You take it seriously, but won’t engage with someone offering you an opportunity to convince them. I don’t take it that seriously honestly, but this way of thinking, that somehow women are hurting themselves or society by enjoying casual sex is dangerous puritanical nonsense. “The future of the species…” - so self righteous. Must feel amazing to be saving humanity.

Ah I see, I actually said nothing about how successful I find women who enjoy casual sex, which is why I was confused. For the record, I’m sure it is a lot less difficult for women to find casual sex in 2025 than it is for men. I think women can decide for themselves what success looks like.

I didn’t watch every video linked, I watched a couple of five minute ones, so I didn’t hear any studies referenced. I’m happy to give my opinion on your favourite study if you can link me to a time code in the video referencing it. Plenty of things have value, but if we’re trying to understand the world and society I’d like strong impartial evidence. I call it pseudoscience because I heard a lot of strong claims that sound like they’ve been researched, but which do not appear to have any evidenc…

“Men’s stupid brains are fairer than women’s” - really? Are you sure they aren’t just more desperate? So many of these links feel like pseudoscientific crap. This probably appeals to you because the YouTube algorithm is hacking your stupid brain too. The algorithm knows you want videos that give you an excuse to blame women for your own lack of success.

Yeah I get it, you’re not talking three years down the road or even three weeks down the road. You’re talking about dating transgressions like ew they laugh like that? or whatever. You’re right, it’s all back to the power imbalance. I’m so lucky I did all my dating before Tinder was invented.

If you’re not happy today, don’t stay because someone might be a different person tomorrow. I’ve been giving that advice for 20 years, and I still believe it. It really really shouldn’t be anyone’s job to fix someone, especially since growth is a choice that person makes. The problem is the unbalanced power between men and women. I think most women can afford to be choosy, most men can’t. It’s very hard to make strong equitable relationships work with that foundation.

I don’t think getting rid of dating apps is feasible. People on some level want to use them, and if you ban one they’ll just find a new place to meet each other.

What numbers? Neither you or OP quoted numbers. I guess you’re talking about a different conversation I haven’t read. Most people can’t live on 8% of their salaries, actually most struggle with 100%. Every government wants to boost birth rates because aging demographics are bad. Why not blame Japan’s immigration policies if you care so much about their aging population? Suicides are higher in Japan, but they’ve fallen since 2012. You can’t tie this to whatever the latest doomer fantasy is, it’s been a studied cultural phenomenon for decades.

Think how often people are able to raise money on GoFundMe for medical treatment in the USA, it’s a whole industry created for charity. If you want a global example, the olympics is on right now. It’s so easy to be cynical in this miserable world, but the olympics only works because everyone works together to make it happen

You’ll see it every day if you take time to look! But my point is we don’t have to accept everything nature throws at us, we don’t when it comes to diabetes for example. We’re smart and creative and even societal problems like this can be solved.

Sometimes people change and are no longer compatible. You can’t know this when you’re young and in love. Many people would be pressured into super marriage by their partners or their family or their religion. You’d be setting people up to make themselves miserable. “People should be held accountable for their actions” It sounds like you just want to punish people for failing at relationships. In many divorces it’s not both people’s fault, it’s often neither.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/07/24 01:07 AM
1

I don’t think many people start marriages expecting to get divorced. I think most would choose the no-take-backsies kind and then eventually some would want to divorce anyway. So what do you do then? Say nuh uh you’re stuck this way forever?

The article is from 2013, and the data the was collected between 1971 and 2001, so this isn’t something new. And I’d be careful about drawing conclusions from a survey conducted in one small area of Boston. The difference (9% for all participants, vs 16% for those who know someone who has divorced), could be explained by social groups, e.g. some very religious groups may not believe in marriage, and they’re more likely to have friends and family who also don’t believe in marriage. /r/PurplePillDebate27/06/24 03:27 AM

Women can have sex easily with almost any guy they want. If you want to keep a relationship with a woman (or a man even) you need to be a great partner first. Sure that means being sexually compatible, but it also means being someone dependable and, yes, safe. You’re setting yourself up for needless anxiety with this mindset. You’ll never know for sure, so after every argument or bad mood you’ll be torturing yourself.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/06/24 10:15 PM

Are there women who don’t want sex robots to become a thing? I haven’t seen much backlash.

