Thank you, that's definitely interesting. I'm somewhat familiar with Finnish history (as a man from the country-what-can't-be named and all the shared history lol) but honestly didn't know about genetic specifics.

Sorry, but the curiosity overpowered me, so I looked up your comments. Is inbreeding really a problem in Finland? Honestly never knew that.

Jesus was cool, but he ended on the cross. That's what concerns me here. it's going to hurt your chances of survival. If you keep going back and forth with someone, things are probably going to keep escalating until some real shit happens I'm not sure if I understood you correctly, but I'm really confused about "back and forth" part. Where do you get that? I meant that you treat people well until they mistreat you. Then you'll free to treat them accordingly, because they're clearly hostile towar…

I'm not religious. As for helping anything, it might help your survival.

Isn’t this a vicious cycle? It is. That’s not a reaction to mistreatment, that’s just bad behavior. It is. And neither you nor I can do anything about it, because that's how internet communication works for the most part. That means all the emotions, not just anger and self-pity That also means when a person feels angry, they don't suddenly stop to feel angry and become compassionate saints just because that's righteous thing to do. As long as they feel angry, they feel angry, that's it. Humans …

Okay, let's see how it goes. First people experience failure, and as a result they are frustrated with the fact that most people's standards exclude them. So they understandably feel angry/sad and need to vent. When they do that, they're met either with hostility (as in "you filthy incel" or "you're privileged and have it easy"), or with condescending bs (as in "just hit the gym bro", or "there are enough women who'll like you for you"). Obviously they want to stick with more positive advice, tr…

So, even with this assumption, that guy told you that women like tall men with big shlongs and then replied to you claiming the contrary or what? Because I have very hard time believing it. Like yes, overwhelming majority of women prefer that, and being angry about it is like being angry at the weather at this point, let alone being angry while contradicting himself. Maybe you encountered a schizophrenic here, I dunno

What do y’all think a relationship is? a woman screeching “ don’t touch me you male!” As she fuck the mailman in front of you Well, in my experience it's when you comfort her for two hours when she's triggered by a random memory of an ex. And when you ask her that maybe it's not the best idea to go partying to the club alone, then you're insecure and controlling. And also when you complain that you feel down and exhausted from the workload, the very next argument she qualify you a weak wimp. And…

Can't speak for anybody, I'm just annoyed with hypocrisy. At this point I don't care about dating at all, but can we at least have a genuine honest discussion? For most women height is a deal-breaker, for most men lower n-count is preferable, both statements are just facts. We could just acknowledge that women are mostly shallow, and many men have madonna-whore double standards. But no, there's shitty hypocritical excuses all the time. That's why the topics are full of spite and don't ever die.

why not simplify it? Well, for example, because finding out you're cheated on (and not dumped already just because she doesn't wanna lose your resources) is not exactly pleasant experience?

Speaking from experience, being friends with a former crush can work only under certain conditions: 1.) You're mature enough to understand that's just yet another likable girl and not "the one", so you're able to move on quickly, 2.) After rejection you take enough time and space apart from her and only then you two reconnect, 3.) She honestly doesn't want anything from you other than occasional nice conversations about common interests. No asking for favours, no emotional vomiting, no "friendly…

I’m not the one getting super upset about women having standards Well, so who's the one getting super upset? Because if you are not and I am not then it must be someone else. because my experience with them has been that they are insecure to the point of being unable to leave it alone, and it becomes a point of discussion in every social setting I mean come on, let's not pretend that shorter men just out of the blue and not because they're literally conditioned by women that it's a big deal. Well, cictionary descriptions of conservatism or libertarianism are also quite nice on paper, but in reality somehow first are religious nutjobs and second are okay with paedofily. I can't stop finding it absolutely facsinating how any time a woman can't find an argument, she turns it around the most ridiculous way possible. First of all, since you equate being "up" or "down' with such an arbitrary characteristics as height, you _are_ shallow. And you could own it, because in the end humans aren't ideal viceless creatures and that's fine. For instance I don't find large noses physically appealing, you don't find shorter men attractive, we're both shallow. But instead of ow…

Well, I was quite active in leftist organizations for past ten years or so, and I've seen (and talked to) enough feminists naturally. Also, given that I'm now making 7 times my first salary, I wouldn't say I have no qualities to survive in a competitive environment. Given all that, I want to sincerely wish you to eat shit and fuck yourself. Those young men are absolutely right and you're a clown.

As someone actually sold on communism, those nutjobs have usually no idea (and no fuck) about communist theory.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/09/22 11:24 AM

And white liberal fourth wave feminism, which is absolutely predominant nowadays is exactly what it's label says: it's absolutely about accepting capitalist structures, adapting said structures for themselves, and trying to make most benefits out of it. Which kinda implies white liberal women being superior to most males.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/09/22 11:19 AM
1

That's not a misunderstanding, that's a shift of meaning. If it was the other way, "real feminists" would fight those who misrepresent them. Even among western leftist there are groups who have balls to be vocally against the "misgendering is worse than capitalist exploitation" crowd. Meanwhile "real feminists" do literally nothing to publicly address the problem with "allegedly fake feminists".
/r/PurplePillDebate09/09/22 10:56 AM
1

Western left is absolutely fucked up. I'm not left-leaning, but actually "let's hang the billionaires unironically" leftist, and I still can't fully cones to terms how those morons could trade addressing systemic issues for half-assed identity politics while accepting the status quo in any significant regard
/r/PurplePillDebate09/09/22 10:19 AM
2

I would add that most sane marxist feminists I know nowadays are even reluctant to call themselves so, and prefer to speak about "gender issues" etc. That's how toxic the label has become.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/09/22 10:00 AM

