It means that Babe is a genuine term of endearment, not just a habit. That's a good thing.

This is 100% correct. You need to get out of his way, not try to lead him and control him. Compliments are hollow and reek of desperation. Telling him he doesn't have enough friends and needs to go get some so he can learn how to meet your expectations is messed up, and spoiler alert, that won't work because sharing masculinity tips is not what we do when we hang out. And hanging out with other well developed men offers little opportunity for developing true masculinity because rarely do they ne…

Not made up. There is both testosterone and oxytocin which does reduce depression and may impact general mood. There are other compounds that can impact mood and well being as well. There's research, Google it.

I fully agree that this is totally your problem to solve, and wasn't suggesting that he needs to change. Love, respect, attraction, appreciation and liking someone are all separate things. You have some control over all of them, but the two that you have the least control over are attraction and liking someone, which is the main reason I mentioned that it might be something worth examining. But it sounds like you have a great foundation in place, some honest self-awareness, and a willingness to …

I want to 100% support this idea. It sounds like you are having challenges managing your feelings, and developing an understanding that they are all pretty much equal really reduces their power over you. But also consider that he may not be someone you actually like. I realize that you do appreciate him, and that's a good thing, but appreciation is not a substitute for liking someone.

Only offer if it's important to you that you actually do pay that specific time. If there is some reason you are feeling extra appreciative, or extra generous or something and want to express that by buying him a meal then do that. Do not offer just to be offering to share the burden. It has been established that he does not want you to consider it a shared burden, and that he never wants you consider saying no to an outing because you think you might have to pay.

How is this even a serious question? Are level 10 red flags that hard to spot?

Why wouldn't it? If his actions inspire trust and bring you peace enough for you to be yourself and follow your instincts, why would you create resistance? Is that as some sort of bargaining chip or something?
/r/RedPillWomen28/02/24 06:02 PM

That's exactly what we want, 100% blunt honesty to the question at hand, not deflection to a different question. OP tried to humor him by enthusiastically lying to him and saying she believed they should try something that she didn't actually believe in. Then she went on to answer a question that wasn't asked (what do we do down the road if this doesn't work). That's not being a partner. If we were cops, and I asked my partner a similar tactical question, and they lied about what they saw from t…

Handy can be an acceptable part of foreplay, but they are essentially non-sex. Sex tops the list, but BJs are a great thing to throw in the mix because sometimes it's nice not to be doing all the work, and there is, let's say, a wider array of sensations available with something as complex as a mouth.

This guy is a big red flag. As you described him, I have zero respect for him. There is probably a woman out there for him, and that's fine, but only you can decide if you want that woman to be you... If you want to be with a man that other men can't respect.

It's not advanced degrees, it's women we can converse with intelligently. The degree itself means nothing. Get curiouys about the world, learn a bunch of stuff. It's an amazing time, we have TikToc, YouTube, Podcasts, and Chat GPT, all of which are incredible learning resources, and don't even require a lot of heavy reading. FYI 80% of plastic surgery is actually kind of a red flag.

I think I know that one too. Let me guess, after they jump in and take over (when you are half a sentence away from completing the thought), they accuse you of interrupting them when you resume for the wrap up. Is that her? lol

First of all, do take it personally, that's the only way you are going to find the impetus to change. If I had to guess, this is less about you needing to ask him about his day, and more about you remembering that there is someone on the other end of the phone, and feeling like you are actually trying to communicate ideas to that person. And remembering that conversations involve participation by both sides. Women frequently have trouble with the phone. As an example, someone who I can spend hou…

Relationships don't work well when you have them under a microscope, you need to commit yourself to being a part of it, not just examining it.

You may also want to consider that the one class you took in "cryptocurrency" does not necessarily mean that you are someone he can have valuable conversation with on the subject. However he clearly values you and regularly has conversations about his other interest which may be more relatable. It's just discernment in practice.

Perhaps you have very ambiguous looks, there's a few women who do. You might be 53 or 26, and seeing someone like that makes one curious whether there is any actual romantic interest or not. Just natural human curiosity. The fact that it happens so often, especially when it's considered a potentially unfavorable question, makes me think there is something unique going on with your looks (odds are you are extremely beautiful). Or if it's happening after people have had conversations with you, it …

You seem to be confusing an explanation of reality with a suggestion that it's the optimal way to behave. There are 7 billion people on the planet, meaning billions of different relationships that people have forged with each other. I would never assume that I'm the one who should decide how those relationships should work.

