I really recommend nice dress shirts, khakis, and polos to everyone. Those clothes are timeless and you won't have to worry about replacing your entire wardrobe to move to the new trend.

I often notice guys before they are standing in front of me trying to chat me up. Thanks for saying this. I thought that part was a little unbelievable.

Ahh, nice catch. MaxwellPUA, you have failed me. :(

I just wanted to say that your grammar checks out perfectly. English major? Or did you just pay attention in 101? And your point is fine as well.

Ahh, now I see that the term must be relative and not universal. If you saw my Louis C.K. post, you will see that I insinuated the idea that "gold" is analogous to "genius." Now, genius is absolute--someone simply cannot be declared a genius for bringing an extra cup. Gold, in the physical sense, is also absolute and universal. I should have realized about the figurative. I used it just recently, actually, in a debate where I said a source I found was gold to me. It was for me and not the opposi…

I suppose. I will concede the point that the mindset of the insecure is different; be that as it may, I cannot, in the slightest, understand how it is an epiphany to hear someone say to another: "Don't go with girls that don't like you because of your race," regardless of whether or not you're insecure.
/r/seduction19/11/12 06:32 PM

Yes, but I still don't understand how it's gold.

Figures I get downvoted. It reminds me of a skit done by Louis C.K. "I brought an extra cup in case we needed extra cups." "Duuuuude! You're a genius!" Person with the cup gives a smirk.

Fucking gold? How is that "fucking gold"? It should be blatant to not do that.

Was that not what MadDog was trying to make a point of? It seems NahDude thought it important to distinguish the difference between "game" and "inner-self," and I now realize that as I just said that last statement, I am wrong and you are right. Seems as though I was conceptually confused about the situation.

I think he used semantics in the proper context. What is NahDude saying where semantics isn't an application?

Yes, you are definitely freaking out. I suspect two things here. 1 - Confirmation bias. Are you sure this is true with EVERY girl? Maybe it's half. What if the half that look away have a bigger impact. 2 - Many girls don't like to make eye contact. Ugly guy = avoid eye contact. Hot guy = avoid eye contact. I've seen this with my friends in college. We would hang out in some room, attractive guy walks in, they glance, then look away, and AS SOON as the guy passes by my friends, they look up at hi…

I wouldn't NEVER prevent one of my friends. I think it's circumstantial. What if I want to game them? However, the old wing said "uni FRIENDS," so yes, old wing sucks.

Fuck this advice. It makes you seem like an arrogant Bill O' Reilly.

It's not ugly, but it's certainly not good. From my experience, girls who profess their problems to you think of you as friends in absolute. Now, this could be a plus, if a random girl starts talking to the girl who shares her problems she may say "I love nmioni!" because of what you do. This is a real positive.

Shaking hands with everyone.... certainly bold. Some people may think you're weird, I would think you are pretty fucking ballsy. Any stranger who introduces themselves to me already leaves a good impression.

Right now I just feel like giant dicks that I didn't approach her -- I feel like I failed Stop thinking that right now. You didn't approach her. That's too bad. But you're still living and you ARE going to approach the next girl..... right? You need to do this in baby steps. Approach girls not wanting ANYTHING but practice opening and having a conversation with them. My first random interaction was at a music festival. I just told her "I like your dress (it was a celtic festival and she had a co…

Stop giving a fuck that you didn't do anything. Throw your fucks out the window. There's quite an amount of posts here that state "What have you got to lose?" when approaching a girl. Seriously, what have you got to lose? She rejects you. "OH NO! IT'S THE END OF THE WORLD!". Most girls (In my experience) don't mind being approached, as long as you don't come off as wanting her pussy, being desperate. If a girl does reject you, she will probably let you down easy and with maybe with a smile. She'…

Kino is touching the girl. A handshake is kino. Playing footsies under the coffee table is kino. It is a huge indicator of interest. Read the sidebar while you wait for someone else to answer your questions. I would only give you shit answers.

Very valid points. I know I need to work on just generating small talk. But being very introverted, it's hard for me. Baby steps! At the start of the summer, my conversation skills weren't great either. That's all changed now.