If you don't wanna date "down", don't. I personally have no problem with it. Just stop with all that "most women are not shallow" bs, please, it became really annoying.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/09/22 08:23 AM

I guess it depends on how you define "successful". Like I had a few girlfriends, while some men had none. In the same time, to quote my latest ex, she "wanna fuck tall handsome men", but stayed because she "didn't wanna lose his [my] care". So technically, I guess, I qualified as a "short men in relationships", but as for my standards that's not something I would call "success".
/r/PurplePillDebate08/09/22 06:21 PM

Many women are incapable of feeling love as men understand it, and most others fixate on love too much. The latter are exactly those types who chase after alcoholic abusers because "they could change him" and "he's not that bad" etc. And the former are reasons why men here think that women are "insert whatever here". They aren't malevolent for the most partz they just love men in a similar way a man loves his car. He may take pride in it, he may enjoy the ride, and he definitely needs to take ca…

Dude. Six years ago I made only not so much above average for my city, I wasn't wealthy by no means. Still didn't prevent my ex from exploiting me while sleeping around behind my back, because, quote: "I didn't want to lose all that care". Many women realistically understand that rich men are limited, and many are content with less, and after all money isn't the only thing of "providing". I'd argue that a sense of stability and being cared of is even bigger of a factor. Lots of money just facili…

Then why women act surprised when they find out men in general are not living embodiment of stoicism?
/r/PurplePillDebate11/10/21 03:58 PM

I have no idea what rejection has to do with literally advocating for men to die.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/10/21 03:48 PM
2

An example would be "here's John and his wife, they can willingfully attest they're happy together without second thought".
/r/PurplePillDebate11/10/21 03:33 PM

First of all, how could I forget that horse jockeys aren't negligible minority most people are completely unfamiliar with. Who doesn't know at least a couple of them. Second, "married" doesn't automatically mean "in happy relationships". I had girlfriends, I can speak from experience.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/10/21 03:28 PM

That women are fairer, more empathetic, less superficial, less aggressive sex who is unable of abuse and needs to be protected at all costs against cruel male world. That's the narrative most men grew up with.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/10/21 03:25 PM

I mean there are almost no people who take that "name calling" (which is in fact only a symptom of the whole societal bias) seriously.

2

Thanks, I'm speaking from experience lol
/r/PurplePillDebate11/10/21 03:18 PM

I guess it depends on your definition of "below average". I prefer objective measurements in this regard, and I indeed see almost no men under 5'8 in happy relationships, for example.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/10/21 03:14 PM
3

Isn't it ironic how this is "confirmation bias", and yet no one claiming how many ugly men in loving relationships they see still can't provide a single bulletproof counterexample.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/10/21 03:02 PM
5

Oh, here we go again with "you don't try enough" bs. What is that magical "trying" most men don't do? Socializing? There were times that I went out practically every weekend. Staying in shape? I work out. Having actual personality? I dare to think I have plenty, given my various hobbies and interests. What's next? Becoming stand-up comedian? Learning NLP? Or what do we do wrong?
/r/PurplePillDebate11/10/21 02:59 PM

And yet we have the whole cultural narrative about women being divine goddesses, which most women are eager to perpetuate.

Of course. Most people don't go for unnecessary confrontation in situations like this.

Human biology is hella complocated. I think it wouldn't be an overstatement to say that we just can't properly separate "purely biological" and socially conditioned behaviours. And since when we look at other great apes we see pretty much the same variety of sexual behavious. So I doubt that some innate preferences on let's say looks are that inflexible.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/10/21 02:30 PM
7

Ironically how not viewing men as people is normalized
/r/PurplePillDebate11/10/21 02:20 PM
5

Having a grudge is probably too much, but less agressive/more avoidant behavious is perfectly understood. If you know that a bear is able to kill you in an instant, you better avoid bears, even if this particular cub just wants to play.

3

> We can redistribute wealth based on a sense of fairness, but you can't redistribute women But we as a society can reshape what is considered attractive and virtuous. If standards for women (both in terms of beauty and acceptable behavious) vary significantly among different cultures and eras, surely in principle they can change for men too. Other than that the answer is to teach boys deprioritize sex. The less they view getting their dicks wet as a seal of social approval, the easier they'll c…

I'm not that sure about "most" either. If we had statistics it would be clearer, but since we have none my anecdotal evidence says it's not that uncommon. I've known a woman who said that she needs vaginal stimulation only, moreover, in her words her most sensitive spot was quite deep, so she needed like really big penis to climax (that makes it hard for many men by definition). Several others said they could orgasm only from quite lengthy oral sessions etc. Women I've been with weren't that pic…

It's just a buzzword for "I (don't) wanna fuck you for whatever reason". When you can't straightforwardly say that your date is ugly, boring, awkward, off-putting or otherwise incompatible with you, you can always say something about "chemistry" and stuff. Just listen to how women talk among their female peers. When they discuss why they rejected men they always have a particular reason. It may range from dick size to the way he talks about his mom, but "everything was fine, we just don't click"…

No breed recs. Adopt the one who you feel instant connection with, no matter how they look. Seriously, the connection is super important, if a cat don't really likes you, it'll make you uncomfortable at best. I've seen "pure-born cats" who were selected just for the sake of breed, and it almost never seemed like both cats and owners were that content. A minute of probability theory 101. Let's say a guy finds 1/3 of women attractive enough (it's quite close to my experience). In return, only 1/100 of women find him attractive. Let's be generous and say only 3/4 of women are in relationships or otherwise out of the dating scene. The resulting probability of finding a potential mutually attracted woman is at best 1/1200. So even if the guy in question meets a new woman every week on average, it may took him up to 23,5 years to find a mate.

