women we see online is men lashing out in response to the alienation and disempowerment they feel because of their own loss of power and purpose. Their displacement of an…

Lol. Hope your mom's advice is decent. Since I was a child my mother has told me relationships are about "sacrifice", specifically women making compromise and consessions to keep a gOoD mAn. Literally told me as a teen not to smile so much as it would "give me premature wrinkles". Also, the wise wisdom of "don't talk about yourself during dates, just listen." I agree with you and also thinks it's important to address the root causes of problems. Answering the nuture vs nature question is above my pay-grade. I suspect it's a bit of both. BUT I do feel 100% confident in saying male culture vastly overvalues and advantageously defines the "nature" aspect. Biologically speaking, men tend to have greater upper body strength, denser bones etc combined with higher testosterone it points to the male sex (broadly speaking) being more aggressive. Yeah I often think about this. If we want positive relationships with the men in our lives and communities the greatest thing we can do for them is recognize their humanity. They are capable of love and empathy and making ethical choices so we should hold them accountable. It's funny to me that feminists are accused of hating men. But what is actually hateful: saying men have the human ability for goodness but are socialized to choose otherwise. OR men are irredeemably violent and aggressive and…

I understand OPs point but I do find the broad sentiment of being "better than" or "dating up" or "equal to not good enough" etc to be icky. I understand we use these words as short hand for bigger ideas, and I get the intention because I read people in good faith. Men need to get their lies straight. They scream the gender wage gap isn't real because women choose lower paying jobs and leave the workforce for children thus the statistical disparity. I agree with your overall point, but I think your time/age scale is a bit off. Women in their early to mid 30s absolutely grew up with internet culture, porn, social networks (myspace). And the "hitting the wall" sentiment is meant for all women. When your in your twenties it's to scare you into settling and pit you against us "old" women (lol I'm 32). When you are older than 30, the sentiment is meant to demean and humble you into low self esteem and....settling.

This ongoing experience of being a woman wanting/needing womens only spaces has really expanded my racial politics as well. It's interesting to think about how the early 2000s were the start of the new pornography wave. The accessability of computers, and growing expanse of online free porn. People who are between 28-35 right now were basically first guinea pigs for the new social experiment of pervasive porn exposure at early ages. What kind of adults would these children grow into? Yeah. I hate that BS line. It's a shallow and depressing example of people separating their self from their body. It's the point of view of "your having sex with my body", rather than viewing sex as something we do together that invovles our self whole person. This seperation of body from emotion/mind was used in therapy for rape victims. "He violated your body, but thats not you". Seperating self is a trauma-response. Interesting that mainstream sex culture is basically mimicking that response.…

It's difficult to find HVM who are capable/interested in my type of serious relationship. When you say together but living separately or together but unmarried, many men will try to position you as a fwb or polyamorous couple. Lifelong monogamous …

Also, to simply brush aside his statement "I was just trying to scare you", as if trying to scare your partner with a knife is legitimate and normal and the real problem is following through with cutting. Threats are worth leaving for.

Whenever possible, get directions, change of plans, corrections, etc in WRITTEN form. Especially in projects that require many people, levels of authority, and authorization. Shit rolls downhill, so don't position yourself as the last person at the bottom. Always be prepared to cover your ass. Having a paper trail can be the difference between seeking a new job or getting a promotion.

Be careful. The law isn't on your side unless you can afford a lawyer. It's a nice "girl power" ego boost to say "yeah I'll fuck up any guy who catcalls me, creeps on me, etc". You definitely win internet points posturing this badass babe attitude. But reality sucks for women. The first question cops ask is "did he touch you?" "Oh you hit him?" "Did he actually say something threatening to you?". My ex Domestic Abuser boyfriend would square up his shoulders and chest within centimeters of my bod…

Just like saying "I'm gonna lose weight". You get a gym membership and you go for the first month. You eat well for a couple months than start slipping back into old habits. Or you lose weight than 3 years later are fatter than when you started because you didnt continue the lifestyle change. Abusers will go through the motions of a couple therapy sessions and self reflection until it gets too hard. Like dieters, you get a little dopamine rush when you announce how you plan to change. Another reason I always uptalk my immediate family's professions and economic status. I come from solid working class roots, my parents do not have college degrees but through luck and decades of work both now have very good paying and impressive sounding jobs. I never talk (early on) about the struggle and poverty of early childhood because LVM are always trying to treat women with bare minimum effort. If he thinks you come from poor roots he will treat you cheaply.

Be cautious with these "pop psychology" by dudes. The root of these " modern men are full of estrogen, alphas are dying out" hurr hurr "lady brains" etc are from right wing anti-feminist sources. Mostly dudebros who buy books on "Dark Psychology" (edgy!) And took 1 anthropology class in undergrad and now insist they know how men and women are biologically programmed.

I 100% believe the propensity to gas light is a character flaw, usually rooted in a need to exert or maintain control. It's an emotional lashing out, and people who act this way will not stop with communication because the very nature of the behavior is opposed to honest listening and fair conduct. I know everyone always says dump him, but seriously, dump him. This behavior will not magically stop. Asking him, talking about how it makes you feel, "proving" to him what he is doing (he'll deny and…

Men who act like this towards women aren't motivated by stingyness, they're sexist and probably reading redpill type shit. Guys will buy their bros a round of beer at the bar, they take pride in showing off for their friends. But if the same man views women as manipulative, liars and users, then he'll insist in splitting on nickle diming his date in order to "teach that gold digger a lesson" or "beat her at her own game" .

The underlying assumption of that analogy and libfem pornsick ideas is that ALL WOMEN are potential sex workers. Seriously. Since I was 10 years old I've had men creep on me. Never had a guy assume I was a postal worker, or a coal miner, or a doctor, but you best believe I've been solicited for sex. Offered money and gifts in exchange for my body. I think its 100% ok for a man or woman to be single, even for many years in a row, at any point in his or her life. 38 and single for the past 5 years? Thats ok. Self improvement. Healing. Work goals. Children. All good reasons why someone may be older and single. Redflags: People who have that forever "trade in" or "serial monogamy" mentality. So I'm not OK dating a man who has never been in a relationship (3+ months) after the age of 25. A man in in his 30's + who seeks out large age gaps or y…
