rationalize away male services to them as being the same as going drinking with the guys, when really it is done for her and the family. The entire thread seems to use a very narrow definition of parenting to frame things as desired. The bar isn't in hell, its in a totally different place, but its still there. If the bar was truly in hell women wouldn't be initiating the majority of divorces. The phases "totally a single mother"/"why are you still with him" are contradictory because overwhelming…

I'm not shallow and I cant believe that I'm in my 30s just realizing how shallow the world really is there's only one guy i want A guy you met on an international dating site who flew you to him only to reject you because he dates models. You described him as average! /boggle.

Its a hilarious topic. Many if not most men have standards so low women find it repulsive. Their real complaint is about the standards of attractive men, aka men with the ability to actually enforce those standards. The link to some men preferring slim women? LOL! I could probably link 6 different subs for women > 400lbs. I heard a comic joke for women, no matter who you are, porn has a category for you.

as some attack on each man here I dont even read many of these posts and I've seen her use "men in this sub" as a monolith multiple times, cherry picking just the types of responses that fit her narrative. Even then its vague and hand wavy, an argument based on vibes that might as well be "trust me bro"

This was hilarious. Its like mythbusters on dating. This shit gets huge kneejerk reactions even though ample studies exist. As much as people complain about tate/redill, those only are only filling the vacuum left by the frequent denial of reality/documented fact. Not only is reality denied, its often done so in a way that insults men. For example they "Men are intimidated by successful women because their fragile ego cant handle their success". The underlying observation that men may not pursue…

a lot of guys really underestimate how much a bad personality negatively affects their social life Personality is so subjective outside of extremes like kicking puppies I'm not even sure its useful to try to put it on a spectrum. Personality is a lot like humor. For example delightful! Needless to say my preference for angry/sarcastic humor? Its not going to mix well for bubbly optimists. As far as conflict goes, what you said is not untrue, but the problem is while conflict will filter out inco…

This feels like a situation that will fix itself. One way or another Its adjusting to the new normal. See marriage/birth rates.

He is every republican since regan without the polite veneer. I dont see how he could be more establishment.

Trump is a rich boy who bought his way into the White House. How is that not "establishment?" Silly question, easily answered. When people who are pro trump say he is anti establishment what do you think they mean by "anti establishment?"

I always ask where I can find this hate You're joking right? I'm nearing 50 and people have been talking constant shit about men as far back as I can remember. Its odd the same timeline that gave us microaggressions is so quick to dismiss anything men will mention in this context. You hyperbolic framing just poisons the well, giving the impression you're not interacting in good faith.

Women gaining visibility into how men think changed the game I honestly dont know what you think changed. I dont think you could say much about men that people haven't been saying on repeat for decades.

They have admitted to choosing to be around >awful insufferable people as long as they are useful. Thats not a gendered thing, its just people. I'm One of the hardest lessons for me was that I was using utility/agreeableness to bribe people into interacting with/tolerating me. Yep, its the niceguy pattern in a totally platonic context. Once I stopped doing it,all those false friendships evaporated. It didn't require any hostility or drama, just for me to to stop leading with utility/being a door…

I don't have it, and that's awful, trust me Its not awful. Having no relationship is much better than having a bad one, or toiling away like its a second job trying to find one. I've not been in a relationship for over two decades, not even a date I'm almost 50 and disabled. Its over for me and I'm ok with that. What I miss about it is much like how people romanticize medieval times. I miss the good parts, but relationships don't work that way. I'll give an example, ever meal and every movie/act…

This strikes me as unhinged, femcel energy. Sex/money is the basis for most relationships. Once you reject that dynamic, you're rejecting relationships.

They cannot tell you anything else they want out of a relationship than sex, even when they say sex is it enough. Nonsense. Sex is just the minimum Men could give plenty of things they would like to get out of a relationship, but that seems rather pointless when the minimum is such a big ask for most men. People like to say all men care about is attractiveness. Thats silly. Men DO care about humor intelligence, kindness etc just like women do, but having such preferences are a luxury. Might as w…

4b is a joke. Its not like women are meeting mr right and standing on principles, women by admission find most guys unattractive so not sleeping with men they were not going to sleep with anyway? not the burn they think it is. I'm all but certain 4b does not include rejecting financial benefits. In other words its just more À la carte feminism. The birth/marriage rates? both were going down long before roe was overturned. Rules are for unattractive guys. I've long noted that women can withdraw a…

4b It was just women making noise about not sleeping with men they were not going to sleep with anyway.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/06/26 09:48 PM

so the man is punished if he asks 50/50 before the date Its not punishment. He learns what kind of woman he is dealing with. If dating is not about mutual interest but is instead a negotiation based on value extraction, what self respecting man would participate? We have words for both sides of such a transaction.

Any trait that can signal wealth cant be taken at face value. Even kindness signal wealth. I'd like to see kindness measured with respect to the capacity for it. Even mythbusters dud an episode on the impact of wealth on attractiveness. Lets do this for some of these traits. How much of an attractiveness bump would pizza delivery driver who volunteers at a soup kitchen every weekend see? A lawyer who does pro bono work for single mothers? The absence of wealth in the list makes it look like a jo…

People lie about preferences and priorities to avoid judgement. I don't even think its worth discussing what people say in this context.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/06/26 02:52 AM

I'd say its about framing. I think its mostly about what people can get away with. People teat others poorly when/because they can. I'd say attractiveness is just one of many privileges that strongly influence this. How easily can someone be replaced? How much poor treatment will they tolerate (and why) IMO this is the source of the "women like guys who treat them like shit" Its backwards. Few people like to be treated poorly. I think people are attracted to others who act in ways they are likel…

Bit of a Loaded question. It depends entirely on how you define feminism. The less barriers to a womans independence the better. This shift if one of the best things to happen to men. Why? The 1950s style financial dependence is a toxic basis for a job pretending to be a relationship. Its something that only appeals to people who want to buy and people who want to sell. The more perverse incentives are removed from relationships the better off everyone is. If a woman wants a platonic roommate to…

You've failed to address my actual argument and instead focused on a very literal definition. Did you read only the first line?
/r/PurplePillDebate13/06/26 11:40 AM

The friend-zone is self inflicted, participation is voluntary. IMO the critical component of the dreaded friend-zone is effort made with ulterior motives. Without effort, all you have is the lack of mutual attraction. Going further its usually the case that a guy claiming to be in the friend-zone only interacts in a very superficial way, through a facade. Its hard to know a person well without deep meaningful, genuine interactions. Everyone who responds to this idea in a context that includes th…