Disagree in some regards. First of all, the attention one can get for being a class clown or whatever, isn't necessarily romantic/sexual in nature. The same goes with social aptitude alone. For example, I never really had that hard of a time making friends, so I guess I can't pass as socially inept even though I definitely haven't got Bill Clinton's charisma. However, romantic context is another beast. You need not any attention and not any social skills, but pretty specific kind of attention an…

Because I was supposed to "be grateful she gave me her time". Because I was expected to enjoy any female attention. Because I was told thousands of times how my "manliness" is determined by my dating/sexual success. That's the reality for most men. And it's not about "no value just because someone didn't reciprocate". It's about it's being practically compulsory.

Wait, support and care and empathy are necessary for relationships, no doubt. But we're not speaking about established relationships here. The OP isn't even about dating, it's about getting basic mutual connection, probably before the first date is even at stakes. Respect. I had my fair share of insults and nagging, I guess it's enough for me. Support would be excellent, but even not belittling is already ok. Empathy. If her idea of "manliness" implies not having emotions, she's free to find someone more reserved. Genuine desire towards me. I'm repulsed by most of bdsm stuff, I don't like blowjobs that much, and anal is optional at best. So I don't expect much more than good old PiV (no problem with going down on her, but we're speaking of my demands now)…

Basically yes, although I realize my definition of "well" is highly subjective. If for some "well" includes anal orgies, what can we do about it?

Because if you don't look for extreme cases in particular, it's usually not about having one jock boyfriend in college, it's more often about consistently going for jocks but then suddenly "mature" for s nerd who look nothing like those tens of men who she were into. We can easily find any possible weird exception just because there are 8 billion people in the world. Just statistically there will be men who are insecure about a single past boyfriend etc. Should we really go as far as doubling do…

Most of what I was hoping to do was try to bring men up Thank you, I think most of us appreciate it. kids that might come in here and think this is the normal male experience That's understandable, however I doubt there are many young men who had no idea about pills etc. Rejection is an awful beast Imo rejection is ok, at least ss long ss it polite. It might be unpleasant but there are many unpleasant things in life. Abuse, humiliation and insults are what many men are more concerned, I'd say.

I doubt anyone can realistically answer such a question due to quite unnatural conditions. Three boyfriends and nothing more just isn't the sample you can extract any data from, at least without any additional info. Maybe Woman A really doesn't have a type, or maybe she's was just settling for one boyfriend but was madly attracted to two others. Maybe Women B's case is just a coincidence, and maybe it's her type. In reality most women have much more experience and you can see much more context. …

Come on. Please, come on. There is no camps and there is no extremes. There's just honestly admitting that looks is a cornerstone of attraction (and therefore the most important factor) and there's the cowards. Just goddamn OWN it. I'm a leftist in a right-wing dictatorship and I'm risking getting arrested like every day. If I'm okay with risking it, women can already admit they're into looks the most and risk just a minor backlash. You know what? I almost respect my ex to admitting she wanted t…

/r/PurplePillDebate08/10/21 09:33 PM

I think that's kind of a selection bias honestly. Like I had girlfriends but was it worth it? Absolutely no. Nothing that can be considered remotely healthy relationships. You can argue that's still relationships, but does it make that much meaning? I understand an argument about numbers (like 2/10 against 10/10) but that numbers are quite arbitrary and I don't think we could tell every "suboptimal" man to settle for an obese ugly single mom twice he's age just because we perceive him as not so …

/r/PurplePillDebate08/10/21 09:24 PM

Who cares? If a person chooses to be celibate, he's already not so much concerned with what others might think about him. Personally, going celibate was among best decisions I've ever made, and it had nothing to do with "too much sex" obviously
/r/PurplePillDebate08/10/21 09:22 PM

I don't know if interests change as drastically as completely dumping previous lifestyle. I can see how, for example, my musical taste evolved. But it evolved. I didn't suddenly realized that I should listen to entirely different genres. I gradually expand my musical knowledge, and then decided that I like some music I found more recently slightly more then music I liked before. That's why I find 180 turns from wild NSA adventures to perfectly commited marriage rather unrealistic.

So you're basically saying that there's as much mental difference between a child and an adult as between 20 y. o. and 30 y. o. Quite a bold assumption. Adults, as far as I can judge, change their preferences throughout adulthood mostly when there is a good reason to change. Like realization that their past preferences did them no good. Or because they haven't known better and now they discovered other options. Rarely the other way around.

Fair points, I get it. As for concerns about sexual experience, well, everyone has their fair share of insecurities, but if you exclude extreme neurotics I guess it's a matter of balance. As you rightfully mentioned, too little experience can raise concerns as well. Of course, having like 40 short-term relationships only from 18 to 30 would probably raise concerns why so many attempts in a row consistently resulted in failure. Not gonna lie. Wait, hold on. Arguments like "I see ugly men with girlfriends" or "I'll choose an interesting man over hot but boring one" are literally brought every time the topic of male looks is mentioned. Of course no one thinks women don't care about looks at all, but it's usually presented that most women can quite easily trade looks for nice personality. For me absolutely. Either no interest in politics at all, or views similar to mine. What's the point of being with a person who you either constantly fight with, or avoid mentioning some topics at all? Just to make it clear: do you realize that statistically average penis is something like 5.5-5.8 inches in length?
/r/PurplePillDebate07/10/21 11:51 AM
1

Disagree. High body count likely means that a woman (1) puts much emphasis on sex, (2) has no big problem with changing partners, and (3) has been with enough men to encounter someone better than you in any regard. So if we assume that past behaviour is the best predictor of future behaviour, it's quite reasonable to assume such a woman is much more likely to dump you or cheat on you.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/10/21 11:48 AM
2

Come on, overexaggeration is already the major problem with this sub, no need to double down on it. If you consider anything but Prince Charming/supermodel "settling", it's reductio ad absurdum. There is an obvious difference between going for something you like even they aren't exactly a person from your dreams, and being with someone you just tolerate for unrelated reasons.

