My husband is someone who likes to look at everything and talk to everyone. My errands are errands, I know what I need and where I need to go, and I like to stick to that. I have bipolar type 2 and one of my symptoms during hypomania is over-spending.. and viewing shopping as a “window-gazing” kinda “fun” activity can be dangerous for me. So I try to be very strict about viewing it as more of a “chore” and less of a “fun activity”. Weirdly enough I also view shopping as part of “me” time. I rare…

Politician 1: Our policies aren’t popular.. what should we do to get elected? Politician 2: It’s obviously a problem with candidate’s genitals! We need a candidate with different genitals! Politician 1: How will their genitals change anything? Politician 2: it just will you sexist pig!! Politician 1: Yeah that makes sense! Good idea! Electing someone based on nothing other than what type of genitals they have is clearly the right idea!

I don’t fault you for thinking that. I once wasted quite a bit of my time trying to engage with him, before someone let me know that he has like 20 other accounts that he posts the same thing over and and over from. Just doin my part to hopefully help someone else not waste their time

Well that’s what I’m tying to establish. The definitions that the groups all give for the other groups seem to be either in accurate or align with some people and not others. Aka, there’s a lot of variability of thought within all the groups. Examples: blatant misandrists and blatant misogynists. Both exist. Most Men’s Rights Activists don’t consider themselves to be misogynist, yet many feminists think they are. And similarly, most Feminists don’t consider themselves to be misandrist, yet many …

" and my only worth is my sexuality " Didn't say that, I said that's all they have to offer. I’m not even going to read past this equivocation. It’d be unfair of me to expect someome who is mentally handicapped to be able to keep up. Toodles!

I’m not going to lie, your first paragraph went way over my head. But the rest of it was fascinating. It makes a lot of sense. I’ve never heard it said like this before and it was really thought-provoking. Thanks for commenting

Thanks! In my real life experience most women agree with me, (although that’s undoubtedly a biased sample since everyone surrounds themselves with like-minded people)... It makes me sad to hear it’s so rare. And 99% of the guys here are just as reasonable and logical back to me as well so it’s a great sub for me to be a part of. Though I gotta say it’d be easier if there weren’t the vocal 1% here who respond to my posts as if I’ve personally asked them to commit suicide in the name of me having …

Oh ok gotcha. Then yep I’m totally on board with your comment. I get into arguments with people all the time about this when the topic of “toxic masculinity” comes up

Thanks! But lack of men getting laid in general isn't down to "well we aren't just having as many wars and disposable foot soldiers eradicated." I think it's more layered than that. Definitely. Good point. Also it doesn't help the woman has lumped a good cross section of humanity as useless meat popsicles and potential "cannon fodder." You're just lumping a whole lot of people into a stereotype That’s a big problem I have with what she posted, and honestly as well as with a lot of generalized as…

Why would "rich women" be a negative? I'm saying it isn't really a positive My bad. I thought you were saying the rich/working woman type woman was a negative. would argue that is entirely because women don't bring anything to the table like they used to. A woman who makes you a plate/cooks/cleans/sweet/feminine/graceful is basically a unicorn these days. In general yes you’re right. But just for argument’s sake, that does depend on the company you keep. In my circle of family & friends this isn…

Yeah I think most of the comments on this post seem to generally agree with this, and now I do too. When I posted it, it was hard for me to see a serious point in something that started with “men aren’t dying at high enough rates”

I had a hard time following this because I think you used the word “you” to apply to the person who wrote the stuff in the screen shot.. but then also I think you use it in the general sense to mean like “people” maybe? Idk I could just be brain fried from a busy week but I just had a tough time understanding this one.
/r/MensRights22/08/19 05:36 PM
1

I kind of disagree. I don’t know the death rates for men and women, but I would be pretty surprised if women were dying at higher rate than men. The part about bitter incels for sure can be applied to both men and women. But I think she was right about historically those men would die younger anyway for wars and hard work and what not. Women haven’t had to go to war so that whole part can’t be compared. And it’s been mainly men who have made huge contributions to the advancement of civilization.…

I think feminism is cancer. But I’m interested to know more about what you mean. I’ll be honest I’m not the most educated person about feminism since I think it’s trash. Is “Honest Feminism” a specific thing, or were you saying it more like this is feminism with the poster actually being honest about what it is?

This made me laugh. Although someone as misandrist as her probably uses language like this often, so she probably could use predictive text to write it.

How fucking soulless does one have to be to say shit like that? Yeah that’s what’s so ironic. She’s opining about worthless males while clearly displaying how cold and hateful she is. All other societal, cultural, or gender-based aspects aside, no one will want to be with someone like her simply because she’s clearly a shit human. Also you raise interesting points about your compassionate solutions.

