and men have the strength in their arms and the ability to be seen as leaders in more male dominated countries. There is checks and balances everywhere. Thanks for saying I'm reasonable... too bad this sub has become unreasonable. You get downvoted because you don't go apeshit for a man's right to dominate? bah.

Okay but you are focusing on the male situation in a place where they aren't very disadvantaged. You know, I'm starting to see why people hate MRAs so much... you are as bad as feminists in that you refuse to acknowledge when you are overreaching in your need to save one specific group compared to others. It makes me sad honestly because this sub has turned into a big group of guys who process stories and complain but never seem to do anything productive or important. I used to think of myself a…

Maybe it's just me but I try and be equal in my judgement. If one side is disadvantaged, I will try and support it regardless of it's background. I like men's rights because they are ignored in the US to a large extent. However in the Caribbean, they aren't a real issue. It's sad and funny that people on reddit who have probably never been in the Caribbean (besides on cruise ships) are trying to make an issue of this.

What bullshit? Where I live or what needs attention? Go ahead and tell me how I'm wrong? Yesterday a guy was begging me for money... you'd think that he would spend it on drugs but he was ecstatic when I gave him cans of tunafish. The schools are shit and anyone who is sent to jail or prison have to to pay a huge fine or work the fields (which is most folks since poverty is common down here) or they get lashed if their crime is serious. I'm all for men's rights and for pushing equality regarding…

I live in the Caribbean too. Island of Saint Kitts and Nevis. You are too far gone if you think that you have to argue for Men's rights down here. The rights that need to be fought for are basic rights like help for the homeless, attention to the schools, and the removal of an ineffective government. Go ahead and tell me why you really need to complain about how unfairly men are treated over everyone else down here though.

In the Caribbean, there is equality in that everyone gets screwed equally down here. This is not really relevant to the men's rights fight so you can be outraged but please realize that there is a lot of nasty shit happening to a lot of people down here. Women might be treated slightly better but that's just because they can rely on what's between their legs.

There is victim blaming and then there are suspicious circumstances. It sounds like the guy went back with the MP to his room, got naked in the guy's bed, and then was "raped". You can try and say that this is a case of victim blaming but it sounds just as suspicious to me as when a girl gets into a guys bed naked and then gets "raped". Also, the MP has a ton of credibility to lose so there is a great motive to stage something like this. Honestly, no one has the facts but I think I am a bit sad …

If someone really did this to me. If I spent 8 months proving my innocence and they never raised a finger to be honest about it? It's hard to say. I would want to make her pay but I know that the first real damage to her life would come back to me because I would be a huge and very likely suspect. I would love to break her sense of security like she did to another by lying. Wait a few years, then break into her house and steal a few things and leave some random item that makes no sense. She woul…

You are looking too deep at this. Attraction brings people together so that they might fall in love. The salary is a big part of that attraction. It's important to women in the beginning but yes, when they fall in love, it's probably not a good relationship if they leave you if you lose that income. Also, you sound like a paranoid MRA. Women can be good and bad. Good night.

Probably because if you were planning to just fall in love, you wouldn't need an online dating site that post statistics and facts. You are acting like the world is fair? It is not. Women get to choose who they are with and they would likely prefer someone who has their shit together which usually means they have a good living wage. Sorry but you have to make yourself appealing to others and that might mean having a good wage. You can find ladies that don't care about the wage but it's a bad ide…

I guess I am. I came out of college starting at 40k. This is also the view of most of the women that I know. Maybe if you wait long enough, you can find the one girl who agrees with you and settles.

Depends on where you live and living expenses in the area. Teachers are paid a ton more in Cali compared to Montana.

Yep, I agree. Just saying that they probably have a criteria and perhaps the guys with the high salary fit a lot of that criteria besides their income? :|

Of course they do. You gotta have some empathy and realize that if you could, you would prefer a partner with a higher income. It usually shows that they have their stuff together and can provide a good relationship. I'm not saying that people with 30-40k are bad candidates but most girls won't be impressed by a teacher's salary. Also, like accountt1234 mentioned, this data is skewed.

It fooled me. A lot of the news articles seemed like they could easily be realistic.

Nah. It's not depressing. I think that you should understand that a lot of rules apply to both men and women. If you met a friend who was a little too attentive to you, who just wanted you to know that he loves and respects you, and that he started buying gifts for you, you would freak out. That's the same thing. If you meet a guy friend who is fun to be around, confident in his opinions, and is nice to you but not with any special attention, then you will generally like him. A women doesn't wan…

I'd say... be social with folks and have tact. If you don't want to dance and she asked you, say you hurt your knee or some other excuse that people will probably accept. Regarding the other guy, don't listen to him. I find that the most popular (and sometimes the happiest) folks in the world are the ones that follow their own drummer. Insecure folks will see that as confident, secure, and attractive and will start to respect you or fall in line with you.