They genuinely think it means women are liars instead of believing the women when they say they can be more attracted to a good personality match Well, I tend to think so because I was actually lied about it. Not once. They also assume it means the woman just couldn't get a hotter guy and therefore is "settling" Because, you know, people prefer to be genuinely liked (yes, sexually liked too). So the problem is bitter presentation, not the idea. By the same standard you can say things like "wanting small government and praising christian values without lynching black ppl is more centrist than conservative". But no, it's still conservatism. I guess the points you mentioned are quite obvious for most people. The problems seem to be expectations for both genders. Women who feel pressured to "do the duty", men who feel pressured to perform and be ready 24/7 - and yes, there are times when his "horniness" and "initiative" has more to do with "being man enough" than with actual hormonal overdrive. Seriously, stupid situations where no one really feels like it but does it out of perceived obligation DO happen. And let's be honest, many w…

It's not necessary about hiding the truth about personal history. The obsession you see has more to do with assumptions about whether n-count correlates with ability to form strong bonds. Basically, there are two positions: "it means nothing if a person had their fun back then" and "past behaviour is the best predictor of future behaviour".

Aren’t the Red Pillers and Black Pillers simply “dating chit chat” “wokes”? That's exactly what I find ironic. Ehh... do you really expect being involved in politics AND not to be hounded by ruling class? Really? It's called "class struggle" and not "class civil debate" for a reason, you know. I guess it's individual, sorry for lazy argument but it's true. "No actual cheating" can become actual cheating. Or it can not. But the latter requires much self-control and conscious decision to value relationships more than "other options". Many men can do it, so at least dome women are able yo do it too. But if you can't already 99% trust your partner, it's more rational to rely on Murphy's law and consider calling it quits.

Don't know, maybe small towns in the US are like that, but where I live that's an exception, not the rule. For the rest, see what I wrote above, I have nothing to add. I know that with enough effort and time I can technically get some sex if I settle for the bare minimum, but I have enough self-respect for considering only sincere mutual attraction as an option, and that's where barriers become much more real.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/10/21 12:13 PM

I don't know if an analogy is correct. Men focus on Tinder because it's not like women on Tinder belong to very narrow demographic, neither they are some actual community. And also the very design of Tinder takes away some social pressure that can skew the distribution: you can get away online with what would be considered rude and shallow IRL. Incel subs, on the contrary, tend to be mostly very young white men with similar upbringings who are there specifically to circle-jerk.

I don't know maybe NYC is indeed such a magical place, but in my country (and I've been to many places) I definitely don't see "every type of guy" in decent relationships. At least if we mean that by "getting women". I can't emphasize enough that technically almost everyone can "get a girl" if you define it as "having intercourse with anybody once in a while". Of course "I don't like to be told to die" is the perfect reason to call anyone small dick. You're so devoid of any human decency that you literally enjoy seeing men suffering and still manage to blame them for that. I hope you get cancer.

First, if you quote someone, do it right: deny them the basic human right TO DESIRE to be liked as sexual being It's not even about being automatically liked by anybody, it's about respecting the need. Second, if nobody's denying us that right then nobody should have any problem with men's frustration when they are facing rejection and humiliation. Yet we're shamed by women for "aiming out if our league", and the need to be sexually validated is suddenly "treating women like wet holes". If we ha…

Well, if dating life is the priority, then don't be me lol. Otherwise, I'm quite good. My friend circle is not so big, but those people are both reliable and interesting. My income is in like top-15% for my country, if you exclude billionaires. Also enough hobbies to never be bored. Wisdom of past generations is that tou can indeed talk that prudish girl you like to into dating you, because she's so out of touch with her sexuality that anything borderline exciting is infinitely better than closing her eyes and thinking of England within an arranged marriage. It doesn't apply that well to modern situation where any time she's slightly bored she can choose from a thousands of fuckboys by any superficial criteria. And arrange that sexual story with that chad with 8 inches down…

I guess depends on what you mean by "blackpilled". Obsessing about millimeters of bone in one's maxilla while never ever talking to girls IRL? Then I doubt there are many of such people. Acknowledging that physical traits are the most important predictor of sexual attraction, and they're extremely difficult for men to compensate for? Then I guess the majority of men understand that.

Well, there are many things that's hard to replicate or even properly test. For instance, it's really hard even to assess the distances between galaxies, let alone unambiguously explain them. That's why we come up with hypotheses which can explain the observation by some consistent realistic assumptions. Dark matter is hard to detect, and dark energy - we don't even know what it is at all. But they fit the Einstein field equations well, and can explain the data without making assumptions that do…

maybe a preference for taller people is normal Well, first you insist on how every person is an individual with unique set of needs and desires, but now having the same ubiquitous superficial bias is completely normal. What do I miss here? Also you see latino men almost exclusively marrying latina women (for whom they're not that short in comparison), which is explainable given the amount of racial segregation in the US.

extremely direct with a woman Yep, that's how I got my last gf and a couple of ONS after her. Women will forgive a drawback in face of a strong benefit My whole life experience says otherwise. you can talk to 20 women in 2 hours of taking a longer route of walking to your home after work Don't know about your culture, but in our culture bothering complete strangers on streets is considered impolite. Talking is free. Walking outside is healthy Can't argue, I personally enjoy both.

If they end up being a stereotype, then you treat them stereotypically Exactly. And since I've yet to find an example of a woman liking short men, I acknowledge that they don't. I respect their preference and don't bother them. Don't know how it can be harmful for them at all.

