Yeah, she made herself out to be the cool mom who could talk about this stuff, but she really wasn’t that cool after all. :)

I hear you. My first time was pretty much painless, and my mother told me I must be “so loose” down there. She said your first time is supposed to be incredibly painful. Unless you’re loose, I suppose. Shitty lovers thrive off ignorance. They get to finish every time, so why should they care?

Thank you! I am lucky that I found an insightful and awesome partner after... 30 years of life or so, lol. I can’t share him but I can share the knowledge!

I’ve been with a few. Don’t know if I can spot an expert in the wild, but current partner is brilliant in bed and the others, not so. I have thought about this a bit before because I “just knew” he would be good, but didn’t know how to put my finger on it, so I’ll try. Buildup, anticipation, and non-verbal checking for consent If I can see it coming, I can react. When he moved in for a kiss the first time, he moved slowly, giving me a chance to move away if I wanted to. Same with touching, and a…

I am in my 30s, and as I said, my observation was of the men that I have personally been in contact with sexually. I do not know of the porn consumption of my overall peers; I simply said that the men I have been in relationships with who continued watching porn very regularly were more violent and pushy in bed. And the ones that lowered their consumption of porn as they got older were less so. I’m not sure why this seems to be bordering on an argument, but maybe I’m misreading the hostility in …

I should rephrase: they didn’t quite escape it, but I think the majority of the porn the 30s people grew up with was less violent and “out there” than the porn now. At least, the mainstream stuff. When I was in my teens and early twenties, anal wasn’t in every other video. You had to specifically look for it as a genre. Now it’s pretty much the norm. A couple of my partners had no interest in anal whatever, despite enjoying the “harder” side of certain sexual acts. Those were generally the guys …

I don't know what sort of material my partner has consumed, but as far as I know he doesn't watch it now. Previous partners have all been really aggressive in bed so that's what I was used to. Certain things they enjoyed (a lot more roughly too) were uncomfortable for him. We stopped those acts. They weren't all that good for me either, but I just thought they were normal and expected. He's in his 30s, so I think he kinda escaped the super-aggressive, humiliating porn that you'd currently find. …

The best revenge is a life well lived. Congratulations. And good on you for not listening to anyone telling you to text him back with some snarky shit. Whoo are these people learning from? SMH.

You know it takes some fucking audacity to mention that he hit on her and that he’s only calling the cops now that she turned him down. How do you not even realise how much of an asshole you are? How do you go on AITA and expect ANYONE to not tell you that you’re a sickening lowlife?

This, OP. Get out before you’re emotionally bled dry.

I’m in my early thirties and have made several guy friends over the years. The ones whom I have stuck close with are genuine, as far as I can tell. One used to have feelings for me, but I said no and our friendship didn’t suffer at all. These are friendships over ten years or so, no hitting on me, nothing of that sort. They know they’re not my type. They’ve made great wingmen. But they are rare.

There are two reasons why I don’t want to bother with petty revenge. I have better things to do with my time and energy than spend it on a jackass. Men can be dangerous. Men like this often don’t take well to even polite rejection. What happens when he actually shows up at her place and realizes he’s been played for a fool? What happens when he wants revenge?

No. Don’t invite trouble. Trying to “play him for a fool” means more time and energy spent on ridiculing him. Move on.

Exactly. Asking for your body count in the first place is a red flag. Do not entertain a man who’s caught up in how few or how many people you’ve slept with.

I have a friend with really toxic ideas of what love and a relationship should be. I’ve learnt to step away and keep a distance because I can’t handle hearing about this and that guy who shat on her after she did everything she shouldn’t have done. She’s convinced she’s perfectly fine, and doesn’t need help. So I don’t offer help. We can still be friendly at a surface level, but I don’t need to hear about her drama.

Actually, the sad thing about all this is that RP women don’t even want to date RP men. I read in one of their threads long ago that the ideal “Captain” is a bluepilled man who is respectful, provides for the family and isn’t a plate-spinning asshole. Their strategy is to be nice and sweet to RP men just so that the actual desirable men will notice them. Nobody actually wants RP men, not even RP women.

In my experience, the best way is not to even explore the subject of sex. Don’t talk about when it’s going to happen, and what conditions you have before you would do it. All that does is give the guy a target to work towards, all because he wants sex. You don’t want someone who goes, okay let’s get into a committed relationship! Now, where’s my sex? Don’t go back to his place. Don’t hang out anywhere where sex can happen. If he asks you to hang out at his place, or to come to yours, politely re…

Thank you, sister. I’m much better now and living my best life with a partner who’s nice to wait staff, and also to me. :D

Definitely do this, but remember that this tip has been repeated through the ages and many men are aware of it. My ex was nice to wait staff. He was nice to everyone, including cab drivers and cleaning staff. He was also really nice to his employees. Hardly anyone believed me about him being a monster behind closed doors because he had kept up the facade for ages. Looking back, he wasn’t just nice to them. He was the kind of person who got free stuff and discounts from places he went to, because…

Speaking as a (kinda) poor single mom, you wouldn’t believe how salty men—and even some women—are, when you do better. I escaped an abusive marriage to a deadbeat asshole. I was doing all the parenting and working to provide for our son while he sat on his ass and refused to be involved in any way. I took my son and left after quietly getting my ducks in a row for two years. A year later I met a wonderful man and I was smitten immediately. He’s intelligent, kind, loving, and just the best partne…
