Toxic masculinity does not, point of fact, mean that all forms of masculinity are toxic. It means that some elements of it are. The toxic ones, such as how guys feel the need to police one another over their behavior for "not being man enough", "man up", "stop crying", "men don't show emotion", "real men work dangerous jobs", etc. Generally speaking, many of the emotional issues men face within society are issues relating to how other men try to manipulate masculinity in shitty ways - the idea t…

What about me calling you you "some kind of a queer faggot" for crying or showing any emotion, then getting my friends to bully the fuck out of you for being "some kind of a queer faggot."

I can’t help but wonder how much time you spend on “Triggered Feminists Compilation ##” videos. The difference between me and you is that I was an anti-SJW. Then I grew up. :)

All parts of masculinity are completely 100% positive and good?

“OH MY GAAAAwd.” Jesus you sound triggered as shit. Chill out bruv. Toxic masculinity literally talks about the issues you bring up. The entire point of it is to describe how men suffer under a patriarchy, like the whole “REAL MEN EAT MEAT” movement, or even worse the recent trend of “REAL MEN EST RAW MEAT” movement.

When I want to change something, I change it from that moment forward. I do not say 'well, I have smoked for many years so maybe it's really impossible to change'. I don't let the past hold me back from making current changes. People who want to cling to the past and avoid just treating people equally from this moment forward are really the problem. I understand you believe you made a choice, but my opinion is that, in reality, you did not. The cons of continuing smoking outweighed the pros, and…

The summation of my opinion is: • People are inherently shaped by their environments, leading to predictability in decision making, which is backed up by leading statistics on how certain classes of people react to certain situations. People do not have agency, but rather, we have brains that let us believe we have it. • History does not resolve itself within a few generations: i.e. racism on black people in America has had dramatic effects on how their culture has been shaped, and has limited t…

I think the problem is that feminists should not be discounted just for being a feminist. I think it's possible to be both a feminist and an MRA.

You posed a question to everyone in this thread. I came by and answered it with my personal philosophy. You chose, instead of asking me questions about what I believed, to come to the assumption that I'm all about white guilt (which I'm not). Instead of making assumptions about you, I chose to ask what you believe and why you believe it, in an honest attempt to be charitable to your argument and let you present it in the best way possible. By refusing to answer, you've closed off any further dis…

Do you believe that people are shaped by their environments? (I'm only asking questions to determine where you stand on topics, to see where we agree and/or disagree and then better pose my personal arguments/beliefs.)

Being mindful doesn't mean allowing yourself to be walked over. It's about showing empathy, so that maybe we can cooperate.
/r/MensRights24/05/17 06:58 PM

The point is equality, and to be mindful of the painful history of suffering women had to go endure for literally centuries. Women's suffrage and equality is a recent phenomenon, so of course they're going to fight tooth and nail to keep it, as they should. Ideally, we'd all just join hands and talk reasonably about what each other need. But that's just not American culture.

This is not how data works. You can't just cherry pick results, plaster them together, and say: "See? This is now fact."

Alright, lets take this one step at a time.. Uh no, we don't have to "suppose" things are true, when we already know they are true. "Knowing" something as true is a very dangerous statement to make. Religious people 'know' they are right, skeptics allow for doubt. What do you consider yourself to be? Not. Even. Once. European and American civilizations were founded by Europeans, for Europeans. But you think "everyone" has a claim to our lands? Lol That's rich... I didn't say land. My inference i…

The reason why is that feminism has much more verifiability than the men's right movement. It's a recent movement that many people are trying to quash, ignore, and/or paint in a bad light - and Wikipedia tends to go only by verifiable/reliable sources. Unfortunately, those sources are biased against men's rights.

This is one of the most incongruent rants I've seen in quite a while. Your straw man attacks and extreme hyperbole are impressively bad. If I find the time maybe I'll respond to it.

Except the majority of people who share your disposition also share a number of other incongruous views reminiscent of nazism. Also, if the point is to "just research for research's sake", then again, I have to repeat: Why? It seems to me the only byproduct is that you make a bunch of people feel very afraid for their livelihood, as you slowly try to paint hem as less than human.

Actually, this is the view of the extreme left that you want to paint the entire left with. The actual main-stream left thinks affirmative action is okay and that we could do more to help the impoverished to lift them out of poverty. Whew, lads.

