The most accurate to reality is that if you focus most on being a good person and happy with yourself and care more heavily about whether your partner is a good person as opposed to how hot they are, then you'll more likely end up with a good person who will not leave you or cheat on you. And if they do, your confidence from being happy with yourself will mean that while you'll feel a sense of loss, losing them will not affect your identity because you have so heavily invested in yourself and yo…

Lifting weights and excersizing for flexibility and strength is always a good thing. You should not think about it as 'becoming Tyrone. That red pill shit is garbage. Womens' taste in men varies so significantly that the old adage 'be yourself' really is the best way to go. But be yourself really means be the best version of yourself. If you want to be lean instead of bulky, do yoga and get cut. Personality too. Some women like cocky guys, some like sensitive guys, some like class clowns. Find o…

It's definitely not right wing or MRA. I mean, there are some statements that reinforce gender roles by saying "nice guys are this way and women want this instead", but they're easily extrapolated to "nice girls" and "people want this instead" The premise of the book is that most of the resentment in your life is your own fault for not setting boundaries and "being nice" as a way to avoid conflict and keep the peace. People will respect you more for stating your opinions and boundaries and backi…

Reading some of the links in the sidebar really helped me get over some of my red pill tendencies. I also personally have been reading "no more Mr. Nice guy" and it has helped me with the resentment I feel towards women by recognising that it's my fault for not setting boundaries and then not communicating my needs. I used to lash out when my partner would "take advantage" of boundaries that I never told her I had. I don't know if people take issue with that book because it has some light gender…

There should be equality whether or not there is anybody registering for war. It should be both genders or neither.

No, it's not that you don't care what they think about you, but that you put it out of your mind because what they think about you is mostly influenced by external factors. You should focus on them.

You would bother because you want to get to know them. What they think of you is out of your control.

Good point. You don't need to care what I think. edit: By that, I mean, good point, you shouldn't crave respect from strangers.

It doesn't but you can't see personality superficially. You only take them home if they meet your standards in both physical and personality attractiveness. It isn't about you. If they don't find you attractive, you'll find out soon enough, but I guarantee you'll come off with a less attractive personality if you're overly concerned with what they think of you.

And neither is it the opposite of rejection. They're unrelated.

You approach them because you find them physically attractive. You approach them because their physical attractiveness makes you wonder if they're interesting too. You shouldn't think of it in terms of 'I wonder if she'll like me, but instead 'I wonder what she's like.'

I still respect people that I'm not attracted to who tried, and stopped when I said no.

Yeah, I can't separate the voice from the buffoonery, so maybe that's why it's a turn off for me.

Yes on everything, but I can't help but think that hitting the last syllable hard on some things makes you sound like Zap Brannigan. Art-uhh Drafting-guhh

He's being facetious and mocking everyone who is saying that bad stuff will happen to you. It's not going to be that bad. You might lose the chance to hook up with your classmates, but if the speech is given tactfully you shouldn't expect much backlash. In fact, I would look into the introduction to Mark Manson's Models for a good, tactful explanation about pickup, minus a few of the assumptions about the nature of how women behave and plus factual history about how the community has evolved, an…

They probably aren't concerned about people with asbergers, as they're a small percentage of the population.

I think she doesn't understand or believe that anything is wrong with the dynamic, because it is so ingrained in our society. Remember it was a room full of guys, so she could have been attracted to several of them, but since he was the only one to act on it, she could have reasoned that 'choosing' him was right because he 'had the balls' to come talk to her. Or this could all be over thinking it and it's just a common thing people say. I'm not sure. I don't come to seddit to analyze whether soc…