I think responsive desire is true for men too actually. Just… the bar is lower due to mismatched drives
/r/PurplePillDebate24/05/24 07:04 AM

I say, how could you know. You offer the headbutt comment. Why didn’t you start with the proof if you have it? Let’s assume for the sake of argument you have this one example. Thats one person on the sub. You said 35% of men are pretending to be men. You have made an outrageous claim, and can’t back it up. It’s interesting you have such a need for this point to be true. Does your philosophy feel thin when you find men who disagree with you?
/r/PurplePillDebate08/05/24 10:42 AM

Sweet Jesus your perception is narrow. Resist can mean a lot of things including “stop her”. Not all men are taller than all women. And yes, if someone is a danger to me I’d want the police there, even if I’m the one getting arrested. This is someone’s 2 second comment, maybe made while taking a shit, and you’re trying to see inside their soul and work out which gender they are, to make a point about women masquerading as men on this sub.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/05/24 10:31 PM

I didn’t make the comment. But I think the point is that women should use adult language because they are adults. Personally I don’t care what word people use, but I do care if we start considering every action people take through the lens of dating.

Niceness is the hard one for me. I’m nice. That doesn’t mean I let people take advantage of me, and it doesn’t mean I can’t be assertive. There’s “nice” as in, I’ll be a good partner or friend because I care about you. And then theres “nice guy”, as in, if I do enough nice things sex I am owed sex. Men who lose the most out of modern dating, understandably don’t have a lot of genuine niceness in them.

Hypothetically, if you could replicate every physical sensation, a perfect woman replica, simulating desire, but with an off switch… even then I think some men would be dissatisfied. On some level we’re meant to desire the unobtainable. But I think it would make loneliness a lot easier for men

This is super pedantic l, but I think the term “toxic femininity” is wrong in this context. Male and females can be toxic, and masculinity can be toxic when it encourages men to be violent and domineering, but I don’t know if there’s a toxic female equivalent. Maybe toxic femininity is being too too scared of spiders or something?

I don’t think it’s the same thing. To drive a car the AI needs to make moral choices, split second reaction times. Evolution has trained human minds to instantly see a human vs a human shaped blob. Machines have a lot of advantages, but they’ve got a lot of catching up to do. To have sex with a man the sex bot needs to have a moist hole. Sure there are oceans of difference between that and sex with a real person, but that’s just details. The same human mind in the above example wants to personif…

It’s really not ok to say this. You’re saying ugly men don’t deserve love, companionship and families. I reject this; we’re all human, and without these things life is pretty bleak. We wouldn’t say ugly people don’t deserve healthcare, shelter, and food. You may mean to say that ugly men aren’t entitled to these things, to which I would agree. I don’t have any solutions. But why can’t we at least strive for a world where there is hope for people?

Hey, I’m back, and I promise I’ve read everything in good faith on this post. I see you’re getting a lot of harsh criticism that doesn’t always address your argument. So here are my own thoughts. Suggesting women to look for potential in their partners is arguably good advice. I think most reading this are focusing on the parts where you’re saying “look at my potential”. You invented a whole new type of maths to complain that no one is giving men a chance. This honestly feels like satire, but in case you are sincere, this sounds like a lot of dangerous entitlement thinking. Women are attracted to you or they aren’t. Life doesn’t work in levels like this. You need to find some perspectives offline, maybe get some counselling to talk through this stuff with an expert.

Here’s my reasons why: 1: There are just no easy answers. And there are plenty of empathic men and women out there, who would love to help if there was a way to. 2: In our attention driven culture the toxic stuff rises to the surface, and those voices are the loudest, on both sides of the conversation. 3: Unfortunately loneliness can make men bitter and resentful. The wisdom here is “it’s the only experience I know”. This whole conversation exists because of our limited frame of reference. If we could ever experience both genders then we’d all know the answers. If you’re asking me would I be female the next go around the answer is always going to be yes, but only because I’m curious. Whether I think it’s better or worse doesn’t really enter into it. You can’t solve “which is mode is easier, p or v?” with a question like this.

Would you say that if the person offering cuddles has a choice of their clients, they aren’t being trafficked, and are genuinely not vulnerable (say it’s a side hustle or something), AND there was a way for Johns to know all of this, then would it be ok? Is it the consent part that’s problematic, or the transactional part?