Women have maximized their Sexual expression culturally&socially. For context, I’m a woman, but I actually really agree with this. In less than a minute I can pull up porn of women doing every single sexual thing imaginable. There’s no longer any sense of specialness that a woman could provide for a man. When we point out the fact that Women objectify themselves by wearing makeup&revealing clothing, we are called "Slut Shamers" even though we're just pointing out their obvious intentions. Very t…

I’m a woman, and I’m not here to make an argument about whether or not women should work (My personal views on women working are biased because I believe it’s important to have one parent staying home raising kids). So if we can skip over that to this part they thought if they were rich they could get a very hot guy I think you’re right in majority of cases. But there does seem to be a decent chunk of men out there who do go for rich women. I have no idea what their motivations are, just saying …

As a lot of people have pointed out in the comments, she was trying to make a valid point but it’s hard to see it through her misandry. I think your comment is pretty fricken extreme and arguably worse than what she said.
/r/MensRights22/08/19 04:42 PM
2

I agree. I think there are ways to make these points without a misandrist statement such a as “men aren’t dying at high enough rates” lol. The way she did it was like making a valid point about pedophilia but saying “children aren’t raped at high enough rates”.
/r/MensRights22/08/19 04:40 PM

Yeah I think there was definitely some degree of honesty in here, except it’s not obvious because it’s hidden under extreme misandry
/r/MensRights22/08/19 04:39 PM
1

Yeah that does make sense. I didn’t think of that. The only argument against that I guess would be if she has kids with what she’s consider to be not an inferior man. But actually even if that were the case what you said is still true since her and her genes are “inferior”

If you didn't see that it applied to you why'd you speak up in the first that it doesn't Because your comments made it seem like you were talking about all women. I’m a woman, so I would be included in “all women”. So I was “speaking up” because I believe you’re wrong and was using myself as an example. Perhaps because it does apply you to but you just lie about it Also, it was said in the plural yet you felt the need to contradict the statement by referring to yourself alone. Female hivemind in…

Glad you consider yourself to be plural 'women' I don’t, I literally just said what I am and something about myself... how in the world is that me saying I’m speaking for all (or even just more than 1) women? It was rather straightforward You could’ve been being sarcastic and typed it the exact same way. Some people on Reddit do that and don’t know about “/s” so it can be hard to tell. Why are you being such a jerk?

Check out r/inceltears or even r/niceguys and r/judtneckbeardthings. It’s a really specific type of person. They all talk the same and have very similar attitudes and ideologies. It’s definitely a defined group of people
/r/MensRights22/08/19 01:54 PM
1

That is true to some extent, but it’s still the only one of those that actually have a specific definition for a specific type of person. Like you can pick someone out of a group of people as an incel based off of what they say and stuff. You can’t exactly do that with the other insults, as they all translate to “you suck” as opposed to a specific ideology & sexual status

I think your theory is right. It seems like this continued well past the hunting/gathering point of history too. There have been quite a few comments pointing out men like Tesla who made great contributions to humanity despite not being an “alpha” male

You hit the nail on the head here. Many other commenters pointed out that there is some object truth to her statement, which I agree with. But the obvious misandry and lack of empathy that she displays are what makes it so appalling
/r/MensRights22/08/19 01:36 PM

Interesting point. I think because your said women are “susceptible” to becoming useless to society you aren’t incorrect.. but because of all the ways now that women can contribute besides being mothers I think that’s significant less of an issue in 2019 western countries
/r/MensRights22/08/19 01:34 PM

The way you explain it does make sense. However While not entirely wrong, I do think the poster doesn't understand the complexity of the issues at hand. Assuming they aren't just a troll. This part gives her too much credibility. There is blatant misandry in her words.

/r/MensRights22/08/19 01:17 PM

The difference is that when women complain about men having "unrealistic" standards or not liking certain kinds of women, people empathize. When men complain about women, people call them Incels and loath them I agree with this whole part except where you say “call them incels”. Incels are a very specific group of men... usually anyone who knows the word incel would use it correctly

Also, it is mostly women that socialize boys. This is true. Women who are correctly socializing boys to be men of upstanding character are likely not teaching them feminist theory. This seeing as feminists these days think that men can be women (they disavow gender) and also they can’t be bothered to get married or have kids because that would mean they were submitting to the patriarchy or some shit. The funny (/sad) thing is that the senator who said that is the one who stole valor by claiming he served in Vietnam when he didn’t. He is the last person who should’ve been grandstanding about truth.

