It’s wild you say that because I recently was feeling a lot of the same shame and hate for the same reasons but saw an old picture and realized just how far I had actually come in the past 10 months or so. 2	How do you deal with issues with food and body image? I hear you man. Pulling yourself out of a hole like that isn’t easy at all but you are doing great honestly. I will say that it’s totally okay to be upset and feel like you aren’t where you want to be with your body but don’t beat yourself up too much. You just want better for yourself and staying in that negative space won’t help you move forward and get better. 1	How do you deal with issues with food and body image? For me the biggest things that have helped my body image issues are lifting weights and changing how I think about food. I think of food as fuel for lifting and getting stronger and healthier in general. I want to be a healthy fit guy and keeping that in mind helps when I feel like I’m too small because I’m not muscular enough or I’m too big if I’m putting on fat when bulking. 2	Why are so many MRAs anti-feminist? I think your analogy is inaccurate. It would be more accurate to say it’s like liberals and the alt right. The principles and history of that group aren’t something to be salvaged. Extreme groups, whether it is something you like or not, will never work for the society that people who want equal rights are after. 3	Why are so many MRAs anti-feminist? Essentially a lot of people in the subreddit (and for good reason) think that feminism and male liberation are mutually exclusive. I understand what you are trying to get across, but feminism is flawed and there really is no point trying to defend it when you can just say you support women and men’s rights. 1	Is the wage gap real? My bad I talked about it in another comment on this thread. It’s more nuanced than here is x job and women take these types of jobs because society says so. For example men aren’t encouraged to be relationship and sex therapist because society views men as perverts and sex crazed (of course as an absolute generalization is bs). 1	Is the wage gap real? I’ll leave it at this: the gender pay gap will always exist to some minute extent because men and women gravitate towards different types of work for non-pressured reasons, which is fine. Absolute equality isn’t always the best or most just policy. -1	Is the wage gap real? I won’t pretend to be super well versed in gender wage gap studies so I don’t have peer-reviewed studies or anything up my sleeve. 3	Is the wage gap real? Sure. But i think the gender wage gap is theoretically the gap that exist when you do control for those sorts of things. So if all of those factor are getting taken into account and a gap persists, then the next logical step is asking why that is. If for some unexplainable reason, women tend toward lower-level work, then okay the gender wage gap isn’t real in any meaningful way, because it’s just people of a certain gender gravitating towards certain fields and jobs. 4	Is the wage gap real? I totally agree there. We certainly need diversity in jobs and in incomes for a good economy. What I’m getting at is that if women had more security in those high-paying, high-risk jobs (eg maternity leave, childcare options, etc) then the wage gap probably wouldn’t be an issue. That certainly doesn’t mean that men don’t deserve paternity leave and all of that good stuff.