I’m in a relationship. I’m here because I struggled with sexlessness in my early 20’s and I feel kinship for younger bros who are going through the same thing. I have a wife who is my best friend and we have an excellent equal relationship. I’m not RP, but I do sometimes see guys in other relationships not standing up for themselves and simping too hard for their partners, and I think, hrm, that can’t be good for long term relationship health. And a lot of MGTOW advice is similar to advice I’ve …

I’ve been that guy. I was told “I just broke up and not ready to date again” so I followed this girl around for months, becoming her part time driver, waiting for her to be ready again. It was an important lesson for me to learn, but she really did nothing wrong. I don’t know how I would have learned the lesson without going through it. I haven’t dated for a while, but of course I’ve heard stories about how hard it is. I can tell you that if you aren’t having fun you’re less attractive than if you are.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/01/22 04:18 AM

You must have friends, (men presumably) who you spend time with and don’t have sex with? Likely you have female family you enjoy seeing who you wouldn’t want to sleep with? There’s a million things to do with someone that aren’t sex. You asked for equivalent value. I know if you aren’t having sex it becomes extremely important. But it’s still not the only thing. And desperation is extremely unattractive, and you can never cover it up entirely.

You see the issue don’t you? People, men and women are very perceptive to intent. Who would a women rather spend time with, someone genuinely interested in having fun while getting to know someone, or someone who’s just pretending that’s what they want because they’re only there for sex? And who’s more “beta”, someone who enjoys the company, or someone who’s going through the motions hoping sex will happen on the other side?
/r/PurplePillDebate21/01/22 04:03 AM

Hey guys, just finished reading Anne Rice’s Queen of Dammed, sexy sexy vampires doing vampire things. Spoilers I guess, but the titular Queen of the Dammed’s big plan is to kill all but 1 in 100 men. This will apparently stop all wars, eliminate poverty, and create a utopia. She’s the bad guy, Thanos adjacent, so we’re meant to think this is a crazy idea, but there are whole slabs of text dedicated to her reasoning. The book was written in 1988, well before the current gender issues. Anyway, tho…

If by beta you mean having a genuine concern for the well-being of my spouse for its own sake, and not because I expect sex or whatever in return, then yeah sure I’m a beta. /r/PurplePillDebate03/07/21 02:57 PM

You said a lot there. You come close to agreeing with me, but then cherry pick a very specific scenario. If we have to compare a girl getting cat called to a guy getting robbed and assaulted of course it’s worse for the guy. But that’s not what we’re comparing is it? You’re deliberately going out of your way to claim you know what it’s like when you can’t possibly know.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/07/21 03:39 AM
1

Do you know what it’s like to have unwanted attention and be sexualised by people you aren’t attracted to and are often rightfully afraid of a lot of the time? Because I don’t. All I’m saying is you can’t know what it’s like, so trying to compare will never sound sincere. It will just sound like complaining.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/07/21 11:50 AM
1

It’s about perspective. Some women say they have it worse. Some men say they do. Since I’ll never know what it’s like to be a woman and women will never know what it’s like to be a man, I guess we will never know and it’s a crazy argument to even have.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/07/21 07:34 AM

I never said it was. Both sides have it tough though.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/07/21 08:12 PM

It’s a positive feedback loop. Guys are desperate and behave badly. Girls are rightfully angry about it, and treat guys badly. Guys are bitter and resentful and behave even worse.

So you know, I’m happily married. Just sympathetic for my bros. It’s good advice, I’d say the same. But it’s hard not to feel discouraged by rejection. Everyone should respect no, but tell that to romantic comedies.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/06/21 10:35 PM
9

Most the advice here is pretty good really, similar to what you’d find on a red pill forum. But every 5’5 guy can’t just go to the gym 3 days a week and get a six figure salary. If they did the advice would be go to the gym 7 days a week and get a 7 figure salary. And it’s hard to get the required confidence and experience with conversation when you’ve only had rejection.

