Women aren't exhausting. People who treat you like shit are exhausting. "I'm just saying that she sounds like a woman and it would be sort of hypocritical for her to say that women aren't exhausting." So that's a hard yes. You are, in fact, using "woman" as an insult.

Wait, are you using "being a woman" as an insult?

Whoever has low self worth or a family history of abuse. They are the easiest to manipulate and the least likely to walk away.

A lot of TRP guys seem to think that a romantic partner would/could/should love you like a mother. Never say "thank you"? Forget her birthday? Don't take her feelings into account? Take her for granted? Never complement her? Mom will still love you, but any smart woman would leave.

Every human has biases. But no, those dudes are not the norm. Google Aesop's the Fox and the Grapes for an explanation. And you are right about your attitude beings unhealthy. Talk to your school's counselor about your depression and self worth issues.

Anytime I've ever heard "plates & betas", it was always accompanied by ideas of SMV, divorce rape, hypergamy, and people's worth being judged by number of sex partners. All of that is numbers instead of normal human connection.

It might sting just a bit less because she wanted something I clearly could never give her, but the betrayal would be the same.

I would guess in both cases most don't know they are second choices. I also think most humans don't think of potential partners in those kinds of terms. Most aren't calculating value, they are looking for personality, compatibility and someone who wants the same kind of life.

But her illustrations make these guys look – well – disgusting really. I didn't think so. I thought they just looked like average dudes.

If you are going over into the next seat, why shouldn't you pay for it? Should I pay full price for 3/4 of a seat?

I was raised on Star Trek. I was a Dungeon Master. I was in show choir. Think I wasn't bullied? But everyone in high school is just a dumb kid. They've all grown up and moved on. Why haven't you?

As opposed to the legitimacy of the whole "alpha/beta" thing. Humans are wolves. That's just science. /s

You do realize you are basically saying "I commit beastiality. I love sex with these sub-human creatures so much, I will destroy myself to get it"? Get some counseling, bro. You don't speak for all of us. Not even most of us. Hell, there are probably more men who believe the Earth is flat than agree with your view on women and sex.

if you don't make the cut on looks, you don't even get a shot That is you claiming being attractive is a prerequisite for having a relationship. No straw, all brick.

How is telling someone "you are too ugly for another human to ever love" defending them? Please be as specific as possible.

Yikes! Nope, never heard that and never felt that. If Pem heard that from the people who raised him, he probably is going to need some counseling. That sounds like an emotionally abusive and/or mentally ill person.

Then no harm, no foul. I don't think there's such a thing as too many friends, so that's still a win in my book.

If I asked someone out and they told me they wanted to get to know me better before accepting a date? I'd hang out as friends. If they aren't interesting enough to be friends with, there's no way a relationship would work. Or maybe you find out it's only a physical attraction and you don't like their personality. Then you dodged a bullet! If I'm just looking to bone, we want different things, and it also wouldn't work. Most of my LTRs have been romantic from jump street, but I have dated ladies …

The truth that looks are not the end-all-be-all of being in a relationship. It's actually pretty far down the list. And it sounds like you're blaming society and/or human DNA in its entirety instead of getting out there and talking to people until you find what you are looking for.

Exactly my point: you think he's kinda cute but my wife questioned whether or not he is 100% human. Eye of the beholder.

So what you're saying is you've never been to Walmart. You see big, fat pantloads holding hands and kissing ladies every time.

In my relationship, it's pretty equal. But that's part of the reason we're together. I don't think you could have a successful LTR if you both weren't on the same page. I know I've broken off relationships were she wanted sex either way more or way less than me.

That is just plain untrue. But if you are still friends with people screw you over, YOU are the one letting them get away with it.

Obviously you prefer a pity party to the truth. Go ahead and enjoy blaming everyone else if it helps you sleep at night. I just think it's sad.

Their behavior. Who cares how they look if they screw people over? Dirty diapers in a designer bag is still just shit.

I know it's easier to blame your face than your behavior, but as they say: Beauty is only skin deep but ugly goes straight to the bone. If you are kind, fun to be around and hold a good conversation, you can find someone who likes you for who you are on the inside.

Seriously, do you honestly believe that "every women thinks THIS is hot and THAT is not"? You're nuts! Steve Buscemi, one of Earth's ugliest dudes, said his wife was first attracted to him because of how much he looked like John Waters.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/09/16 07:16 PM

First off, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. What's hot to one person is a turn off to another. Second, there's a huge difference between "attractive" and "sexy". For example, Jennifer Garner checks off every box of traditional beauty, but she's so sexless, I kinda doubt she even has a vagina.

Only just this second heard of him. Googled him and all of 2013 seemed pretty pissed at the guy, so it seems disingenuous to say people support him. Also, you can delete shit you don't like off your Facebook so it only being positive is meaningless.

Not all men cheat, so she has no reason to believe you are unfaithful. I don't cheat and believe me, if I've had opportunities. I could be involved in a naked lady avalanche and still keep it in my pants. Men aren't hardwired to be dirtbags, but it sure is easier to claim that than to act right. And as to the whole "sexual strategies" quagmire, that's another load of bullshit used to justify bad behavior. If you want an open relationship, both parties have to agree.

But it's based on lies. You assume she knows it's an open relationship, you assume she's okay with that, you assume she'd rather be cheated on than have a real shot at happiness. Plus, you say she's not nice, but still you don't want to hurt her feelings! In fact, it's almost like you have a million cheap excuses as to why it's better FOR HER if you to lie and cheat just so you can keep a safety net you don't even like. So much justification, so much denial, so much cowardice.

Life is about so much more than sex. And how happy are those guys "who are still fucking away" their lives? Most men I know that fit that description are pretty depressed. Humans are pair bonding animals.

Got to be honest, this sounds awful. You both deserve better than this and you would be able to find it if you break up. Just rip off the band aid. Better to hurt a little now than to suffer long term.

Life is so much richer (not to mention easier) with a partner. It's like being on a team. You have someone there to celebrate the good times, mourn the bad times, give you encouragement, give you a kick in the ass, have a million inside jokes and be 100% honest with. Someone who knows everything about you, good and bad, and loves you for both. I've had wonderful LTRs, both sexual and non-sexual. When I was in college, I had a roommate who was my hetero life partner. We lived together for years, …

"If you think otherwise, you and your friends can go circle-jerk" I don't agree 100%, so I can leave. Is that not the very definition of circle-jerking, or did I miss something?

You use "creatures" instead of "people", again making it seem like women are a different species. Yes, a lot of people have shitty hidden agendas. Yes, a lot of people are narcissistic. Yes, almost no one can be trusted. But that's not solely women, men are just as dishonest. We just lie about different things. Ask anyone the number of sex partners they've had. The truth? If it's a woman, add 3; if it's a man, subtract 3. I don't think one is more dishonest or wrong than the other. People are al…