Sorry, what small knit community do you mean? I live in a city with like 18 millions inhabitants. Yet I can see the tendencies. It's not like everybody's preferences are so different that there are no overwhelmingly common trends. Statistics is a thing, you know. And it also requires specific traits. Like work interaction requires not only building relationships, but also competence in your area of expertise. Like parent-child interaction requires nurturing skills. The same goes here: physical attractiveness is a must for an interaction to be romantic and sexual.

I don't know how you come up with such bizarre ideas. What degrading concession? Jeez. /r/PurplePillDebate03/10/21 06:46 PM

In my experience if you don't behave like a cuckold, they won't treat you like one. Setting boundaries is real deal, so make it clear you're not offering free services and aren't inclined to play a gossip dumpster. If they value you as a human being, things will be alright; otherwise, it's not a huge loss. So I never felt deficient. Of course, I'm no mind-reader, but even if they somehow secretly thought of me as a less of a human, it didn't affect relationship dynamics.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/10/21 06:42 PM
18

The point is I'm not a telemarketer. And I don't need to play a dancing monkey. If they matched with me, they are free to get to know me and decide if they like my humour, and/or my thoughts etc. Not like I'm hiding anything. But it's not a job, and I don't owe them entertainment.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/10/21 06:35 PM

Genuine friendships with women shows that they are willing to treat men like actual human beings, and thus are neither malevolent, nor devoid of empathy. Just not in romantic/sexual contexts.

Some women are nice to have a conversation with, some make good friends. I like them as friends/acquaintances. Few women even try to understand men's struggles and show some…

No one didn't want to date, let's put it that way, "disadvantaged men" already. So what would change if he changed his attitude? He may think of women negatively, and they won't date him. Or he may think of them entirely positively, and they still won't date him. So what difference does it make? Also the way out of victimhood is not to put the blame on yourself and trying to gaslight yourself, but to acknowledge the situation first and honestly process the emotions. In this case it means one nee…

Why do you assume that: 1.) He seeks relationships, 2.) He does nothing to deal with trauma, 3.) He's obligated to care about others if others don't care for him? And most importantly, what the things you mentioned have to do with causal relationships between being single and being hateful?

You said: If you ever wonder why you’re single, take one quick look back at this comment It is false, because his hatefulness is most likely a byproduct by being probably betrayed or even abused. At the very least - constantly rejected. Not the other way around. How hateful he is now is not the source of the problem, it's a consequence.

Pretty solid, thanks! Except for "niche-max". You can't "niche-max" if there is no niche, and there are no "other areas" that can compensate for such a deal-breaker as height. Better safe than sorry Being nice isn't the same as being a romantic/sexual prospect, so what's the problem to treat women decently even if you realize some tendencies in the dating market? If you're unsure about your gf, it's never totally unreasonable, unless you're diagnozed with paranoia. Moreover, if I trusted my gut more than I was younger, I could save myself a lot of neurons wasted due to stress. If you are really can so easily change your worldview 180°, it's not the sub's fault.

Blaming doesn't change anything for sure. But understanding the problem is still a step towards a solution. Including figuring out what "doing the most with what you got" actually means for you. And it might mean "doing nothing", because if, for example, 9 out of 10 girls consider height a dealbreaker, you can't magically grow inches, so it would be rational to concentrate on things other than dating.

I'm starting to think this sub is just a bunch of married women who are rather mature, caring, and not shallow (and thus never were single since their early 20's) trying to convince traumatized single guys that vast majority of single women are exactly like them.

Geez, hickey and nails are too much for one night lol. However kudos for giving pointers. As I said in the post, the most difficult part in my experience is not techniques but reading ambiguous non-verbal clues. That's the main "skill" I was talking about. Too many women are very reluctant to articulate what they need.

... ten external raters evaluated attractiveness. To this end, at the beginning of speed-dating events, participants were photographed under standardized lighting conditions with the instruction to show a neutral facial expression I'm not sure whether this method is really unquestionable and can be considered an objective metric. Also this: attractiveness is more closely related to men's choices, except in the case of short term mate selection, where men and women view attractiveness equally can…

Probably an unpopular opinion, but honestly I'd love a career woman who's passionate about her job (this thing is crucial). If she's passionate about her job chances are she's less likely to cheat, because her brain is preoccupied with work tasks and not with sexual fantasies about cute coworkers. Let alone so many SAH woman who cheat simply out of boredom. "Devil will find work for idle hands to do" © I like conversations, I like learning things, I like discussing things. If she likes anything …

I guess "selfishness" is a tricky thing. The one thing is exploitative intent, the other thing is when you have no idea what the hell this particular woman is expecting of you and therefore appear "selfish or inattentive". Other commenters made very good points about non-verbal communication, I think the fact that we rely do much on purely non-verbal clues can be stressful for an inexperienced lover.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/08/21 11:37 AM

This. Isn't it like obvious that a partner can make both major positive and major negative impact while no partner is "neutral"?

As I've specified, correctly reading purely non-verbal cues for the most part. Technical issues for the most part are clearly easier to work on, and basics like importance of oral etc. are, well, basics.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/08/21 12:16 AM
2

Honest answer is I can't possibly remember. I tried it within my three LTRs, more precisely within first two or three months of each. Response was not always clearly negative but always reluctant, so then in both cases I decided to not push my partners' boundaries and tried to "feel what she needs" better.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/08/21 12:05 AM
1

I think techniques themselves (positions, fingering etc) aren't usually the problem. As another commenter mentioned the important part of skills is correctly reading non-verbal clues. Which tend to be ambiguous and individual and since many women rely almost exclusively on non-verbal signals without explicit verbal.communication it may be very tricky thing to learn.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/08/21 11:35 PM
3

Wow, that's a very good point. I think it's well-aligned with an idea of economic determinism when commodification of things (and commodification of people as workforce) inevitably "leaks" into other areas of life leading to commodification of humans in general.