What percentage of women at like this would you say? Genuine question, just looking to understand your perception, not looking to argue
/r/PurplePillDebate29/06/21 06:19 AM
1

…maybe I’m a bit stary eyed idealist here. I want to believe most people, men and women, want everyone around them to be happy and fulfilled, because that’s how society functions. And I think that most of the time when women treat guys badly it’s because unless guys are out down hard they don’t get the message.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/06/21 10:41 PM
2

You said the “advice always benefits the woman” giving it. That’s the bit I’m objecting to. Op has some good actionable advice for men. You’re just saying women shouldn’t be the ones to give it.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/06/21 06:27 PM
1

The first half of the argument is stupid. Most women aren’t arseholes. I think most women genuinely feel sympathy for guys going through sexlessness. (And I think most people in this sub, all genders, tend to be a bit battleworn, and so don’t represent the typical population)
/r/PurplePillDebate28/06/21 06:04 PM

I don’t think there’s anything magical about men that makes them better at being alone. In fact I’d guess they are worse at it than women generally, as men typically have higher sex drives.

/r/PurplePillDebate20/06/21 02:29 PM

I’d say that this points to tendencies, and is a huge generalisation. There are plenty of insecure guys when dating a more attractive girl, and plenty of women who will do more for a more attractive guy.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/05/21 08:45 PM
1

I know we’re on the same page here, so don’t think I’m trying to talk down to you or something. I’m just saying people, men and women, get humiliated all the time and yes it sucks, but society isn’t going to apologise to them for it. Responding with violence isn’t justified, no matter how hurt someone’s feeling are. It’s not a woman’s fault if she deliberately humiliates the wrong guy and the guy loses it.

I think those men are pretty rare, but they have interactions with a lot of women. Home invasions are pretty rare too, but you still lock your house. To put it another way, redheads are pretty rare (2% according to google), but I’ve met dozens of them. If one girl tried to kick me in the nuts for every redhead I’ve met I’d probably be afraid of women.

Having said that, the websites I looked at (to be fair these are part of the beauty industry) say that the stem cells are not harvested from abortions, they are replicated from the cells harvested previously. This makes sense, you can’t have a product like skin care that requires abortion by products as part of its supply chain. I tried to find out what actually happens to the abortion material after…

Maybe we are in the Age of Independence, whatever that is. Fine. But stable relationships exist and they are valuable to society. Couples are great at raising kids for starters. You’re bending over backwards to create a narrative that conforms to your world view. You want to say betas are better off single so you can feel superior. I think sex is a basic human desire and being with a lot of partners doesn’t imply any issues. It’s a stretch to say that attractive men with high N counts often have self esteem issues. Isn’t the more likely explanation that they enjoy sex with many different partners for its own sake?

Why have I had success with dating when I’ve only ever treated girls nicely? Why have I got a long term partner when I’m nice to her? Strength doesn’t have to mean abuse. Women are attracted to men who provide and support. There’s room to stand up for yourself and give back too. That’s what evolution wants for men, not this RP bullshit.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/11/20 03:42 AM

Reading between the lines here, something convinced you to treat women like crap. You acknowledge that you didn’t get validation from ascending and that there is void inside you. You acknowledge that you aren’t naturally abusive. I think deep down inside you know this isn’t the right approach.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/11/20 03:37 AM

If I’d found pages of scientific evidence of reasons I’d never be attractive to women I don’t think I’d ever have those first encounters that helped with my confidence issues. For me confidence was my only real iss…

I don’t want minimise human dignity, just pointing out how big the gap is :). And, while I’m not a woman so I don’t know first hand, women have to deal with a lot of unsolicited attention. Guys do become fixated and misread signals, and while it’s not most guys, the safest strategy is to bring the sledgehammer down hard whenever possible. I think it’s understandable they have guards up when any attention is unwanted.

Who is pushing these guys into relationships? Society, women in particular, constantly tells these guys to back off, you’re weird, your too low value, you’re making us uncomfortable. And, I’m saying I understand the reasons for that - women have to put up walls when the simplest gesture can be misinterpreted and aggressively latch on to any vulnerability. You said “They don’t want sex they want love”, and then in the next sentence you said “if that’s not happening they need to relieve urges in o…

You’re saying that people in dead bedrooms should change their situation. Incels often don’t feel like they have a choice. Yes would be my answer, but don’t take my word for it. How do we explain the black pill culture if incels aren’t psychologically damaged by constant rejection? You really don’t have to look far to find testimonials from guys who are damaged by modern dating. Are they just making it up?

