How so? Women hyper-fixate on height and men hyper-fixate on weight.

Weight is to men what height is to women.

The context of the subreddit tells you all you need to know, but okay. You never even mention that this is a description of your literal husband. Actually idk if he is even your husband lol. Has he put a ring on it? Like are you this dense or just self righteous enough to think you’re the only woman in the world with a decent man? Cause it feels like you’re trying to prove something to someone, and it’s definitely not me.

Well that’s super great for you; but your response doesn’t answer the question at hand. The question is “what are your ideal traits of a partner” in the obvious context of someone who is looking. It was not asking for you describe your partner. Happy for you tho. 👏🏼

This feels way too narrow and picky. Good luck, though.

💯 The night I met my husband, I approached HIM first.

A woman definitely isn’t going to do that and most men who strike up flirtations with women don’t do that either. A simple joke or anecdote goes a lot further than “hey, you’re hot”.

I mean, I like it when people think I’m attractive so as long as you’re not being too forward/aggressive/a pig, women tend to realize it’s not about the book but about our looks. And it’s still not a problem imo.

Do men not realize that striking up a light convo in the spirit of flirtation isn’t the same as street harassment? I think men are overthinking it and villainizing themselves in the process. When I was single I loved when men lightly flirted with me while out and about.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/06/24 10:53 PM

I’m sorry I stopped reading after “a random dick shoved in me” So fucking tired of female sexuality being dismissed and devolved into some sort of vulgar thing.

All I hear is “wahhh, I want to date much younger women because they don’t know how to call me out on my bullshit but I’m afraid I’ll be judged for it by feminists aka women smarter than me”

I did when I was 18 once or twice because I was flattered by the attention. That was the only time. In my early 30s now.

The pandemic left everyone deprived of socialization, not just “young boys” — the issue is that young men turn this problem into everyone else’s problem but their own. And now that vulnerability is being exploited and preyed upon by pickup artist asswipes. Guys, don’t listen to that shit. It’s poison to your mind and soul and most women see right through it. You’re better off reading a self help book and going to the barber.

Actually, therapy would help with a lot of these. I work with my therapist on my shyness, social anxiety and boundaries every time I see them.

I find staying at home with kids all day more gruesome than working at an office all day. I’d definitely help with evening chores.

What are you talking about, exactly?? — “Men getting murdered at multiples the rate of women is a straw man ? Get real” The subject of this entire thread was about women’s issues in particular, and yet here you are making it about men. Yes. It’s a straw man argument. A straw man is a form of argument that has the impression of refuting an argument when actually, the initial subject was never actually addressed, but replaced with another one. This was never about mens issues but you took it there…

This is the definition of a straw man argument. So…Men murder men more frequently and that should cancel out the fact that men kill women a lot? again, sounds like a men’s issue. Men should just stop killing people.

“Probably” How about you do some real research. You’ll learn just how quickly you are wrong.

No one is going to ever accuse you of rape, I promise. You have to engage with women for that to happen.

Implying that most/all women are gold diggers is idiotic. Most men aren’t rich so they don’t even have to worry about potential gold diggers. Generalizing women as gold diggers is like generalizing men as creepy. The few rotten eggs in each instance are discussed far more than the majority of typical relationships that don’t spark debate or interest and don’t involve any gold diggers or creeps.

Women are just smarter, more intuitive, and less likely to put up with being manipulated I guess! “Love bombing is an attempt to influence a person by demonstrations of attention and affection. It can be used in different ways and for either positive or negative purposes. Psychologists have identified love bombing as a possible part of a cycle of abuse and have warned against it.”

This is a stereotype. I don’t know a single woman who married a man for money. My husband makes 40k and my ex made less than that.

No one is saying that. Men are just more likely to reduce a woman down to her body parts.

It’s not a competition, it’s just that so many men in this forum want to play victim when they have probably never experienced it. Men harass and assault women at much higher rates and none of you want to accept it cause to you women = bad.

I get it. You don’t like the results of the study so IT MUST be flawed.

Lol then tell me why men exchanging their wife for a younger woman is a such a trope then? Women AND men both do this but men do it more.

The male users here can’t even get a date so how could they possibly get cheated on? They just assume all women are cheaters when it’s men who are notorious for cheating.

I mean, that’s essentially what I said, just worded differently lol. Idk what you think I am “pretending” to do but okay.

Men are literally caught red handed, actively raping women and still get off with a slap on the wrist. But sure, it’s women who are the heavy sexual predators.

A meta-analysis on honesty (Gerlach et al., 2019), based on 380 experiments that recorded gender differences in lying, indicated that men were 4% more deceptive than women.

You gotta give men more credit. A lot of men want love and a monogamous relationship. I truly don’t care what men who have no bearing on my life do with their wallets or dicks as long as it’s not hurting anyone. Women are more aware of the exploitation that occurs in the sex industry, therefore have stronger opinions against it. It should be legalized and regulated IMO. Most women I know are very sex positive and support sex work as a valid job.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/07/22 03:45 AM

That’s completely false. Study after study shows then men cheat more often then women.

Well, I could imagine women’s dating advice won’t really work for men and vice versa.

This is mostly because men are always dismissing other men who get sexually assaulted, saying that they are “lucky”. The amount of times I see comments about female pedophiles saying something like “Oh man, I wish I had her as my 5th grade teacher!” is insane and troubling. I wish people took male SA more seriously.