You're kidding, right? Every time a disaster happens in a predominantly white country, do you think it's only white countries that send their support? It may surprise you to learn that's not the case. Not even remotely. It must scare the shit out of you that Hispanic people make up 16% of the population of America. By 2060, it could be as much as 31%!!! So spooky!
/r/PussyPass03/03/17 04:14 AM

You blame the "black/hispanic condition" on genetics, and discount the many other valid, well-researched theories on the topic. You need to validate this idea of yours, so you'll attach yourself to anything that even remotely suggests it, then believe it's bullet-proof evidence. If what you say is true, then there should be nowhere near as many low-income white people, if we're just so damn smart and superior. But no, instead, the opposite is true; as it turns out, the environment we grow up in …

This is why I cannot stand talking to or debating alt-righters, and why I think they all need to be taken into remedial class and given a crash course in statistics and data gathering. You cannot cherry pick everything you want from multiple sources and say, "See this? This is clearly how it is." You're skewing the facts, and probably ignoring statements made in the scientific journals these graphs came from. (Because guess what, most of them probably point to socioeconomic factors. Key in on th…

Listen, I'm going to level with you here - I can't even begin to unpack this giant mess of an answer you're trying to give me. It's a ludicrous hodgepodge meant to try and bowl me over. You created your own narrative, set aside massive, entire swathes of arguments based on numbers you've concocted (without sources, no less), and concoct reasons to ignore thousands of points of physical evidence backed by a huge number of reliable testimony, from Jews and Nazis and liberators and forensic science…

Typical alt-righter. Focusing on one thing where he may have the smallest leg to stand on and ignoring everything else. Listen, you ended this earlier. I'm done as well. Except this is not a proven theory; the only thing I can be willing to admit is that there is perhaps, maybe, very minor variations amongst the different races of earth, most (if not all) of which can be overcome through proper child rearing and education.

The cherry picking is reaching astounding levels. Regarding Stefan Molyneux: Stefan Molyneux is a serial liar and a fast-talking pundit that enjoys bowling over his opponents with bad data. The day I listen to his junk and believe it has any merit is the day I probably commit suicide. Regarding the CBSNews article: I have a couple of problems with this study, or at least the reporting of it: • DNA methylation: What % is biological by inheritance vs. modified by environment? 99/1? 95/5? 90/10? • …

And yet, I can show you photos of our president waving the LGBT-flag and showing support for the gay-community. And vice-versa. Oh, you mean when he was handed a flag from the crowd and he looked really uncomfortable holding it for all of five seconds? Or how the token gay person in the alt-right/Trump movement is a self-hating one who also admits to doing it purely because he can? Photos mean dick and squat compared to actions, and considering one of his actions was to remove transgender rights…

Well, I'd say it sounds like it's because you're possibly paranoid, delusional and consider yourself "skeezy as fuck". And, in case you haven't noticed, Semites are the greatest threat to a homo's existence. (Semites = Jews and Arabs) Not right-wingers. You can't just say things that have no basis in reality, and this fucking happens every single goddamn time I listen or talk to an alt-retard. Right-wing politics are the ones trying to take away my rights as a gay man, not "the jews!". Weird... …

You're the ones talking about "genetic history" as though that means something. The skin on my body is only the colour it is because of how much or how little melanin I have in my skincells, and a few other minor factors. That's fucking it. We don't exist in mother-fucking Assassin's Creed sci-fi where our DNA somehow contains the history of everyone prior to it.

My culture is the people I grew up with and around. What the fuck even is "genetic history"? It's a fucking skin pigment. There is no way in the nine hells you can convince me that my whiteness carries a rich fucking history in it, unless you're going to get fucking religious with me. In which case, don't goddamn bother.

Well you see. This all depends on your willingness to accept expert testimony and research, thousands of eye witness accounts, population extrapolation, and more.. I mean it's a stretch, I know, all that evidence..

Further proving your argument. You can't just say "Everything wrong about Christianity is because of Jews 4000 years ago". We're talking about Christians, NOW. In modern day. Who still use and adhere to both testaments. Even the imaginary Jesus says that the Old Testaments are still the word of god. Goddamn, the alt right so far has been less than disappointing. Thinner skin than a bunch of SJWs.

Yeah, except you're fucking wrong. Why do I feel skeezy as fuck walking down the poor neighbourhood of my 99% white city? Why do I fear someone thinking I'm gay and opting to get in my face or knock me out for it? The people of colour that do show up in my province, though? To the one, they always tell me that this place (Newfoundland) feels like home to them, and that they've never felt more comfortable. You should see what the bible says about your daughters who have sex out of wedlock, or wearing two kinds of fibres sewn into the same shirt, or.. Oh, what's this? Deuteronomy 17? What's this about stoning nonbelievers to death? Hmmn. Funny, that.

That's not how this works. You don't ignore every other historical scholar just because one scholar kind of sort of follows your narrative. There is so much forcing and projection you are doing that it hurts, like, physically.

OH BOY. WE BETTER ENSURE AFRICAN PEOPLE ALWAYS LIVE IN SQUALID CONDITIONS SO THEY'LL REMAIN A TOURIST TRAP FOR WHITE GUYS. No, really. What the fuck is even the point and end goal of "race realism"? Let's suppose it's a factual, correct theory - why? Why does it even matter? They're still fucking humans, and just because they're different by a matter of degrees means you can.. Call them apes? Treat them less than you? Try to win "your race" over to just throw them out and send them back to Africa/Mexico/Iran/Israel/wherever? That is inhumanly cruel and infeasable.