Do you mean literally listen? As I've mentioned when I was young I was quite surprised that most women I've been with didn't want to communicate what they need right now even when explicitly asked, they rather expected a man to "feel" it.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/08/21 10:47 PM
4

As I've mentioned many women consider direct communication "unsexy". A man must "feel" it etc.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/08/21 10:43 PM
4

Sounds reasonable, thank you. I guess "good non-verbal communication" (and being a bit timid as a result) is the most tricky part. I personally didn't have much trouble with other things you've listed, but trying to guess a woman's needs was exhaustive at times. I guess that's usually the issue for men who are unsure of their skills.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/08/21 10:41 PM
3

What you've said sounds perfectly reasonable, but I was surprised in my sexually active years that many women were very reluctant about telling what they want even when explicitly asked. It's usually considered "ruining the mood" for some reason. Also things like foreplay and giving oral are honestly obvious for virtually everybody, aren't they? Most criticism I faced was due to other, quite often counterintuitive things like "I've expected you to take me already without foreplay" or "wrong rhyt…

Thousands of hours on techniques only. That's like only half of the deal at best. Google and YouTube aren't gonna tell you how to understand whether a woman wants an hour of tender oral of just rough sex without a foreplay.

/r/PurplePillDebate06/08/21 09:37 PM

/r/PurplePillDebate06/08/21 09:29 PM
3

It's not hard to find women complain about good looking lovers being bad in bed. I guess physical traits are crucial in initial attraction (before sex), but insufficient without skills after an initial stage.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/08/21 09:22 PM
1

As I described that's unusual for virtually all other skills. That's it. I don't argue that it can't be possibly learned, that would be obviously untrue.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/08/21 09:05 PM

Some men definitely have much more extreme demands. It's harder to put into numbers, but that's quite a vocal minority for sure. However most men I personally know are not that picky, most of them have more or less same criteria as me. /r/PurplePillDebate06/08/21 08:55 PM

Aside from escorts, the things you've mentioned would work only within an assumption that the girl is willing to cooperate and be patient/considerate enough. I think that's rarely the case. I was quite lucky to learn a bunch of useful techniques and skills, but practically by accident. Just found something that works (either for particular girl or sometimes for most of them). I didn't say it was a product of considerate dialogue.

Abortion is still quite a traumatic procedure, both mentally and physically. I know women who had abortions, no one describes it as no bug deal. Unless society would value childlessness as much as it values looks, I can't see how it would become analogous to boob jobs.

Well, it's good to know there are more accepting circles. If you can sincerely claim that all you female friends who are married to conventionally unattractive men marry them out of genuine attraction, that's remarkable. First of all, of course "6-6-6" and stuff like that are just shortcuts. I already specified "strongly prefer" instead of "only go for", and realistically a couple of inches surely are within a margin of error. It also means you can compensate for a lack of some traits with other traits to an extent. Like a well-endowed short guy can even have sort of an advantage over his average-sized taller pals and so on. I also agree that "6 figures" is the most "relaxed" preference and many people are ok wi…

Try to find a circle of women who are s little drunk and don't view you as sexual object a bit. You'll hear something like: male physique, dicks in general, dicks of particular men, what men do in bed in general, what particular men do in bed, and, wait a minute, dicks again.

She made an explicit statement that a guy should be good looking and charming and social and extremely confident in order to spark strong attraction. I doubt anybody would argue that having all those traits together definitely helps, although some women are probably not that picky.

So many answers here are basically like "support, loyalty, care, honesty". You know like basic human stuff. I know it can sound pathetic, but it's almost breaks my heart to realize so many guys should put enormous effort to get at least a bit of that basic human stuff. And some of them will get none, no matter what they do. We definitely need to teach future generations to be more self-reliant and self-compationate, and in the same time we need to build better communities, better support nets wh…

Sure it is. Women are extremely sexual, all those hilarious platitudes about "lower libido" comes solely from the fact they're more selective. If you ever overheard women talk in private, you know it makes infamous "locker room talk" look puritanical in comparison.

You're conflating things here. As you've said, Women work on their looks, personality, career, education, for ourselves Key words are "for ourselves". It's not hard to find women who don't prioritize their looks, ot their career, or their anything. That definitely can worsen quality of their life, but not specifically their dating life. If it was the root cause of a situation, we would see female sexual selection to be based on reliability of a partner, his kindness and agreeableness, and stability of his lifestyle. But that's not the case, main criteria are looks, "fun" personality, sexual experience etc. Most of them have nothing to do with whether he'll be responsible enough to prevent unwanted situations, or whether he'd make a caring father. So what you wrote makes little sense, sorry.

I guess it speaks volumes of how dating market is different for men and women. Say what you want about objectification of women, but it's men who are told to bring something on the table, to do more, to offer more, to work on their looks, their personal traits, their income etc. Whereas pretty much every answer here is basically "I am who I am; if he likes me, good for him". And it's not like something is wrong with this approach, that's just sad it's not applicable to men.

