No that you make a sweeping generalization about a group of people based on the actions of a few bad apples. Change police to Muslim, black, Hispanic or any other group and see how it goes. Pathetic.

We all have personal bias. I’m just transparent with mine. I also like to think that I’m rational and as objective as possible in my thinking. I don’t think that loss of license is a rational penalty nor prison time unless there is violence or other abuse. I belief that taking other rights that punish the lack of support while giving them the ability yo make good on it. They need to drive to get to work to pay support. They can get hit with a conditional house arrest felony that restricts voting…

Then why are you arguing with me? My position is that deadbeat dads need to face stricter penalties than just wage garnish if they refuse to take care of their kids. My perspective - I a boy whose father took off when I was one and a half and watched my mother break her back to put food on the table and give me an education.

Why should he be a felon? Has he abandoned a child or children? What does a disability have to do with anything in the scope of this discussion?

You like fathers that abandon their children? Is that the stand that you are taking here?

Felons lose multiple rights once they have been convicted. It’s a risk that you take when you commit a felony and get caught.

Felons aren’t allowed to vote. Think more along those lines.

Voting rights are taken from felons. Very simple to make not paying for your child’s welfare a felony after setting valid parameters.
