As much as I think she should have gotten 20+ years, I also think that investors investing billions of dollars should have done A LOT MORE DUE DILIGENCE.

A corporation is the last place I'm going to turn to for moral guidance, they are in the business of making money and EVERYTHING they do is working in that direction. If they thought it would make them money they'd advocate cannibalism.

Hell hath no fury like that of a women scorned. Men have to deal with sexual rejection routinely. But most women cannot deal with it at all. Welcome to "equality".

A man's maximum effort becomes his boss's/supervisors's/manager's minimum expectation. A man's maximum effort becomes his friend's minimum expectation. The world is full of expectations, you have to deal with them by not dealing with them.

IF this woman is working a full time job she has a point. If she is a stay at home mom she is delusional. I couldn't really tell.

Dude, trust me when I say the way forward is clear. Leave. Just like you cannot negotiate desire in a marriage, you cannot negotiate recognition if your boss has some ingrained reason to avoid it. Walk away.

If he's really doing as you say he won't be in business long. The vast majority of employers/bosses I have worked for over the years would put up with a certain amount of bullshit from the high-performers, much less push them aside. Let's say for the sake of argument that your characterization of the situation is spot on (I doubt it, but let's just say). What leverage do you think you have? If he is this delusional you are not going to change his mind, period. I won't bother talking about the ot…

I did something similar when I was 40 ish. But, instead of going all the way bald right off the bat, I just cut it with a 1/8" guard, so not bald just very very short. After a year or so I cut the rest off. This gives family/friends time to get used to it gradually :) Anything is better than the "donut" look. Some men look better with no hair than others, depends on the shape of your head and other considerations. But really, us balding guys don't have that many options.

Welcome to the world of work. Along your way you will encounter several of these types, the passive-aggressive, the needy superior, the people who care way more about how you make them feel or how you boost their standing among their peers and subordinates than they do about what you get done. You have figured it out, the playing field is tilted and don't waste your time, find a better position.

Being a man is all about discipline. Doing what you SHOULD do instead of what is easy or feels good. Discipline with money is no different than the discipline that drives you to go hard at the gym, eat the right foods, not drink too much, etc. It is just making the hard choices about how you are going to use your resources and then having the will power to stick to it. There is no magic here, it is mostly... you got it.... discipline. You have to struggle for every dollar, quid, rupee or ruble, …

Attention, affection, sex of any kind any time any where. Maintaining my house and garden, doing most of the legwork for our business, never letting me doubt what we have. Everyone is different. I tried the plate thing for a while but it just does not fulfill me. I need to wake up and touch my wife in my bed every morning. I prefer marriage. But maybe that isn't working for you. Only you can decide what you need and how to get it.

The discipline of managing money is brutal at times, but not near as brutal as not having any. I had the good fortune to be brought up in a poor family. I saw early on what it was like to live paycheck to paycheck. When I was about 12 years old, I told myself I was not going to live like this when I grow up. And I didn't. And it is all really simple - spend less money than you make ALL THE TIME. Now that you see the pain of being broke I'm guessing you will be able to do what has to be done. Goo…

I believe AWALT is a very nuanced concept that is easily misunderstood. Just because "all women are like that" (and frankly all human beings are not like anything, blanket rules never work) doesn't mean that all women will act on that. In other words I think AWALT refers to tendencies, not absolutes. Since your GF did act on that I don't think she is worth any further consideration as a plate or anything else. IMHO.

Don't get too excited. All the states collect similar amounts of revenue, they just do it in different ways. In Tx, the property taxes and sales taxes are high to make up for the lack of an income tax.

No. When aroused the vagina relaxes. This is how you tell she is ready (along with moisture). When you insert your penis the vagina contracts to fit it. Think about it, if it were otherwise once a woman had a baby no one could be big enough ever.

FWIW from someone twice your age - those jobs where you hire in with the "understanding" that you will work in one capacity for a time and then get a shot at the job you actually wanted often do not work out. Women WANT to be attracted to their partners. She found your Low Sex Marriage book and it made her sad. Why? Because her level of sexual attraction is not a decision it is a feeling. It is there or it it not based on whether you MERIT attraction. So, having little attraction and not knowing how to fix that (because she CAN'T) she offered you a way out. You see where this is going. If you want to fix your marriage to this person you are going to have to become more attractive to her.

If you are a young man (under 30 say) in the IT/software field YOU SHOULD NOT BE WORKING ANYWHERE FOR MORE THAN 2-3 YEARS. Here is why. It is the accountant mentality. When you are at that point in your career, your actual market value rises VERY FAST. You might truly be worth 20% more than you were last year. But people doling out the money can't see that. They will pay whatever they have to pay to hire someone new with the skills they need, but it is BEYOND THEIR KEN that someone could actuall…

Many years ago at 6'1" and 135lbs, I felt your pain. Suddenly single at age 40 had a reason to do something about it. It took 3-4 months to get to 174 lbs and it definitely changed my life. When you are born, a lot of your life is set up. You are born to rich parents or poor parents. You are born to nurturing parents or assholes. This is so funny. In my first marriage, around year 4 my wife says to me "I'm not the jealous type and I don't mind if you have an affair". I think she called it a "fling". There were no rules mentioned, it was sort of out of the blue. I found her words hurtful without really thinking about why at the time. Now, the thoughtful reader might wonder why someone would say something like that. Later, I could think of these possibilities... 1) She truly didn't care if I fucked around. I highly doubt t…

Ok you asked for it. Only dumbasses infer anything like success or status from the car one drives. Anyone with a modicum of savvy knows that any shlub willing to go into debt can buy a "status" car. I dunno. Are they idiots or did they just realize that in the corporate work world - staying up 'til midnight to finish something up will likely result in ZERO BENEFIT ACCRUING TO THE PERSON WHO DID IT? In fact, the most likely result is that it will now be a routinely expected part of the job. I agree if you make a commitment you should honor it but perhaps the meaning of commitment was never assumed to be working ridiculous hours, something that should have perhaps been clarified from the star…

I'm not the kind to kick someone when they are down, but for the love of all that is holy NEVER allow a woman access to your money. NEVER. My own wife of 20 years (who I trust implicitly) only has access to our joint funds, and those are just enough to keep the household running. MY money is in MY accounts and she does not have access to it. Put YOUR money in it's own account in only your name. Really, you opened your kimono and who is surprised.

Exactly. Nothing is more unattractive than the bozo-the-clown look that bald men get when they keep cutting their hair as if they still had hair. I started with a buzz cut and after a few years just shaved it. Id' rather not be bald, but its better than the bozo look.

Money = Options. No money, no options. Having some cash stashed is the difference between telling your asshole boss to shove it, or having it shoved in you because you cannot do without the job. The top-of-the-line phone or shiny car or rad gaming machine is all nice, but until you have some fuck you money of your own you cannot afford them.

Do you think she is suddenly actually attracted to you? Because that is what it would take for the sex to ever get any better. I think this falls into the category of 'you don't know what you got until you (almost) lose it'. Now that the breakup is becoming real, you look at lot better than you did. No not particularly. Everyone is different, and will put on fat differently. What you are trying to do here is eat a lot more lean protein, chicken, eggs, maybe some tuna, and fresh vegetables and not too much bread, rice and potatoes and as close to no sugar as you can. And you are trying to keep the intensity of your workouts high so your body is more interested in putting on lean weight than adipose. Good luck!

I was 6'1" 140lbs for most of my adult life. Finally circumstance made it important that I gain some weight. I started lifting and EATING. EATING was the key, I was eating about 2400 calories a day and I needed 3000 to gain. Let me tell you, at first you are going to have to eat way more than you are comfortable with.
