Just to summarize, I call out this post for being obvious satire that most users here did not identify, someone posted a piece on what steps can help get the first female president, you stated that the reason there hasn't been a female president is multifactorial, I stated that those factors are what feminism attempts to address. Let me know what I missed.

Sorry where did I suggest changing a law?

Wow I had no idea that there were multiple factors holding women back from power, if only feminists addressed that rather than making fake Twitter polls lol. What if someone even wrote a paper addressing some ways to reduce that barrier.

Imagine women thinking the top elected position in their country should come from half the population. Wild. Also again, nuance is being able to tell the difference between “need (legally)” and “need (to address the root cause)”. You can tell it’s the second because all the solutions they present are more about increasing access and not about changing any laws.

Completely agree. The probability of the best person for the job being a man for 231 consecutive years is pretty low. Which is why it's important to address the root cause (as the paper wanted to do) rather than forcing the next president to be a woman (this clearly satire Tweet).

Yeah it's clearly not a viewpoint held by an appreciable number of feminists and linking to an article saying that a woman should break the streak of 45 straight male presidents is so different that it's not really a useful comparison. Unless you think there's something absurd about the latter viewpoint.

Only here will "one of the 46 presidents should come from half of the population" be an unpopular opinion lol

Nuance can be hard so let me know if this seems crazy. Having the belief that the next president should legally be required to be a woman is different than saying a female president would have a different perspective than the previous 45.

Shoot, that's the CEO of Feminism. I didn't realize Legion of Doom said it.

All I'm saying is that your narrative is built upon false premises lol

Oh it’s actually pretty easy to identify. See how there’s a name on the Tweet? If you search that in Google and Twitter you’ll see nothing pops up. That’s my neat trick for quickly identifying if something is not real. Hope that helps.

Progress? Progress to using something other than fake screenshots

I would hate to accuse such a high quality sub of using a clearly (defined as having to do 5 seconds of Twitter searching) fake screenshot to fit their sexist narratives.

That account is so real and influential. I can’t find it, but that is definitely a true belief of actual feminists and not a troll.

Good thing t_d and men’s rights are such open platforms for discussion... And yes I think it is fair to say “your wide painting of feminism being about getting free rent sounds narrow minded. Do you only see views on these 2 subs” especially when you are or have been active in both.

I see it in your post history? It is from a year ago, but you’ve posted 26 comments in men’s rights in the past 100 days kinda supporting that your view of feminism is pretty skewed.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
