I'm in my mid 50s, I've been divorced for two years. The thought of even hooking up with a woman ever again makes me feel physically sick

This is 100% my story too. The only take away I got from this is that once that once her flame of desire goes out, you can never get it to relight

Get those wheels turning as soon as possible, you will not lose anything even if you are still working financials out when the 20 weeks is up. My concern would be if she has a change of heart in the meantime if you delay pulling that trigger. Sorry, divorce has made me SUPER jaded. HMU for any specifics you might think of, and good luck man

I joined a dating app in a moment of optimism. ....and then I kind of gave up, the thought of being with anyone just makes me feel stressed and very very disturbed. Is that weird?

My Mother worked as a secretary at a law firm for many years, did you know January is an enormous spike for divorce? It seems Christmas is a flash point for a lot of relationships. Sad really when you think about it

I also have turned this off wherever it is an option. Too painful otherwise

Kids are exceptionally perceptive, they may well have already picked up on the disharmony. Sorry to say it like this, but you need to be just a little bit selfish. If you are unhappy, then just do it. There is never a "right time" for decisions like this. Prioritise your happiness and mental wellbeing Good luck man

I'm in a similar place, but I'm in my mid 50s. I genuinely think I'm 100% done with dating at this point, I've found my balance. I'm happier without the possible disruption that a woman might bring

They both just nodded and seemd to accept it. Almost like they had already figured this out. Neither reacted worse than the other

I happened to be at the house (I'd temporarily moved out at this point). We called them down from bedrooms and broke it to them there and then. It's not easy, but it will be a kind of relief. If that makes any sense. I guarantee they will not be totally surprised. If that helps in any way

My kids were 12 & 14 when we told them. They weren't surprised at all. Just present the facts and tell them that you will love them just the same. My guess, is that they will surprise you in how the react. Good luck

For two children under 20 (in full time education) with them NOT staying with me any nights (I'm renting a bedsit, so it's not possible) - then the most the CSA can order you to pay is £500pcm. I know, becuase that's where I am. If you are paying more than that, then she is taking the p*ss.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