“You can satisfy your biological needs with your hand” biological needs are more complex than how much juice is in the tank. If it were that simple we wouldn’t have these issues. Look at r/deadbedrooms, are you going to tell those people to just use their hand? You’re invalidating incel mens’ experiences. This is one of the main reasons these communities form, because no one listens and no one believes. You’ll notice that I’m not invalidating your experiences, I’m sure being treated like a sex o…

I’m sure only being wanted to sex is awful, but men can’t satisfy their biological needs just by making friends. I’ve known incel men who had jobs and active social lives who were psychologically damaged by their experiences trying to meet women. I don’t think we’d ever be able to compare the two experiences in a meaningful way. You can’t know what it’s like to be an incel man, and also know what it’s like to only be wanted for sex.

I really like the question OP, this is the kind of question I came to PPD to hear the answer to. I think it’s on society to do more to help incels out, education, therapy, awareness, and less about what women alone “should” do. I also suspect many of the RP men on this forum aren’t interested in anything constructive and just want to evangelise and spew bile.

I was in a big mix gender social clique at uni around 15 years ago. A few guys were very incel. The girls were friendly and such, but once a guy got a hug from a girl and assumed they were dating, drama ensued. Really I can’t access that, it doesn’t make any sense to me to spend time thinking about it. Maybe other guys are different? Actually, you’re probably right, it’s not just RPers, I’ve overstated it. My sincere advice to all men is not to fixate on it. If you’re dating someone and you like them don’t let their high N count come between you. It’s one facet of a persons history. If I could pick between any two identical women except one loves Mexican food, I’d pick the Mexican food girl. My wife doesn’t like Mexican food, and she has a high N count, but I still love her.

Oh, and the study thing is complicated, I don’t understand the statistical breakdown and I’d really like to. I’m suspicious of the 13% claim, I don’t think it makes sense. If we’re compounding that means that women at the maximum the study allowed for, 30, are something like 39116% more likely to cheat than a woman with their husband as their only partner. That’s nonsense. I’m honestly just seeking the truth, if that’s what the survey really shows I’ll accept it.

I think high N counts do make for better sexual partners. You’re more confident, you’ve explored different options and you know what you like. Other more experienced sexual partners have done things you enjoy and you can communicate that with your current partner. LRT dynamics are so much more complicated than how good a guy is in bed. It’s things like, does he help around the house, does he emotionally engage, is he good company when we’re laying around the house on a random Sunday afternoon. This is one of those horrible analogies straight out of PE class at the Baptist high school. People are not like cars. If you didn’t ask someone what her N Count is you wouldn’t even know. “Any man that show weakness to a women just get bullied etc” I doubt the commenter you’re responding to is suggesting using this as a dating strategy. Just seriously consider talking to a therapist privately and try discussing your insecurities with another account or with other people you know. I’ve seen RPers say men shouldn’t go to therapy. Do you think that’s common in RP communities?

“Being able to have kids doesn’t inherently make men more attractive than women ... evopsyc etc” I think, to be fair, the argument is that evopsyc does imply that our wiring is different. I don’t think it’s an unfair claim, as shitty as that reality might be. But the reasons RP men don’t want LTRs with older women are usually things like “she’s been giving it out for free and now she wants me to pay full price” and “divorce rape”, not that her value is low.

Despite the fact that there appear to be a lot of people out there suffering through this, these are just anecdotes. Those are strong claims that require evidence. What is the evidence for widespread deliberate deception? I promise I’m not trying to be an arsehole, or just to win an arrangement. I genuinely think that it’s a very shitty situation for a minority of men, and when it happens it’s actually not either parties fault. If there’s a root cause I want to be honest about it. If my assumptions are wrong I’d like to know about it.

I would feel shitty, but that’s not her fault is if? Sex drives drop off in LTRs and with age. And relationships are so complicated. I’m fine to say that it’s immoral if she was somehow deliberately deceptive about how much sex they’d be having when married, but I really think that’s rare. Otherwise none of that is the women’s fault.