I approve of this question. You can discuss it on facebook and explain your thought process to the people on there. Different meanings for different people. Some will say "It's because men don't listen and are terrible creatures." You will say "Because men don't rape. Rapists do." -Casperfec It opens the question to discussion which is what we should want and need in order to expand the thoughts and minds of others.

I actually used to go to church with Ritch in Viera. I never really thought much of the guy besides the fact that he was light hearted about everything. I also knew he was having trouble with his wife but I didn't know he divorced. I'll have to contact him and thank him for proposing this bill!

Yes but this is just about a homeless guy getting shot by the police which might be too much force. If this was about a woman shooting him in the eye, then raping him, then suing for child support after getting pregnant and winning, and then killing him later and not getting charged, it would be more relevant.

I would imagine that was made up. If that's a real statistic, then I would likely assume that there is a very problem with the idea that there is such a disparity in assigning sex offender status between genders. Just because women don't have something they can shove in someone doesn't make them any less likely to sexually abuse a boy.

Your bias showed when I looked at your comment history and realized that you post a ton of anti-women comments on a ton of mensrights topics. You also showed immaturity when you demanded that I leave rather than engage me in any sort of conversation. I seriously don't give any fucks about you or what you say simply due to the fact that you clearly have no interest in exploring any ideals but rather you simply seem to want to insult women and get angry if anyone posts anything that does anything …

Sorry to try and stay humored or to be honest in my posts. Also, I'm not a feminist or a misandrist but a moderate in my judgements. I look at both sides and try to make a fair opinion rather than jump on the "hate the women" bandwagon that a lot of people are prescribing to on this subreddit. Perhaps you could try it if you can ever escape your pit of bias posts and childish insults?

I've been here for a while but I mostly lurk. I have avoided the comments because most of you are dicks. I'm not leaving because I love arguing with your biased comments and pointing out how much you all sound like feminists for men which is funny when you think about how much you hate feminists... :D

He states he was but it doesn't say if that actually happened... He says she says.... Another redditor pointed out that a sober witness placed her as intentionally kicking him in an aggressive manner which would amount to assault so my position has changed from "he did this but we aren't sure of her" to "they both should be charged with their respective crimes... why isn't she in trouble?" I'm always happy to recount my positions if I'm wrong.

Rereading the entire article, I missed that line about the only sober witness talking about how she intentionally attacked him which is why I was saying that no one knew what she did to him but it was obvious what he did to others. I wasn't decided on her being innocent and him being guilty, I just thought that there was no reliable witnesses for the "play fighting" Since that's the case, and thank you for pointing that out as most people have been just saying I'm a man hating person, I agree th…

As I sport a fine dick, I doubt that I am a misandrist (had to look that up lol). I also am part of the mens right board so that might also say something about my feelings on these topics as I generally feel that custody arrangements, alimony payments, and other topics are very unfair towards the male gender. I also support women's rights and I feel that judgement should be objective for all parties. Moving on... if you read my post carefully, I pointed out that I felt that while he deserved to …

Thanks white_cloud for pointing out that perception. I tend to picture myself in those situations and I workout a lot and it might have been a small guy being abused.

Alright but why? Also, I'm saying she probably did but maybe she didn't mean it? There is no way to tell how much harm she really caused and the only thing clear in the article was how he went out of control after she did it. Female violence on men is just not ok and it is sad how society thinks that violence on men is ok. It's a reason why I'm part of /r/mensrights but I'm thinking of just removing the board due to how marginalized any comment that doesn't bash women.

Okay seriously... why the hell are these posts getting downvotes? You guys seriously need to reconsider your position in examining these articles. If all you do is quote an article and add a one liner about how women suck, then you aren't helping your side at all. Who knows if she really kicked him in the nuts that hard? I'm sure if I was on the bench, I would try to exaggerate any infliction on me? He CHASED her and beat up two other guys. I think that he surely deserves to be there and whether…

Upvote for you for your objectiveness... I like Mensrights but they are sometimes so biased, it undermines their overall purpose and makes them no better than the feminists they so hate. As a guy, I've accidentally hit people a little harder than I meant which ended up turning into a real fight and it's not out of the question for the girl to have been making a real show of kicking when she tried to pull back at the last second and couldn't causing direct harm. For that, she should be punished b…

Is it possible that this is simply an example of some wicked people taking advantage of another person through coercion by utilizing the vague and flexible provisions of the rape statutes? I don't really think the rage and bad language is appropriate and it certainly doesn't make your complaints shine in a good light.
