I think specifically 'alpha' and 'beta' are incredibly reductionist, (also not true) and even if the author is intending to code-switch to reach a more general audience, the rhetoric is based in bad philosophy, or rather, ideology.

I mean, I work a fair job, and I don't really want anything more. I'm content in childcare, but the gym is too taxing on my wallet, and on my ... self esteem and my attention span. Actually I've found working out while High to be WAY easier. Those immediate happy chemicals from weed and the normal happy chemicals from a workout.