I don’t think it’s selfish to want to be in an LTR for reasons other than sex. Wanting to start a family with someone you care about isn’t selfish. Refusing to compromise on sex in an LTR when your partner wants and you don’t is selfish. Withholding sex as some kind of manipulative game is borderline abusive. But just not having a high sex drive shouldn’t make it immoral for you to get married. There are lots of reasons to start an LTR, and sex isn’t a very good one. Just to clear this up, I’m m…

Marrying without sexual desire shouldn’t be immoral, but if there was some kind of calculated deception I would call that immoral. For example “can’t wait until this marriage is squared away so I never have to sleep with this guy again!”. But again, that feels pretty rare to me. I think a drop off in sexual desire in any LTR is common, for both men and women, and yes it must absolutely suck to be stuck in an LTR with that happening.

I honestly have no issues with any of that. Women shouldn’t expect anything of an individual man that that man isn’t interested in giving. Just like younger men shouldn’t expect anything from a younger woman that she isn’t interested in giving. When I was younger the answer was yes. Now (30s) it depends on how well I slept and if I had a big dinner. But probably yes. Actually I think the real answer is that if I had god powers to make any women I find attractive want to sleep with me I think the novelty would wear off after a few hundred girls, and I’d get really picky. I guess that’s an evolutionary survival thing to keep us sharp - I bet even 11/10 chad alphas have girls they want but can’t have.

“You reject guys that would put you in hospital etc” - I don’t know this sounds like classic “nice guy” to me. You’re painting a vivid mind picture from glimpses into reality. It’s so easy to imagine guys who are successful are actually secret scumbags, but do you have any evidence that’s what’s happening? What’s more, the anger at women in evidence on this subreddit aligns is completely consistent with violence towards women.

Couldn’t we rephrase this as “If you’re in a relationship without money problems, you’re engaging, and perform typical relationship duties, then your partner is more likely to find you attractive and want sex with you”? Aren’t we describing a normal healthy relationship at that point?

Thanks for linking the PDF, and let me be upfront and say I’ve no idea how to interpret the statistics. So I’m happy to take the 13% figure at face value. But this study only was done for women, so we can’t compare it to men. In the introduction the authors cite other studies that show men are more likely to be unfaithful than women. So again, I don’t think this says what the RP wants it to say - that it’s all those damn promiscuous women destroying relationships. Men cheat more than women.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/09/20 05:41 AM

To be clear it’s 1% higher for the 18-29 demographic, but for all others men are at least 2% more likely to cheat. But you’re right, the study references by the post shows that younger women cheat at slightly higher rates. However this isn’t exactly blowing my socks off. Tbh I think you’re fixating on a few anecdotes bouncing around your echo chamber. Even the linked wiki page doesn’t try to say it’s always women being unfaithful, just that they divorce more often. From my perspective you’re making a lot of broad generalisations. I’m sure you have reasons for the claims though, so educate me. Provide evidence for the following claims: 1. Most western women are promiscuous between 18-26. 2. Women over 26 don’t care about the men they form LTRs with 3. Such women are likely to cheat on their husbands. 4. All of that is a separate issue. You linked an article, presumably your best evidence, to rebut the claim that marriage later is less likely to result in divorce. I really hope so. I haven’t dated for 10 years, so maybe my perspective is out. Most of his lines are trivial things I can’t see the big problem with. If I told a girl I was on a first date with “I used to have casual sex a lot” that might seem weird. But if we’re getting serious, a few weeks in, getting to know one another why hide it? Jesus Christ... why does it have to be so complicated? You’re bending over backwards to equate two different things. I think that your four criteria for when women want sex are consistent with a world view that women just, on average, want sex less than men.

It takes all kinds to make a world. I’m not going to do whatever the opposite of kink shaming is to you. Prude shaming?

Does Pornography count as “weird stuff?” :)

That’s a great outcome mate. I hope you’re doing better. I simply haven’t heard that perspective before.

I thought you did when you said “what is the purpose of professional help...etc” but I was probably reading too much into it. Can I ask what you think the reaction would be in the various Manosphere communities to a call for someone to seek professional help in response to someone showing suicidal tendencies?

