That was completely wrong. In your first example, the hatred stems from them being Jewish, not bankers. For the other person, their hatred stems from promiscuity, not the fact that they're women. Again, it's not hatred on women in general. I'm not supporting what he said elsewhere, I'm commenting on what he said in this thread. He could very well be one, but that comment itself isn't by definition of the word.

It's an offensive word to describe sex workers. You can even call him an asshole. That doesn't mean it's a hatred towards women in general. Selective misogyny by definition is contradictory since it's not dislike on women in general but only a specific group. If a person values non-promiscuous women, then by definition that's not exemplifying dislike on women in general. Words have definitions for a reason.

I don't care about what someone says here, and even in that case, expressing dislike with sex workers ≠ dislike of women in general. He encouraged his wife to share her views of what's wrong with modern women, didn't say it's because he has a wife. Clearly they value traditional Christian women.

I've seen some clips on youtube, that's not the case. I've seen a male guest praise women for having a more traditional view on sex, or have seen other women criticise female sex workers. Even the guy in this video, Andrew Wilson, encouraged his wife to share her ideas. I agree sex workers are an easy target, but to say it's a blanket bashing on women in general is false. People need to stop incorrectly using the word misogyny.

It's most likely blown out of proportion by the media since the effect itself is small, but starting a movement that minimises the other gender's worth (blatantly), no matter how small the movement is, will create a huge wave of backlash. I'd probably have to read why it's so specific in Korea, meanwhile the movement hasn't caught on anywhere else in the world. no it's a reply to the second sentence. Whether it will work or not is irrelevant since it affects very few people. The vast majority don't think this way. They might date men within their party line more (maybe?), but it doesn't seem to have a real impact in the US or Korea, at least not at a mass scale yet. Korea's already on a long downward trend of fertility anyways...

The number of people engaged in 4B in S. Korea is officially 4k, but could be 40k, which is still quite negligible. So I think the issue is more of a public stunt (minor hinderance) that's blown out of proportions in the media, than an actually sociological shift.
