Oh, right. Because /r/MensRights totally got its reddit-wide reputation for honest, fair and non-sexist comments. Give me a break. So many of the things said here are terrible. In fact, anyone who actually claims to be an MRA is essentially a delusional misogynist. Feminism and Men's Rights both have their individual problems, but denying things like rape culture, the wage gap, pink collared ghettos, male privilege despite thousands of years of evidence otherwise is so fucked up that it is hard …

Now I know why you guys all hate feminism: not understanding what certain statements are directed at and taking literally everything out of context. Homelessness is class politics and discrimination against people with mental illnesses more than "Men's Rights" issues. I was specifically commenting on why the prison system contains more men than women; I was commenting on why men commit more crimes than women. But go on having your rage blackout until you actually have an aneurysm, that would be …

I am unemployed, sweetie pie, and trust me, you are not some special snowflake for understanding how poverty, class politics and racism affect crime. I am pretty sure it is something you learn in sociology 101... in highschool.

It is hilarious how you guys resort to "society expects us to be this way! damn feminists!" but when I practically agree with this point, I am told to "keep on trying". Especially when I am not talking about your own personality, but what society constantly expects out of men.

It is not telling. Nobody is telling you to commit crimes - but look at media, advertising, music. For generations, decades, centuries society has been trying to force men into this cookie-cutter view of masculinity and they are ridiculed if they do not. Are you really telling me that having an expectation held over your head wouldn't make you snap? Especially if you were pressured by friends and family to be a certain way (read: a lot of religions and certain cultural expectations). This isn't …

Wow, I'm a pretty active feminist and I have never seen anyone talk like that before. I think hyper-masculine views of men are incredibly hurtful to young men and boys, just as forced-maternal and docile-like expectations are hurtful to young women and girls. Like, every feminist I know agrees with that statement. Not all of us are fucking morons. Actually, in all my years of identifying as a feminist, I don't think I've ever seen anyone even bring up something as ridiculous as this. Who the fuc…

Um, what feminists do you know exactly? I'm pretty sure "90%" of prison inmates are male because society, for an incredibly long time and even now, influenced men to respond a certain way (the whole hyper-masculine view of how men should react to situations). Men were influenced to be testosterone-fueled apes who react physically to everything or they are socially rejected. Guy disses you at a bar? Bar fight! Lose a job? Sell drugs! Women reject you your entire life? Rape one! Many criminals wat…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
