2	Apologies if it’s a stupid basic question but, what should I read and/or do to have ‘something’ to talk about and be able to relate via face-to-face communication? As a girl: talk about your passion, girls love nothing more than the sparkles in your eyes when you talk about something you love, ask open questions (what did you do in vacation? Not : was vacation fun?) It keeps the conversation flowing. I know this is generic but be yourself, don't try to adjust yourself to the type of guy you think she likes, it comes off as dumb.
