You are no where near the wall at 23! Ditch this loser. I'm certainly not saying you should do whatever you want and that you have all the time in the world but sitting around worrying about some invisible wall definitely won't make you a better partner or increase your chances at finding your man. I'd love to have been married by 25, in fact I said no to a proposal at 24. Then the man I was with in my late 20s was sadly taken from me too soon. But I am sooooo glad I didn't settle for that first…

Boundaries are feminine and having boundaries is feminine. It’s how you express boundaries that could be seen as masculine. This. Express them from a place of confidence but softly.

Absolutely. I recently dated a guy who is religious and waiting until marriage and even he didn't ask me my body count.

Are you Christian, or do you just want to find a Christian guy because you think they'll magically have the qualities you're looking for? If you are Christian, especially in your age bracket, I'm sure there are social events, bible study groups, charity/volunteering opportunities run by churches, etc.

I don't think that's so true. There's a lot of online talk about body count but in real life, I think guys care about, and can pick up on, your attitude/values rather than a specific number. I'd also say that any guy going around with "rules" about what is and isn't acceptable to him with no context is someone to be avoided anyway. I'm 35 and I've only ever been asked about my body count once – and even that was in conversation with a man I was already solidly in a relationship with, and was lit…

13,15, or 16 people Genuinely interested as to how you know its in the 13-16 range but also know it isn't 14.

My stance on this is that I won't do it. No matter how much I trust him, the fact that the photo exists means it could be seen by someone other than him and that's enough for me to not feel comfortable. My body is for his eyes only, in private. I find that a guy's response to this tells me a lot about his character and feelings for me, tbh.

Sounds like you have a great guy and relationship.

I'm intrigued, if you don't mind sharing, how your man views the money he brings into the home. I have seen so many posts/articles by both men and women where the guy clearly sees it as "his" money and the work the woman completes in the home is completely devalued.

I'm gonna jump in here with a lil story. Early 20s me quit my job to move in with a guy who lived 2 hours away. I gave up my apartment. I was going to live with him and look for a job in his area (I was a teacher at the time, so had the summer months to interview). One week before I'm due to move. My stuff is in boxes. The new tenant has signed their lease. I finished at my job the day before. My guy texts me. Bet you can guess what it said.

Personally, I wouldn't give up my job or financial independence without a wedding ring on my finger, or move in without at least an engagement ring.

You're right to bring it up though, in that stream of Judaism, what you say is correct.

You're right, they are broadly the synonyms but in my industry and location, 'freelance' has different connotations regarding the dynamic between me and the client. I wouldn't care if a guy referred to me as freelance but it's not a word I wish to label myself with. I like your example of wording it succinctly.

I'm modern Orthodox, you seem to be referring to Hassidic or Yeshivish Jews. The men in my world are mostly in the professions (medical, law, finance, engineering, business) and don't prioritise Torah study over income, unless their profession is the Rabbinate. Most women are also professionals, have high career expectations and continue to work after having children, though they may have a sprinkling of more female centric positions like teacher or therapist in addition to lawyer and doctor. Th…

Asking as someone who is religious, how do you define "thinking of becoming religious"? Where's the scam coming in? Are you thinking of pretending to be religious to try and negate a high body count? Or is religion and faith something that has genuinely come into your life?

Oh whoops. My comment stills stands, it's good to hear from the wise women on here... and the men too!

Thanks. I didn't have a parent at home growing up, so it's an absolute must for me that I will be able to do that for my own kids! At the same time, in today's economy and especially in the big cities where Jewish communities exist, I can't necessarily expect every man to be able to solely bank roll that lifestyle either.

You mention you want children, so be sure to tell stories that demonstrate what a good mom you would make. How you enjoy spending time with relative children you have. And that, while you enjoyed time with the children you were teaching, the system itself is not setup to encourage teachers actually staying in the career for long. Crazy low pay, wild undisciplined children, helicopter parents, whatever. Men get it. You had to make a hard choice for your own health and your own future family. Men …

What are the responses you get from men like now? I don't have much data to go on here tbh, I only started dating a few months ago. It's just something on my mind that maybe could be read as a 'flag'. Maybe use "freelance" or "self-employed" more than "I run my own business." I'm not freelance (and dislike the connotations of that term) but self-employed is much better! "Boss bitch" is a vibe you want to avoid, not necessarily a career path. Talk about how you love the low-stress of your wor…

I work full time currently and my roommate and I have a housekeeper once every two weeks for 3 hours in our 2 bed apartment. I have higher standards of cleanliness than her so it saves any arguments between us about the house work. It is me who keeps on top of things between the housekeeper visits but it means I'm not the only person cleaning at least. Plus, most importantly, it means that I can spend more time on self care or self improvement when I'm not working.

With regard to your skin, allergies or intolerance could be a root cause. A friend of mine has been veggie for years but went vegan recently. Since not eating dairy, her previously problem skin had transformed. It could be possibly be something similar for you. If you aren't already I'd recommend formulating a quality skincare routine, including a good moisturiser and SPF. I switched from cheap drugstore products to Clinique (the ladies at the Clinique counter matched the correct products to me …

I can't add much that others haven't but wanted to comment to say that your post mirrors a lot of my experiences exactly, I grew up in the UK and I find attitudes toward drink, modesty, sex to be exactly as you've described.
