I enjoyed reading this article very much. Every man (and woman) has their definition of what a "alpha male" is. If you take away the the title, the OP's article is about being an honest and genuine male specimen.

I used to be the exact same way. This quote I heard when I was 18 has resonated with me since. Hear all, trust nothing - Rules of Acquisition #190 Since then I listened to to every piece of opinion and criticism out there whether it be for my work or personal choices. Good or bad and I never take it to heart. If I felt their input was logical, I would keep it in mind. If I felt the opinion was destructive to my goal, I would discard ever having the conversation. Bottom line, I'd do what I felt w…

You need to learn to avoid the walls before you can aim to be number one. Sorry, let me simplify - You need to learn to walk before you run.

Well played. The trick is to really not act like a creepy douche. There were so many opportunities of making the wrong move but you did well. You stuck to being a cool guy and she was comfortable. When it comes to meeting a girl, maintain the mindset of NO EXPECTATIONS! Congrats :) Also, upvote for your honesty in not lasting long. lol.

Awesome post. Also like the 'How I rebuilt myself' post. Good job on satisfying that long lived curiosity.

Too bad you weren't in front of him in line.

I don't entirely agree with the OP's methodology but in his defense, maybe some of you are looking at it the wrong way or he' struggling with the 'friends zone' at a much deeper level. It's a productive move on his part versus getting "used". He's not I'll coercing the women in any way. The 'orbiters' (I actually don't like this term) are willing to be his friend and reciprocate with sex, there's really no harm, no foul.

You did the right thing. You followed your gut. You didn't do anything wrong on the date. If she liked you, she would've compromised maybe even find the fidgeting "nervousness" cute. Based on how you're telling the story, you knew her heart wasn't in it and as a result you're not attracted to her. You did good; especially not losing sleep over her and knowing you're simply not attracted to her. As Jay-Z once said, on to the next one.

Under different circumstances, I'd agree with you but he only has one shot at this. By restarting the conversation at a later time is perpetuating a cycle that is gonna get old pretty fast with her and ultimately result in her thinking he's annoying. Take the chance. Do it right once and then leave it alone. Remember, she probably think' she has you figured out and is expecting you to give her all the attention. The trick is to throw her off. Give her the Mr. Charming attention on that one-time …

Your mistake was coming off un-confident. If you're going to say something, don't sound unsure - Say it like you mean it. Show that you're interested. Be the charming nice guy that you are. Keep the conversation going. Don't be the first to walk away. Let her be the one to walk away. After that, give her a few opportunities to initiate a chat with you. After a few times she doesn't initiate and/or comes off like a snob - Don't pay any attention to her. "Play the game she plays" Goodluck!

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