As for now it's practically nothing. You can get support and sense of belonging from your friends circle. Same for shared interests and fun activities. Cohabitation is overrated, it just doubles the amount of domestic work unless a woman is really into cooking and cleaning. Physical touch is nice, but you can live pretty decently without much. Kids are not my priority, at least for now. Validation? I used to think it's probably the main upside of relationships. But turned out a grown ass man can…

/r/PurplePillDebate04/08/21 05:32 PM

Maybe it's because there is no clearly defined "type of people" but a general tendency? I know that thought could ruin your just word fallacies, but try to consider such possibility.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/08/21 04:44 PM

Yep, I agree. Almost everyone can theoretically get _some_ sex with _somebody_ once in a while, quality relationships are just completely different story.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/08/21 04:41 PM

Depends on what you mean by "self improvement" and by "failed". If you mean "basic things like lifting weights and dressing better" and "can't get a decent gf" respectively, than yes, that's my case, although I can't say I improved myself only for girls. But I'm 5'6, that's enough to struggle regardless of other factors.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/08/21 04:37 PM

I don't feel like it's safe to open up emotionally _because_ I was rejected for it. As were many men. And it's too much of a stretch to early-to-mid-twenties "childhood history". But of course it's much easier to theorize how people you know nothing about were raised instead of admitting that's what men face.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/08/21 04:25 PM

It's so amusing how you try to turn psychological concepts into insults.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/08/21 04:10 PM

I doubt something changes dramatically when it comes to serious LTR. There are plenty of guys who don't mind taller women. I was with 5'9 girl once while being 5'6 myself, it was shitty experience but not because I didn't like her height. Seems like that woman problem isn't her height either.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/08/21 03:46 PM

Well, depends on what they mean by "harder time". If a tall woman goes for men who are several inches taller than her (as usually is the case), of course her protential dates sample is smaller and therefore she's more likely to encounter a guy who is into shorter girls. But that's it. "Harder than some other girls" is incomparable with let's say what below-average guys deal with.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/08/21 03:38 PM
2

You forget to mention that: 1.) For below-average man it not 1%, it's 0.01%, 2.) His "below-averageness" is most likely due to immutable characteristics luke height or penis size, 3.) You don't control for relationship status; you can be theoretically attracted to each other but she's taken = case closed, that alone decimates the sample, 4.) Probability to meet someone who is mutually attracted to you AND single still isn't the same as overall count of such people.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/08/21 01:55 PM

But it's better to be lonely than with a shitty partner. Speaking from experience
/r/PurplePillDebate04/08/21 01:41 PM

Simply admitting you're afraid or insecure of something is death sentence. And you're telling us about crying...
/r/PurplePillDebate04/08/21 01:41 PM

You conflate "understanding" with "maintaining attraction". Your partner can understand you better if you'll speak what's on your mind, but if it's something associated with "weakness", she would still feel less attracted to you.

So what? What are you trying to disprove? We already know that "rape fantasy" usually doesn't mean she expects you to suddenly mount her, injure her and penetrate her without her consent. No breaking news. It doesn't change a bit that those fantasies revolve around power play (giving up control etc.) and are masochistic at the core (at least in Freudian sense). Many men, myself included, find it gross, that's it.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/08/21 07:47 PM

It's not exactly that she "deserves". She just should consider such treatment among possible outcomes. No one deserves to be robbed, for example, but if you walk through a bad neighborhood at night, you should expect robbery to be likely happening.

What's the question? She met a guy who clearly wanted just a meaningless fling. Using the app designed for people who seek meaningless sex. She got exactly this. I doubt he explicitly promised that he will treat her with respect. I doubt there is some unwritten code of hook-ups either. If she wanted a respectful man, maybe she shouldn't disregard all the red flags.

Come on. They decapitated some ruling class bastards in 1792-1794 and that's it. Englishmen did pretty much the same in 1640's. The last revolution French had was in 1871. Since then there were Russian revolutions, German November Revolution and a bunch of subsequent uprisings, Spanish Revolution of 1931 and so on.

I guess they care, but "acceptable n-count frame" is different. Nobody wants a man-whore, but most women don't want an inexperienced liver either. While a female version is okay, lower threshold for men is probably at least a couple of partners.

1.) "All women being leeches and harpies" in the strict sense is obviously untrue, of course. Take statements like this with a grain of salt. She may harm you, or she may not, you never know in the very beginning. In other words, you don't automatically assume that women you meet are benevolent angels by …

Exactly. For instance, if all a girl sees in popular culture from infancy to adulthood is depiction of 6 ft tall bodybuilder-type bad boys as only romantic protagonist, of course she's gonna associate romantic attraction with them. Feminist seem to understand these with their critique of female role models in pop-culture (thin and submissive), so men can definitely learn from it.

I have no idea what your age is. I wrote about late 20's to early 30's ("older" as in "older than early 20's"). I've known quite a few women who married/were engaged at that age. A couple of them were clearly not completely over their exes romantically but valued their fiancée's reliability enough to settle. Two isn't many, but it isn't nothing either. Technically there might be true. When you've got a sample of 8 billion items, almost anything might be true. Though in practice it means nothing. How many people usual person gets to know in his/her lifetime? Hundreds, maybe thousands if he/she is very social. Probability of the proverbial Someone to be in this sample is practically zero. /r/PurplePillDebate29/07/21 07:52 AM

There are probably no two people who are completely compatible in everything. Usually you need to set your priorities, so compatibility here is always a relative concept. Assortative mating sounds more precise.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/07/21 07:48 AM
1

But I guess your social circle is quite young, like mid-20's at most. People at that age usually don't think so much about future prospects. Not necessarily sugar baby/daddy. I don't think AF/BB in the most literal sense is a common thing, simply because there are always plenty of men who don't make that much money. However, it can translate to other things like domestic or emotional labour. For instance, in my last LTR I was basically a provider, but at that point I had just an average salary. From my experience. From what my female friends tell when they're a little drunk. From what women post online about their experiences and what they find sexually attractive. It's quite rare for guys to find taller gal the most attractive. It doesn't mean they filter taller girls out. Female height is almost never a deal breaker. If she's nice most guys would never mind her being taller at all.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/07/21 10:00 PM
3

It isn't "taller than me", it's "at the very least taller than me in heels + a couple of inches". A 5'5" guy, for example, should go for literally midgets to meet this criteria.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/07/21 09:58 PM
3

