The job has fallen more so to the senior enlisted at the company level. The officer corp. for a reason I don't quite understand, has taken more of a hands off policy in regards to the personal lives of the junior men. (Not in the military, but have a lot of friends that are)

How is that a legitimate question? The size difference between calibers is negligible, so that is not being sacrificed. The main difference is, like you said, between whether she is issued a handgun that uses is either a single or double stack magazine. And then, if you they are issued extended mags, the capacity difference is negligible as well. OP is simply looking for something to whine about here.

I might be getting irrationally angry at this thread... It just gives ammo to the people that claim the MRM is sexist though. She can't help something like how big her hand is, and if she can do the job give her the equipment to do the fucking job.

That's a fucking stupid comparison. This has nothing to do with physical standards. As far as any of us know she is fully capable of meeting any physical test she is given. This is about her and her fellow officer not being given the proper equipment to perform their duties when a solution is readily available.

Yes, you are overreacting. Believe it or not, pistols are not one size fits all. Some grips are larger, like on a Glock 17 or a Berreta 92, which are 2 of the most common police firearms, but other are smaller and easier for some people to use. Requesting that you be allowed to use a gun with a smaller grip, and then being denied that while also being tested for firearms accuracy is asinine.

Ok, there is some bullshit going on in this thread already. No, this is not overreacting. A Glock 17, while being a common firearm for police departments, does have a grip that is on the larger side. And yes, that does affect you when trying to accurately fire it. If they are going to require she carry a gun, then one that she can safely and accurately use needs to provided. Not every discrimination suit is bullshit.

This isn't really the best example to show how men interacting with kids are treated. Anyone that has gone through any kind of situational awareness training can tell you that you are supposed to look for things that stand out, and from the info provided by the author, this situation would have stood out. Now the "DHS" official could have approached it better than he did, but that alone doesn't make him wrong in this situation.

What I would ask her is how she can justify countless affairs while completley shutting out the idea of her husband having one as well, claiming "I dont want to share his time or money with another woman". If she uses the evolutionary argument then she should be all for her husband going ut a sowing his seed as that is what he is biologiclly programed to do.

its not advocating for "secret" trials, it is advocating for the with holding of a name, secret would imply that nothing at all from the courts is released but the out come and often not even that (think FISA court), if you release every thing from the trial and just change the persons name to defendant in the papers, you don't have a problem and protect a potentially innocent persons identity from character assassination

holy fuck you refuse to let this go..."inocent until proven guilty" which to the established legal, note: LEGAL, community means that until a jury/judge (in certain cases) finds you GUILTY of a crime, in the eyes of the LAW you are inocent of that crime, and all we are asking for is that until a guily verdict is delivered, a man be given the continued presumption of innocence by not having his name released befor hand.