People getting talked down from ledges then that is a great outcome. Perhaps the reason we can’t find common ground is our different perspectives. All people outside of that space see is the negative stuff, because the most shocking stuff is what rises to the top. I really don’t think anyone here is saying the communities shouldn’t exist (probably some are, it’s a big thread), just that they aren’t the answer for everyone. I was an incel before the term was invented, and if someone had told me i…

I sincerely didn’t know you were talking about access to spaces to talk. Still it feels like a big leap to go from “go do something else” to “you’re causing suicide”. If these are positive places where men can talk about their feelings and find advice and healthy outlet for their frustrations then I’m absolutely all for them. I put it to you that openly discussing black pill suicidal thoughts in an environment where seeking professional help is discouraged (as you did yourself two posts ago) is …

“What is the purpose of professional help, help that he knows is going to work against him...” This is laughable. This hypothetical person knows they are right, but also knows if they seek advice from professionals they might be convinced they are wrong. It’s like being scared to answer the door in case the mormons convert you. If you’re so sure you’re right then why shut out other ideas? Because you don’t wanna get your membership to the grumpy men’s club cancelled?

OP is saying that a step away from this environment, gaining some new perspective, might be positive. They have their own evidence as an example. I’d love to understand why you think that makes OP responsible for all these suicides.

I love the view that women are Great Birds of Prey and Incels are lambs in this metaphor. It really is well put though. If all incels did was form support groups, give advice, and point out mental health resources things wouldn’t be great but it would be a lot better.

Sorry for taking a few days to wb I wasn’t sure how to respond honestly. I think I’m comfortable with everything you’ve said in your comment. I just think talking about capitalism and economic inequality complicates the conversation.

You’re absolutely right. Maybe it is just some evolutionary throwback? Am I just so cucked I’ve suppressed some evolutionary urge?

Thanks for the reply, and I think we’ve had similar journeys. I won’t say I enjoy doing the dishes, but I enjoy having a productive partnership. It’s actually from something I read posted on r/inceltears, I’ll see if I can find it. Genuinely curious, do you feel the same way about all pornstars? Sex workers? What about fashion models?

Yeah that sounds plausible - I’ll see if I can find the study and have a look. But are we sure that separation is worse for both partners long term? I remember reading a study that suggests divorce creates a short term lowering of happiness, but over the long term couples who divorce are happier than couples who stay together. I suspect that having more experiences tends to give people less inertia to overcome when they consider leaving a bad relationship. And should the goal of society be to ha…

Thanks for the response, I’m just really glad I’m not just shouting into the void here. Respectfully though, I don’t want to conflate widening inequality gaps with how hard it’s becoming for men to compete in the dating world. The two things have different origins and require different conversations. It’s possible the two worsen each other, but they are two different things

Op said “ex OnlyFans”, so I was responding to the idea that someone is forever undatable because they used it in the past. It’s fair to say that dating someone currently using OnlyFans is more confronting. But, pornstars and sex workers still date, and there are plenty of men comfortable enough to date them. If it becomes normalised men will either get used to it or they will have a smaller pool of girls to date.

I don’t agree it’s emotional manipulation. I think everyone knows what they’re getting into when they pay money to see nudies. I’ll grant that some people become emotionally attached, but I don’t think it’s the same thing

What data? Are there statistics that say men are unhappier with women who are experienced?

I’ve thought a bit more about this. It feels like these preferences, while not misogynist in isolation, are 1. Consistent with an outdated approach to women’s autonomy, which I would consider borderline misogynistic. 2. Discussed frequently in red pill circles, for some reason. If we take the red pill as a given, then why aren’t red pill men more accepting of high N counts? It’s possibly the least most important thing when selecting a partner. You wouldn’t even know if you didn’t ask most of the…

Why N count? That means “Number Count”, which is stupid. Wouldn’t P&V count make more sense? Eh, why fight the tide

Not sure if this is appropriate but really like that this community exists. I have so many feelings around this topic. I’ve been happily married for 10+ years to my beautiful wife, a real proper beta cuck partnership, I even do the dishes. In my younger years I struggled to meet people purely because of my own confidence issues. Once I did have sex in my 20s a lot of that went away, but that sexless period had an impact on me. I feel like in today’s much more competitive dating world I wouldn’t …

I am married/partnered for 10+ years. While I was dating the answer for me was a firm no. Sex and sexual compatibility was important to me when I was looking for any kind of relationship, long term or otherwise.

“Just as most men would never date an ex-hooker ex-pornstar an ex-OnlyFans emotional abuser will simply be unappealing...” I think if what you’re predicting (that it’s normalised by 2030) most men will get over their discomfort.(edit - fixed a misquote)

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
