Agreed but I'd add that we don't actually know anything about what happened.

Fact is, people all do a lot of emotional labor. In our family I make all financial decisions and run every aspect of so-called adulting - insurance, vehicles, bills, financial things etc, she runs the household mostly. I help out. I hold my ground and we feel things are pretty equal. Or at least that's the conversation in general.

This would certainly be a bad place to be as a husband. I have a great wife who isn't like thst, but I also have to draw some lines in the sand where there are basically consequences for crossing those lines, so any of that behavior is squashed from the beginning.

I don't think anyone is loved unconditionally. Women tend to need to look good, men need to have money, kids are often unloved, and pets gotta be cute. The world is brutal.

It seems like human power is less and less of an issue these days but I'm open to being wrong. Zero military experience here, even second hand.

Apparently there is such a thing as international men's day. My son happened to be born on that day but when I mentioned it to some nurses and my mother in law when he was born, everyone glared at me.

I was looking for something negative and found something nice, so I have that going for me.

My first son was born on international men's day. I only mentioned it once, in the presence of a few nurses and my wife's family. Was so completely shut down that I feel resentment to this day.

Serious question, and I only read the article where the judge in England basically delivered a win to the woman. What do you guys see differently than that judge? Why is Depp still the victim. Didn't he hit her repeatedly?

I don't know but somehow got laid last night, not a regular occurrence at this covidy point in time. I guess me outlining the economic terms of our relationship turned her on. Maybe there's something there.

Not sure if sarcastic but he didn't hear me. I made sure of that because he's too young to make the connection between her rude comment from a couple days before, and my reaction to her asking for help. Even if he could make the connection, I don't want him to see me as such a jaded guy.

I used to be a pretty nice person I think. Then a lot of stuff happened over the course of the years like friends betraying me, family fucking me over, stuff like that, that caused me to become bitter for awhile. But that bitterness eventually turned to general anger and aggressiveness, nothing violent, just an attitude where I will fire back verbally at any little passive aggressive thing. Which is actually empowering in a way. The other day I was biking with my son and a lady drove by and yell…

I have two sons, one is a couple years old, one is newborn. So, we have awhile before they're in your position. But I'm curious, what do you think I should do as a parent, aside from the obvious things?

Thanks for digging into it. Frankly I like the idea of deincarcerating more women and children, but let's do the same for men - because we know if any of the groups needs lighter sentencing its men.

It was the blatant nature of it, stating the discrimination openly, that I thought made the statement appropriate for this sub. Im no expert on criminal justice, but I think people should be treated equally under the law no matter their race, gender, etc. With a prominent politician saying there needs to be a codified double standard for women in this regard, it becomes a men's rights issue in my eyes.

My son was born on imd 2017. When I mentioned it, the nurses and my mother in law scoffed and made negative comments. Nobody will be surprised by this, just reiterating what everyone here knows.

The article is behind the paywall. What level judge is it? How does this become, or not become, policy?

I'm 100% sure my wife would never do this, but I catch a scintilla of a whiff of this kind of attitude sometimes. Having kids doesn't make you special. That said, it can be exhausting. I've seen these mom's though and they suck.

I wasn't exactly floored by this. I think she actually took a nice step in recognizing that men and women are not the same, and that creates issues.

If you follow the arguments of the American founders, people have rights, no matter where they are. These rights may be violated, but they still exist, because of human nature.

I disagree. They were pretty fair. The defendants had top quality representation and many of them were not executed, despite horrific crimes and acting as key players. And I think they were far more fair then the defendants themselves even expected.

I disagree. More aggressive prosecution of false accusers will deter this kind of behavior down the line.

Some things about this rubbed me the wrong way. There are women out there who are sexual predators, but winking and buying lotto tickets has nothing to do with that. I'm a few too deep to make a great point about this, but I'm coming back tomorrow morning at a reasonable hour, promise...

Frankly it's pretty low on my priorities list, and the comments all around were short of serious. Still, lack of awareness, and open hostility, towards men, is prevalent in this context. Separately, I also had a midwife tell me today (at the hospital, we transferred here from a birth clinic) that she was surprised and disappointed to see a male nurse on duty. It was a specific type of nurse -one who is present during births or something. The midwife told me she thinks that all professionals at a…

My son is going to be born today. So I made a couple comments about it, which were predictably met with derision by the female nurses in the room. Ugh.

Doing your part, keep fighting the good fight! I may try it. Going against the grain on Reddit can be strangely demoralizing, though.

Takeaway here, unfortunately, and based on many other unfortunate events, is that as a man just do not mingle with anyone else's children no matter what. If you're an Olympic swimmer and want to teach swimming, yeah don't don't that.

She can still make a really good living as a hooker. Just a lateral move from selling the idea of sex, to actual sex.

OK, I guess things actually have changed. Why did nationalists and the like take over this particular sub? I mean, now there's nowhere to go for actual pussypass stuff, which I enjoyed - is there?

I'm going to try. I actually tried yesterday and he shut me down, but for fairly sensible reasons. The thing is though, she's going to do it again. This type of shit is like burgeoning Hannibal lecter stuff really.

I was just suggesting this but the thing is, there's no way to prove it. And in fact if he can't back up these claims then maybe she could sue him for slander, no?

Yeah I mean, using it as an excuse for bad behavior is bogus. I'm just saying it's very rough for some women. Not all of course. It's simply an objective con of being female, regardless of how women react to it or deal with it.

I only read about half of this, I'll admit, but it seems remarkably similar to my father's experience, although a bit more extreme. He tried to end it too, but recovered after being in a coma. My mom got everything. And custody. The assets represented his life's work. She did some work too, in the form of being a full time stay at home mom and hobby farmer.

I mean... If you're married keeping up a pipeline isn't a great idea. Then again maybe being married isn't a great idea in the minds of many here.

I see what he's saying, but in my personal life I have yet to experience any prejudice as a white man. I don't pay much attention to media like that. Other things to worry about.

So I've got a good friend who met a woman on okcupid. They dated for three years. He broke up with her when he found out that she had been living two lives the entire time they were together, almost four years. She was with the other guy a bit less than half of the time throughout the week. Not only that but she had lied about her age, name, education, and so forth. And to top it all off theres compelling evidence that she was poisoning him AND his dog, over the years. I don't think it matters m…

This is more to do with the Muslim issue, really. A lot of them believe the world needs to change to accommodate their beliefs. It doesn't. This should be in r/muslimpassdenjed

Great and satisfying but somehow I don't feel like it's ppd. I'm new to this concept but it seems like the female in question should be using the girl card to try to get away with something. Am I wrong?
