Why do you know so much about your friend's sexual life? Even talking about his "oral game"...

My dad is a lvm who thinks doing household chores are a women's duty and didnt lift a finger until my mother's mum stopped coming by to help with chores and childcare. This is why i'm agaisnt the "breadwinner hypocrisy" where women are pushed to do 80-100% chores because men arent pushed to do the same when they arent the breadwinners. This is also why i'm agaisnt the It tAkEs a VilLaGe thing because it just puts the responsibility of chores, child rearing and emotional labour on other women whi…

My case is weirder. My mom was the main breadwinner and made my dad cook. He is a fantastic cook now and my mom is still terrible. Yet she made us sisters do household chores yet my brother didnt lift a finger. And to boot, despite not doing chores, having terrible grades and being overall rude, my brother received more allowance than us.

Pickmeishas reinforce the enviroment you mention, though. Also, many of them dont come from an abusive enviroment. Many times it is because they have a family to support them and clean their messes that they dont gauge the risks of getting involved with a lvm. And that would be ok with me, but they dont stop with themselves. Instead, they try to push and shame others into behaving the same way.

Why would you halt your career for getting married? And if you dont want to date, then dont. But if you are going to date anyway, think if it is more convenient to you to get married or not. And watch out for canada's laws, even if you dont get married, you might have to pay "partner support" to a lvm, so never date down.

It depends on the country. Check your country's laws and statistics. Do the laws protect you more if you get married? FI: tax perks, healthcare perks, widower pay... would alimony laws work in your favour or against you? Is it easy to access divorce if you need it? Also, check statistics about how marriage affects women's employement: in my country married women without children earn less than married women with children or single women (with kids or not).

If men that watched porn were capable of maintaining loving, capable relationships we wouldnt be talking about how harming watching porn is. I think many of us werent opposed to the idea of porn until recent research.

I agree with you. And what baffles me more is that they insist that their husband earns way more than them, then, why arent they getting paid help with that money? Why do they insist in being chefs and maids instead of using their free time to bond with their children other family and friends? They could be creating much needed employement like this, imo it would be a win for everyone.

I am economically dependent of my husband right now, i know it " can" work but it isnt usually the case. Usually the economic imbalance goes to their head. I'm in my 40s, i have seen it happening so many times... and any statistic about this confirms it. Men change with the economic imbalance, dont count on them behaving the same way you expected them to behave. And please, dont tell me tha abused women with no economic resources have the same chances of leaving an abusive relationship, we all k…

Being a housewife puts you in a vulnerable position. I dont have the statistics at hand, so pls take my word for it but the most common time for men to start cheating is when having the 1st child. Moreover, men tend to become financially abusive. And they put 100% of caregiving work and household chores on women. Many of you would say, whats wrong with that? Well, for starters, when the woman is the breadwinner, that "logic" goes out the window & nobody expects men to do that. Also, what happens…

People are allowed to go to their main address, so your boyfriend going back home is not breaking any rules. Since he is unable to respect you in your own home, tell him to go. Who knows how much longer this will get, put your mental health first.

The whole village thing is nonsense. There are more children than yours in the village, so you have families fighting for resources and actually sabotaging one another.

You wont be the one breaking up the family if you tell her. But can you let her know in an anonimous way? You never know what men like this are capable of doing, so it's better if you protect yourself.

Do i feel bad for being assertive and having leader qualities? No, why should i? I'm proud of it, actually. And defining courage as masculine, arent you also defining coward as feminine? Why would you accept such a mindset?

Italian men eat quite well, imo. Maybe the eat a bit too much red meat compared to women but they still have a quite balanced diet. But as another commenter said, it's probably because they smoke more and this is a disease that attacks lungs.

Right? Men who women to submit are abusive. Moreover, nobody thinks men should submit to women if we are the breadwinners...

Your mother needs therapy for going through the trauma of an unwanted pregnancy and child rearing that stole her youth. That is why she got mad at you when you started resembling her, because you remind her of what she lost and also, she got anxiety over the possibility of repeating the cycle through you. This is normal, my mother is the same way even though my dad isnt a deadbeat man. But in my country, women didnt have access to contraceptives back them. I'm not preaching you, i ended up cutti…

Men have it easier in the job market, and that economic power imbalance goes to their head. I've seen many friends' husband's change when she is kicked out of her job due to sexist conceptions about maternity, due to sexual harasment or due to health problems that are ignored by doctors during decades without them bothering to proper diagnose and treat. They love it even more if she is more prepared than them, they dont think is unfair. Instead they get a kick out of it, that they get better job…

i'd like to add, that women with children, specially if they have been out of job for years, may consider setting up a business instead of getting hired. Internet offers a great platform to offer products/services from your home if that is necesary.

Trying to understand why he is doing what he does will lead you nowhere. His issues are his own, his choices are his own. You need to worry about your own choices and avoid someone who has hurt you. The why doesnt matter, only that he did.

Even if you dont plan to have a family, who knows what can happen in the future? Better have someone that can have your back in case something goes wrong.

Sorry for the late reply, but I dont think your comment makes sense. You arent trying to control anything, are letting the man lead, yet you are not being accommodating? I find that hard to believe. Anyways, i'm happy with leading and controlling my life, it has worked fine for me and i reject anyone calling controlling your own life masculine.

no, she doesn't know what a HVW is, things like this in https://katarinaphang.com/what-is-feminine-energy/ " So here’s the typical story of modern women of the 21st century. They are too self-sufficient and independent for their own good. " or this " Feminine energy is about being, acceptance and receiving while masculine energy is about doing, go getting, goal seeking and giving. It’s passive, agreeable and accommodating while masculine energy is active and being in control (and often appears c…

It's the father's fault, Children learn through imitation of the parent they identify with, usually the one of the same sex. So let's stop blaming mothers and start blaming fathers instead.

You are right to protect your privacy and choose what to share with your partner. Having said this, I found this sub recently and talked about it with my husband, if he were the type to get threatened by me reading this I wouldnt have married him.
