I find it hard to believe that someone who is unequivocally clear about her needs and boundaries with the men she actually dates, would be this rattled by a male “friend” for two full days. Idk. Doesn’t pass the smell test for me. And AITA is a notoriously LARPing, baiting, nonsense sub.

Vet tip: Ask a date or male “friend” what he thinks of AOC.

Then they are gaslit into believing they have a mental disorder, personality disorder, or PPD. The prevalence of this bothers me so much. It’s like the modern day version of “hysteria”. The reality is if they weren’t being treated like shit, demoralized, and without options, they would probably not be so angry or internalizing their anger (depression).

I guess I don’t see being able to party and have sex more freely a privilege, especially as compared to saving for ones future. The premise of course that the family is stable, emotionally supportive, etc. which is itself also a socio-economic privilege. Again, I fully appreciate the good faith discussion. And I don’t want to derail from the OP further. Competitive, undermining, unsupportive women have no place in any of our lives. Period. I fully support cutting them off.

Living rent-free is a privilege. Most people if given the opportunity to live with a loving and stable family while they pay off student loans, develop their savings, etc., would take it. There is no financial advantage to living independently so I don’t see how it can be considered a privilege. No argument from me that her “friend” was being shitty about it. Thank you for the good faith discussion!

Exactly my point, thank you. We can have different circumstances and be mutually supportive and respectful. I would argue that acknowledging our privilege is something we should do as HV women.

So true, but in my experience they play it off like “I’m just making conversation… sheesh” and act like you are paranoid or strange. Personally I just don’t want to engage it. I’m not explaining shit and I don’t owe men answers.

Ugh. I call this info-taining. It’s so transparent when people talk to you just to dry to dig for dirt. Best to avoid these types.

I don’t know that I’d call that ironic, it’s a natural outcome of each of your circumstances. Presumably you were able to save a lot of money by living at home, and that was likely not an option for her. If that privilege is acknowledged it would probably help the friendship, if it is worth saving. Edit: re-reading and seeing from your other comments there are issues that make this relationship sound like it’s not worth preserving. I just want to point out that it’s a little… smug to look down o…

Women should lie for self protection. “Where do you live”? And other seemingly innocuous questions easily create dangerous situations for us. Until someone is thoroughly vetted, they’re not getting that information from me. Why should I provide it? So they can look me up and track me down? Pass. I’m also not getting into a weird conversation by answering “sorry I’m not comfortable telling you where I live”. I don’t need to justify my own safety and mental peace. Until men stop being rapists, abu…

He absolutely enjoys emotionally abusing and humiliating the wife. It’s possible the gf does as well, but she is more likely completely gaslit and psychologically abused herself.

Harem to show off to his boys club is the truth when it comes to exceptionally wealthy men.

Vote for keeping FDS a covid-free zone. Every space on the internet doesn’t need to be about it.

It’s so very strange and surprising that some of the ultimate racists, exploiters, and destroyers descendants wouldn’t treat women properly.

Pro-gun laws and divorce laws that are fair to women are highly difficult to find together in any US state. Please correct me, if anyone who knows where these places are. My experience is that it’s one or the other. Look at the new abortion laws coming out - pro-gun states are often the more anti-women states.

I tell them I don’t think we share the same values. This is one area where I think it’s worthwhile to tell them why you’re not interested. It’s so normalized that it will never occur to them otherwise. The more women that outright reject them for their social media/online behavior the better. I also point out that if this is what they are putting out publicly for all the world to see, what do they consume privately? They have demonstrated to me their brain is warped by spending so much time onli…

I am so glad this has not been my experience. I’m going to call the many wonderful older women in my life and thank them. I feel really grateful now. I am so sorry many of you had this experience. We will never be those older women to our younger sisters.

I tell them this every chance I get. “I like women who…” “Don’t ever change your…” ✋ I don’t care.

Yes I wouldn’t put one in traditional school either, but surround them with like-minded families via alternative schooling. There are a lot of great schools out there that are educationally sound. I also think seeing it once on a friends phone is not comparable to having constant unfettered access to this material on a device that is incredibly addictive.

At this point, I wouldn’t give a male child access to a smartphone or internet, as long as he is under my roof. I think a tremendous amount of damage can be removed right there. The (perceived or real) social downsides are worth it. I deeply believe that. Their attention span, learning comprehension, and overall emotional, social, and psychological well-being will thank you later.

He is so ignorant it’s insulting. He literally says on the last slide that in modern times there are no sexual risks to women. Ok Brett. And remind me what makes them the prize? Because we oh so badly need their precious dicks? We are horny all the time and strategizing how to trick them into bed? (Wait…) What is it that would possibly make them the prize? Can you imagine a dude saying to you “I only buy drinks for women I’ve made out with passionately”??? EWW even the most pickme of pickmes wou…

She’s wearing color contacts, 99% confident she had a nose job, and her hair is European strait (not even counting the other modifications)… doesn’t read black is beautiful to me.

Me too. He took a lot of pride in it. Talked to me about human trafficking and how it’s the biggest social issue he cares about. Years later, in an extremely deep dive, I found the vilest “teen” porn. “Teen” = clearly trafficked and underage. He claims he quit because he realized on his own it was wrong. Wonder if I should believe him? 🤔

Parler was taken off the internet in a day. That’s when I knew this is intentional. We all know these sites are full of child porn and trafficked women and girls. AWS could stop hosting these sites too. Any. Day. It’s a choice.

I talk with mine about internet porn and send him articles. I’m sure he doesn’t appreciate it, and idgaf. He needs to know if he partakes, he is hurting people. It’s so ubiquitous with phones nowadays I don’t think you can avoid having this conversation (more than once, and from several angles). And again, I don’t care if it makes him uncomfortable. The women in “exploited teen” videos surely are so he can deal with it.

I’d be interested to hear what makes these guys so HV. I was composing a post on this recently re: my ex. I could make an extremely compelling case. But, ultimately, he isn’t. Until you know his search/porn/phone history, these guys aren’t HV, and I don’t care what else they say or do.

This is why I don’t accept violence against women in entertainment or music. Who drives those industries? Men. They want it normalized and I’m not listening.

I’m not interested in watching women be hurt for entertainment. Constantly seeing women harmed in our media is desensitizing and traumatizing.
