I think she has good intentions. She's most likely trying to make sure her boyfriend's friends feel comfortable in their home and she's putting effort into being nice and accommodating to them. It's perfectly normal and the polite thing to do in my opinion. It's possible she wasn't thrilled to have them over while he was sleeping but didn't say anything just to be nice. Nobody wants to be the bitch who kicked her man's friends out of the house. Try to remind yourself that she's not trying to tak…

I don't shut him down or think anything he wants is creepy. I love and accept my husband exactly as he is. I have never given him a hard no on anything he's wanted, in fact I'm open to trying whatever he wants. I realize my post might have given the wrong impression but I clarified in some of my comments. I'm happy to let him push my boundaries, I actually enjoy it and feel very connected with him when we're working on my limits. But I do need to work my way up to some things and I can't do ever…

I'm open to weed, I actually mentioned I use it to make anal sex more comfortable in a reply to someone else. I would be hesitant to use it every time because I don't want to become dependent. Normal sex, rough sex, and mild to moderate (?) BDSM, are all fine and I don't think I need it in those situations. I might talk to him about using it more often when we're working on my limits, though. I'm just really nervous about becoming a pothead or building a tolerance. I'll see what he thinks about …

But you are upset enough to be posting online about it, so yeah, try being entirely open and honest and see where that gets you. My gut reaction to all of your responses is that he's the only one that can really give you the answers and comfort you are looking for. Good point. I agree, only he can really help me with this. I was wondering (just in general) if it's possible to still be submissive while having boundaries too. But as far as my personal situation goes I should talk to him. I'm not i…

I do not see a therapist but I will consider it. I'm starting to really worry about this and feeling like a failure as a wife, despite him not having any complaints (as far as I know). I'm sure he would prefer if I could go along with whatever he wanted right away but I don't think he's deeply bothered by having to help me, either. Thank you.

The submission that Whisper's post talks about isn't confined to the bedroom. A woman can show submission to her man without ever involving a riding crop ;-) . This is following his lead and showing him vulnerability. I'm submissive in general in our relationship, I think that's why I have such a hard time with my limits involving sex. It feels wrong to me. I don't question his judgment and have no problem deferring to him in every other area but for whatever reason I can't give him complete con…

I'm just confused now about what you're wanting to know. By you posting this thread at all would indicate you're hesitant about something, but your responses don't seem to paint that as the case. I'm sorry about that. I was up all night (unrelated issue) and I could have done a better job writing my post. I feel like it's wrong on some level to have limits. Like I'm not being submissive enough or I'm doing it wrong because I have boundaries. In the post about being submissive she wrote it's best…

It is a sign of self awareness that you are able to categorize them. Thank you. I agree, it's important to know your limits and understand them. How is that controlling? I call it a good compromise. I guess I feel guilty that he has to compromise at all. I feel like having boundaries might not be the best thing when it comes to being submissive to a man but I don't know how to get past my limits without working on them slowly.

I always do what he wants but it takes time for me to get used to and eventually enjoy certain things. For the first year and a half of our relationship we had mostly "vanilla" sex because I was in pain a lot. There were a few times I had issues with tearing and needed antibiotics and couldn't have sex for up to two weeks to give you an idea. I ended up seeing a physical therapist who specialized in treating women with sexual pain. It was embarrassing and difficult at first but ultimately helped…

But you can bridge that conflict, here's how. Your desire for sex (or to go wild sexually) may be absent today, most days or always. However, your desire for him can be a steady thing. Your desire for him can permeate your entire being, even your sexual organs. They can become physically aroused because you desire him and he desires sex with you (or wild sex with you). If you internalize this mindset, you'll never acquiesce to sex ever again, you'll engage with extra enthusiasm because you desir…

Thank you for taking the time to write this out for me. I agree with you completely. I'm okay with pushing my limits. I kind of like it, honestly. I feel closer to him when we do that and more so when I can finally do whatever it is he wants completely (without having to work up to it). This is where I 'go' mentally to get into it and enjoy it. I've found that really peaceful subspace because of this and I can get there more easily (and more frequently) now. I used to get really overwhelmed by h…

I'm sorry about being vague, I gave more details in my reply to another comment. I wasn't sure how graphic I should be in my post. My hard limits are things I have only read about (on reddit mostly). Like stuff involving urination, cutting, femdom, and other things I believe most people would consider pretty extreme. He has no interest in that stuff. My soft limits have included things like anal, rough sex, BDSM. Anal was really painful at first but we worked on it and have gotten to a point whe…

I'm willing to do whatever he wants sexually. I've never given a hard no regarding anything he's wanted to try but I can't always go all the way with certain things immediately (trying to avoid being too graphic here). This is what I meant by "soft limits." I'm open to letting him push my boundaries and he has, to the point where we can do things now that we had to work our way up to in the past. My pain tolerance has increased, for example. When he first introduced anal sex it HURT (really, rea…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
