This thread is about the wage gap, a statistical salary analysis across all full-time, year-round workers. It shows women are paid less. That’s it. Simple. There will always be particular cases of men or women paid less or having worst conditions than the other gender. But the wage gap is a global calculation, overall analysis.
I stated the same thing multiple times now. Women and men are different and will have different choices or careers. We can argue on the source of those differences, but I maintain that we shouldn’t blame women for their career choices, we should question the fact that traditionally women occupied fields are undervalued compare to male fields.

Compare hourly rate if you want. And the teacher vs engineer is just an example. All I am saying is that the question should be reversed. It’s not about why women take less paying jobs. It’s about why society undervalues jobs mostly occupied by women. Men and women are different and will continue to have different interests. We can’t blame women for selecting underpaid jobs or justifying underpaying them by saying it’s a calling for them.
Forgetting about all the misogyny here for a bit, the question should be reversed. Why does our societies values less traditional females job vs male job? Why are teachers paid less than engineers?