Oh here we go again. "Shorter than you" still want at least average height in males.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/07/21 09:56 PM
3

That's often the case, but since when fantasies are rooted in real life? A sadistic multimillionaire going crazy about an average looking intern isn't remotely realistic either, yet 50 Shades still managed to sell shitloads of copies
/r/PurplePillDebate28/07/21 09:49 PM

I think there's a feedback look to an extent. Probably almost nobody wants a man-whore, but it seems like being reasonably in demand on sexual market adds some points. Like an attractive guy gets attention, and then attention he gets emphasizes his attractiveness. I bet if you see a handsome guy who rarely gets laid, you'll probably assume there's something wrong with him.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/07/21 09:46 PM
6

Nope. That's why female fantasies are all about bad boy who slept around suddenly settling for her. There are no romance stories about a monk or a widower aside from maybe Jane Eyre.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/07/21 09:42 PM

I think your post pretty much speaks for itself: allow her to build her expectations and help her make the list of deal breakers This is right. in order to correctly vet for a good husband And this is wrong. Unless you assuming that a "good husband" means "smoking hot sexual machine" and nothing else. With which most would strongly disagree. Most will agree that "good husband" is a set of personality traits and skills first. These traits and skills can be reasonable assessed only within context …

OkCupid data didn't show that. It showed than men message 8's more because they can. It poorly translates into real life experiences.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/07/21 08:07 PM
1

As a side note I start to notice that all those complaints like "but men send messages to hottest chicks" or "but men call most women average" miss the point. If man naively thinks he can possibly get lucky with a 8 or 9, of course he'll send her a message. But it doesn't mean he won't go for a 7 or 6. Attractiveness ratings for men usually mean "a 6 is good enough, but all things being equal I'd prefer a 9", while for women it's more like "I'd never go for anybody less than an 8".
/r/PurplePillDebate28/07/21 07:56 PM
2

But the self-defeatism ... prevent them from developing qualities women find attractive in the opposite sex (e.g., confidence, assertiveness, playfulness, etc.) Because it doesn't work that way. It's not that there is unlimited tradeoff between confidence and looks. You need meet at least minimal standards for both.

You deserve a cookie I guess? Or what? The reality is you can see plenty of couples every day where a woman looks nothing like instagram models while a man is handsome. You can see plenty of couples on which a woman is overweight or, let's put it that way, facially challenged, while a man is OK at least. Good luck finding a couple in which a guy is challenged but a woman is average, let alone beautiful.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/07/21 06:51 PM

People don't usually wear a giant sign "I'll give you a good orgasm". People go for who they find attractive, then find out whether sex is good. A girl meets a guy, he makes her feel head over heels for him, then fucks her, then disappears. Quite a common pattern.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/07/21 06:32 PM
1

And what would change if he wanted commitment? If a woman makes you wait for sex it most likely means she just not that interested in sex with you in the first place. By the second or third date it's usually clear enough.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/07/21 06:29 PM
1

The fact they aren't interested doesn't change the fact they could be pumped and dumped. They just hope for more.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/07/21 06:24 PM

I doubt there are the stats. However, I can see the logic in OP post. To whom a woman is most likely to give the best sex? To a man who arouses her the most. With whom she is most likely to have sex sooner? Again with a man who arouses her the most. And a man who is exciting to many women is much less likely to settle for just one, at least when he's young. He may as well go for casual sex. Thus chances are a woman indeed gives her best for casual encounters.

/r/PurplePillDebate28/07/21 04:45 PM

Nothing good ever came out of chasing down. She might settle for a while but in the long term you will almost inevitably be either dumped, or cucked, or both. That's like basic truths.

First of all, you made an implicit assumption that perceived attractiveness is the same thing as arousal. However, it's too strong of a claim. It's not that men have instant boners every time they see an attractive woman. And it's not entirely clear how OK Cupid's study was designed, but I doubt they asked women "here's the photo, are you wet yet?". More likely they asked people something like "rate how good looking a person in the photo is". If it's close to the truth, your point about female a…

There's a handful of examples of 20+ years stable marriages without infidelity (at least detectable infidelity) and misery. The thing is such marriages don't seem to revolve primarily around sexual excitement. It doesn't necessarily mean bad sex or dead bedroom, on the contrary such couples seem to be quite content physically, at least on a surface, but still sex is clearly not the most important part. We're speaking statistical tendencies here anyway. Dating within your social circle is obviously more convenient, so some women might choose to go with casual sex. "Anyone left of liberals" is a shitload of people. Left centrists like Bernie, socdems, marxists, anarchists. Their takes on gender politics will be different. People like AOC are probably inconsistent on this topic since identity politics can't be consistent by definition. First of all, you should take into consideration that Cluster B disorders are often comorbid. Even psychiatrists sometimes overlook it, but I'd say that's the case quite often. Then I think we need to take this into account if we speak of double standards. The typical conversation here goes like "women treat men like crap - no, men treat women like crap", while both sides mean different men and different women. It often seems to me as an outsider like there really are two Americas. The first one is conservative, GOP-voting, traditionally holding women to puritanical standards, but tolerating toxic behaviours in men, because "boys will be boys". The second one is socially liberal, Dem-voting, giving green light to everything women do, but demonizing masculinity, because "men are trash". The problems are (1) both are hypocrite, (2) both occupy the same space.

Or, here we go again. "Men have had a monopoly of power" implies that men as a group have a monopoly, while in reality it is a specific group of men, namely the ruling class. Which also included some women (from pharao Hatshepsut to Alienore of Aquitaine to Catherine The Great to Thatcher). Overwhelming majority of men were politically disempowered for the most of history, and you can't blame the entire gender for the privilege of the few rich and powerful families.
