My grandpa survived two wars, ate whatever the fuck he wanted, he loved bacon and red meat and cheese, he was in his shed working with paints and car parts all the time when he retired, worked with asbestos, and he smoked for 20 years. And he died aged 89. All this extra information becoming available is good but I also feel like it shouldn't control your entire life...