I can see your points. I was raped, and I don’t find Ford credible at all.. and so I’m coming at this from the standpoint that is scenario A. I do not know what the truth is, but I don’t see there being anything wrong with having a discussion here about this under the (hypothetical, I guess) assumption that Kavanaugh is innocent. If we can’t have a civil discussion about this possibility here, where can we? If it’s scenario B, then there’s really no reason to discuss it. Especially considering t…

You can go to literally any place else on the internet to debate the process of the senate judiciary committee. I’m all about MRA but So you hijacked this to say, what you brought up in your post isn’t important, I want to argue the politics. My questions wasn’t about investigations or if he is innocent or not. It was about the fact that he believes he is innocent, and isn’t being allowed to have emotions. Which I believe is because he’s a man

His name has been drug through the mud in a way that he will never get his good reputation back. If he is being honest that he’s innocent, which I believe, then he has a right to be mad. And despite all that, he clearly felt upset and is being mocked for it, by leftists. Leftist media people who on other issues have made it clear that they’re feminists. Feminists supposedly disapprove of what they call “toxic masculinity” which would mean they shouldn’t be making fun of him for being emotional

I’ve seen some feminists say the terms are interchangeable, and some say they’re different. Tbh, I don’t know enough about the history to have an opinion on “hegemonic” masculinity. Except then, it referred to men being feminized and relinquishing their positive masculine traits in favour of them as toxic. It also encouraged male bonding, something which was, and still largely is a crucial factor for healthy male development. I think now they’re saying that men don’t allow other men to have any …
/r/MensRights27/09/18 01:57 AM

The idea that society would “train men to do anything to subordinate women” blows my mind. That’s some crazy conspiracy sounding stuff. Do they think men meet up somewhere and discuss how to devalue the women in their lives? labels several negative traits as "masculine," and attempts to label many positive traits as "toxic” ^ This is really well-said. It really sums up the problem well
/r/MensRights27/09/18 01:52 AM
1

No I think it’s not a happy definition at all. I think it’s “toxic feminism” is extremely damaging for all the reasons you listed. Feminists claim that “toxic masculinity” is one of the aspects of feminism that is super pro-men. They think it’s happy, but it’s not.
/r/MensRights27/09/18 01:41 AM
1

Haha. I think when it comes to talking about how to treat men or women fairly / not in a “toxic” way, the objective would be to eliminate sexism towards both genders. The irony is that feminists claim you can’t be sexist against a man
/r/MensRights27/09/18 01:39 AM

I’ll go first: I think it might’ve started out with a definition that was supposed to be helpful to men, so that feminists could back up their “we’re not misandrists” claim. But it most certainly doesn’t mean that anymore. Feminists always “woMAN-splain” to me what the clinical definition of it is, neglecting the real world anti-male hatred that has become associated with the term. I can’t even count the number of times I’ve heard feminists spew sexist garbage and claim they are immune to critic…

“Don’t be an asshole” / “don’t be a toxic person” is something that everyone can get behind. If that’s all it was, you would see us who are passion about men’s rights be on board with it. But we’re not. And it’s not because we all don’t understand what it is. Your description neglects the anti-male hatred that feminism loads into ‘toxic masculinity’, and that’s an aspect of it that is real despite your clinical definition of it. It might’ve started out with that definition, but it most certainly…

That was an interesting read that basically negated your point by saying that all different styles of families outside of the nuclear family are better than single-parenthood.. such as multigenerational family for example. I’d be interested in the data you used to say that they’re more likely to end in jail and/or poverty. Not because I disagree with you, because I do think single parent in general are worse than 2 parents in general. I just truly believe that if one of the 2 parents is abusive, then the non-abusive parent would be better to be single. So I’d like to see if the studies account for that at all

This is really well-said. I think the lack-of-resources requires single dads to be more resourceful and it can contribute to them improving themselves as parents. Of course that only applies to men who are the type of person to take initiative so that doesn’t apply to all men. But I still get upset when I think of some of the extra hoops men have to jump through, especially when it comes to parental rights and custody issues. I know nothing about the actual percentages. Just sharing my own experience, which was that having a single dad for a parent is significantly better than it was having an abusive mom and a dad who avoided facing reality during the abuse because he was being emotionally abused too.
/r/MensRights25/09/18 07:59 PM

A huge percentage, I’m sure. That happened to my dad, which is why I’m extremely passionate about men’s rights. I also have a male family member who was accused of rape just to have the girl admit she made it up. The courts fucking suck with how they assume the woman is right, even if she’s bat shit crazy.

You see so much evidence of how badly it effects kids who have no Dad in the picture, and in my experience, having no mom made things better. Obviously not a universal principle. But, …