Multiple problems. You left an impression simply by walking away. They came up to you, and you got a second chance! You didn't talk to them much along the way! This is a biggie. How could they give their numbers to a person they barely talked to and connected with? Don't ask for their number, demand it.

I don't know Mystery Method, but that particular example is just dead wrong there. At least, according to where I live.

Oh well that's a little different then. You might want to cross post to /r/Askwomen They may give you a better answer. But be forewarned. Some of them can be really condescending.

Of course dude. You don't act like that with the ladies. That's good. I get that. But you mentioned that it was your lady FRIENDS that mentioned you were cocky. You don't have anything to worry about with the ladies. Just don't be an ass to your friends.

That's the thing. When I'm with my close friends, yea, I crack jokes and act like an ass with them. Well there you go. I never want my friends to be an ass with me.

How often do you crack jokes? Come off as condescending just ONCE, and boom! Girls think you're a douche.

HA! I've never ever ever ever met a girl that immediately says "I have a boyfriend" for complimenting them on their clothing. And if she does say it that early in the conversation, it's probably a shit-test.
/r/seduction07/08/12 12:33 AM

That's absolutely ridiculous! Who told you this?
/r/seduction07/08/12 12:24 AM

No problem! I would also recommend saving it for later, as it is a double compliment! The first, you are just complimenting her dress and her sense of fashion (not like us guys would know anything about fashion, amirite? lol). The second, you are not only complimenting her dress and her fashion, you are complimenting her body as well. You are saying her body is nice and fits well into the dress. You are not only saying she knows what clothes look good, you are saying she knows what looks good on…
/r/seduction06/08/12 10:16 PM

That probably depends on the situation. If I'm going to use an opening line and wanted to open with a compliment, I would probably use the former, though there is really nothing wrong with the later. But if I were to use your later said statement, it would probably be after we are already into a conversation.

The difference is that people control what they wear and do to themselves, they had to put effort into it, and when they receive positive feedback, it actually envokes a feeling of pride and accomplishment vs if you said something about their smile or "cuteness" or other part of them that they can't change and aren't necessarily responsible for. You hit the nail on the head in saying that.
/r/seduction06/08/12 10:09 PM

Definitely agree with #4. I've seen so many guys dive in with compliment of the looks. If she's wearing a dress, start by complimenting her dress! Save the looks for later.
/r/seduction06/08/12 08:46 PM
5

You're worrying too much. Don't worry too much. Compliment her, but something she has control over, like clothes. Save the compliments for looks later. Don't let it get silent for too long in the beginning of the conversation. Ask her questions. You're bound to get to something your interested in, and once you do, nothing you need to worry about. For the future, this belongs in /r/Askseddit as this is pertaining to an individual situation.

You asked her to come over? What the hell? How long have you known her? That seemed kinda quick. No biggie. Here is a game I played with a girl over chat on facebook. We just confessed secrets about each other. "WELL I KNOW YOUR SECRETS NOW MUAHAHAHA! lol" "i know yours. biatch" "It seems we have reached an impasse" "oh well" "NO It must be settled." Man, you can easily be witty when you are texting! It's not like you are in person. And if she doesn't reply for a while, just use one of the examples given here. "If I had to grade your replying skills, you would get an F." and if she makes an excuse, don't you EVER say "oh, it's okay." Say something like "Nice excuse.... at least your trying. For that you get an F+" It's easy to be witty when texting.

This is so vague, I don't even.... Okay, biggest rule: Be fun, and don't be so serious! BAD: "How was your day?" "Good." "Well that's good." "Yeah." "What did you do today?" And so on and so on... Be more fun. Something more like: "How was your day?" "Good." (Depending on whether or not you saw her) "How can it be good if you didn't see me today?" "Oh, was it because you saw me today?" Something of the sort.

I've read "Scar Tissue" by Anthony Kiedis (and I recommend everybody in this sub to read it as well, even if you don't like Red Hot Chili Peppers!). This dude is a fucking A+ Alpha. I however did not see much wrong with Conan. Not the best example, but many of us can learn a thing or two from Anthony Kiedis.
