I don't get why this was down voted. Yes, it sucks, yes its wrong. But this is reality, and people who don't think that society as a whole judges you based on your looks and how you carry yourself are naive. I don't exactly know if I'd say you should change your "look" or not, just by going on one picture, but its something you might consider for your, and your daughter's happiness. The picture of you and your daughter brought a smile to my face, but reality is reality, and the world is not fair…

Yeah, when I first started reading this, I immediately thought "SF or some other west coast city" Maybe the OP should consider moving, as I've never experienced anything of the sort, nor seen it. People may be attentive to the situation around them, but certainly not assuming the worst
