I didn’t get this from Bernie Sanders. The top tax bracket paid 94% in 1946 on every dollar they made above 200,000 (or 2.88M in today’s dollars) this is purely on INCOME taxes. First of all, you didn’t do anything so don’t act like your gender somehow makes you a war hero. Second of all, men were fighting to protect the country. Why can’t women want to protect the country too? Why should 50% of the population made decisions for the other 50%? If women decided men couldn’t fight in the war for their own protection I don’t think they’d appreciate that... plus in the First World War men were conscripted. They didn’t have much choice.
