Another variant of AWALT is 'the few "high quality" women who are not culpable of toxic behaviour (cheating, hypergamy, etc) and appreciate stable relationships, are sucked out of the dating market very early on by 'alpha providers'. "Ackchyually", the eastern orthodox church (as seen in the Balkans, Russia, Ukraine etc) which is technically the oldest (or second oldest) branch of the church does let its lowest rank priests get married.