These comments make it seem like a character issue that is binary. Either they are a cheater, or not. It's not that simple. If the lack of satisfaction is extreme (as in no sex) then even a man not inclined to cheat might be tempted to have those needs met somewhere else if he wants to preserve everything else about a good relationship. But the scenario that you described is not the kind of thing that would lead to that. Someone who cheats in that scenario has cheating tendencies that you have n…

Initiation is nothing more than the signal that she is ready and in the mood. It's nice. It doesn't necessarily affect how the sex plays out, and it certainly doesn't challenge my masculinity in any way.

The double standard exists and is wrong. But the problem isn't lets punish the fuck out of the girls, it's let's be just as reasonable with little boy kids who do stupid stuff. This race to the bottom attitude just makes the world a harder place for everything.
/r/MensRights10/05/17 04:01 AM

And that makes you mad. But misplaced anger doesn't help the problem. Wanting insanely harsh penalties for the woman just perpetuates the belief that this kind of stuff deserves insanely harsh penalties. I personally see these disparities in treatment and think "Wow, this is proof that the penalties men get are too harsh, they need to start getting penalties this light (or lighter)"
/r/PussyPass30/03/16 02:52 PM

And I don't think that is appropriate. You may enjoy living in a puritanical world that tosses out radical punishments like this over trivialities, but I don't. I don't want to see us cutting off the hands of shoplifters either, but that's where this is heading as long as people are willing to say that one person's mistreatment means that that mistreatment should spread to others.

He'd probably lose his livelihood as well. Again, this is over a photograph of a body part. Pretty severe consequences for something where nobody was actually hurt. Punishment does not fit the crime; this is crazy.

No she didn't, this is insanely harsh. She took a freaking picture, nobody got hurt. The problem with the stupidly harsh penalties that men get doesn't get solved by ratcheting up the penalties that women get, it gets solved by ratcheting them DOWN to we see society deeming acceptable as evidenced by what is meted out to women.

It's gathering information, not asking permission. We need information to make a good decision. If this holiday party is you and eight co-workers looking for a way to have a little more fun while throwing down margaritas after work by including Christmas cookies and cardboard reindeer then I am probably going to take up my buddy's offer to go shoot pool. You have fun, I have fun... win win. But if this holiday party is something that management is at, and everyone is bringing their SO to, and yo…

You are confusing love with having a relationship, they are two different things. Just because there aren't conditions on the loving doesn't mean that there aren't conditions on the relationship. If your kid screws up you don't stop loving him, but you may need to kick him out of the house. You still want the best for him, and want to protect him, but he just can't be that big a part of your life any more. Same with a woman, you can still over her because the love isn't conditional on having a r…

I agree with your advice, but at this point this shouldn't be about whether he would win a case if it were filed, nor is it about what freedom of speech means, nor is it about the tragedy that has befallen the modern workplace now that it devoid of people who can take a joke, or the distinction between being offended or feeling harassed. This is about how to have the fewest hassles for the least effort. Court cases, talks with bosses etc are all hassles even if you do win.

I want to second this comment with more than just my upvote. Ignoring her 100% will cause problems, but limiting your talk to work and keeping it cordial is the way to go. If she starts talking about anything not work related just walk away (or whatever is the most similar thing you can do).

I think the point that rantgrrl is trying to make is that even if one does not have direct concrete proof that every detail is accurate or even happened to this person, we shouldn't use it as an excuse to get complacent. We shouldn't just say "Oh it's probably a troll" and dismiss the emotions that were trying to form. These issues are real, very real, and we should be reserve a spot in out psyche for dealing with them.

Texting is fine, but don't ask... tell. "Hey I'm going to be at club x, stop on by". Or something like that. Just make sure it's nothing like: "Hey last week was great, how about we xxxxxxx? or "So do you want to xxxxxx?" You get the difference?

Who looks at women and sees people first, pussies second. Sound like the kind of guy that would naturally be emotionally available to other women. Would you consider it a problem if your guy fulfilled some of the emotional needs of other women (even if, as you so eloquently put it, he is "able to keep his dick in his pants")? Good response, I'm pretty much with you all the way. I too don't find it natural to offer an arm, but I find that it's real easy to break the touch barrier when opening the door. In addition to the eye contact and smile as she walks through the doorway, a confidently placed hand on the small of her back to guide her through does wonders. It seems to remind them that you are able to take charge and choose a direction, and that they can feel secure around you because you literally "have their back…
