If someone considers it to be worth their time, they will make time for it, whether it be at home using five gallon buckets of sand as weight, doing push ups and sit ups with the kids making noise and using the door frame as a pull up bar, or driving or walking to the gym every other day. Resources must be used on something useful or that can bring benefit. There is absolutely no way that you can be wasting money and time if you are going to the gym if it is for your own benefit.

I agree with most of what you say. However, the reason I believe TRP gives for lifting is because it provides some level of discipline and dedication. You say people will run out of time or won't have time.
