I'm no way advanced yet. But I am Filipino and do share these troubles. First thing. That opener you used is too strong/direct. Don't get me wrong, you can use that but not on cold approaches, especially not on pinays. Don't ask the boyfriend thing, you'll just end up cockblocking yourself. A better approach that I use is an observational approach. Like, I see her nails, and there's nail art in it, I ask her about it. It makes them less guarded that way. Hey thanks for this, now that I think about it, the ones where I chickened out were annoying me more versus the ones where I approached and nothing happened. I hope I can make this idea stick.

Had something similar happened yesterday as well. It keeps popping in my head today. I hate being this weak willed. I mean I know I just need to say hi and that's enough but nooo, it has to be the perfect line... My inner game really needs to catch up, damnit...

I'm actually on the same boat and I have been thinking this might be the case with me as well. As I'm just not getting results. I got the looks down because women do stare at me now more than ever. I get more compliments and are quick to have small chat with me. But the ones I approach (have my eyes on) have no interest in me, some I get the feeling have their guards on. It's getting really frustrating to be honest.

I have no way to properly say in my language, "I thought you were beautiful and just wanted to say hi!" or something along this style of simple approach. It comes off too strong if I say it in my language. I'm still a beginner and my one and only approach just so happen that she had trouble with something so I got to talk to her somehow.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
