You should try “cautious hero” as well. Idk if it’s a total flip, but the main guy is extremely competent and the girl is a bit of a silly goose (though I wouldn’t say incompetent).

I don’t mind slapstick as long as it’s both ways but most anime would never ever let it be. Ed edd & Eddy is an example of good slapstick imo. I’ll be watching an anime that’s initially very interesting but as soon as the girl starts hitting dudes because she didn’t have the awareness to properly secure her mini skirt, I have to stop watching

I feel exactly the way you do. Men are buffoons and women are smart angels. In every modern movie, tv show (children’s or otherwise), commercial, etc. It’s sooo bad I can barely even watch western media anymore. These days I mostly stick to old movies/tv shows and anime. I still see it in anime but more because the viewers are horny and want to see a pair of big tits take down a Demon lord.
