Well. What if one of those "nine guilty guys" raped your wife or daughter, then are you ok with him getting off Scott free and smirking at your wife while he walks out the courthouse doors unmolested by the law? Because if not, then why it that ok for someone else to go through?

School isn't "only school". It's a place where young and impressionable minds learn about society. That attitude is so toxic.

Nobody at my work has a job title, we're all independent contractors who have banded together to work on projects cooperatively. It's the best, steadiest, least competitive, highest paid work I've ever participated in. We all work together to land big contracts, and then split the money and effort exactly evenly across everyone.
/r/MensRights12/05/15 04:00 PM

Because it's pointless and wasteful. If we compete the best we can do is beat each other, but when we work together we can conquer reality itself.

The two are not equivalent. There are extenuating circumstances, i.e. a living child is there who we now need to care for. It's unfair to the man, and we can acknowledge that and praise him for his sacrifice, but it's more unfair to the child, do for a limited time we will unfairly ask the man to sacrifice together with the woman. To do otherwise is inhuman. Now, we do it wrong, of course, but the above is the reasoning behind the phenomena.

You have the right to be raised and protected as a child, otherwise you revert to natural law where you can kill and eat your parents for food. It's how it works.

Everyone who shares genes with the kid should be responsible to the degree that genes are shared, up until the point where child can be reasonably expected to fend for itself (late teens, probably), that's the most reasonable compromise. Society and sentience may break down some day, but genetics will outlast the entire species.
/r/MensRights23/08/13 09:07 PM

You know that one dollar is indistinguishable from the next, right? If the both make $100, and she spends $50 on the kid, then she's got $50 for herself and he's got $100. If her ex gives her $25, then she can still spend $50 on the kid, but has an extra $25 for herself, just as the ex has $25 less. There's no reason why the husband's $25 is any different from her $25, no reason why he should be able to spend his full $75 but she can't. And it doesn't matter if she takes that extra $25 from her …

It's a great comparison because in my example just now, the bank teller is the robber!! See, just like those two girls, he committed a crime while appearing to be harmless, the cops never checked, and he ended up having the bank guard arrested for attempted rape while he fled with the ca$h monie! Score! That's how the world works, apparently.

/r/MensRights13/07/13 06:50 AM

Should they? Sounds like a pretty easy way to trespass into your room at night. If anyone notches me, I'll speed dial 911 with claimed of violence and have the police arrest you before they wise up that I just broke into your house. Feel like justice now, I wonder?
/r/MensRights13/07/13 06:48 AM

Frankly it seems the cops acted responsibly. [...] The teenagers are the ones who called 911. Not you. Where you are from, it's not a crime to frivolously call 911 when there's no crime (or, in this case, when you are vomiting the crime, like trespassing)? Because where most of us are from, that's something the police would normally take issue with... and would be irresponsible not to deal with properly (i.e. by arresting the trespassers).

If the club is that exclusive, mention this to the members. Nothing trumps the "creep" card like good, old fashioned money. Hope you got the officer's names/badge numbers. If your club is the kind of club it sounds like, some old-money judge with a yacht is about to fire a couple of cops...

To put this in perspective, if 5,651/35 were the ratio of airline flights to airplane crashes in the U.S., this would mean there would be about 15 crashes per day. Numbers mean what you want them to mean.

Yeah, that's my point, man. Did you pass your sex-ed test to get your license to have unprotected sex? Pass your STD background check and have to wait a five day mandatory waiting period? Dude, think about how crazy those things sound. I'm telling you that your reasoning is insufficient, not that you are wrong. There are actually good reasons to want to take care of your children, reasons that can be supported by argument. "You did a thing once for five minutes, thus you should be responsible," isn't a very strong argument. If it were then it would apply to other things, too, and not seem completely crazy. For example, if you date a girl (or guy) for five minutes, are they then obligated to marry you if you demand it? The reas…

Wonder if someone was getting kickbacks. How can you wonder that? I mean in the sense that when you see billowing black smoke and fire engines all around you, do you wonder if there's been a fire? Despite the way we want to perceive institutionalized systems, people are not actually as stupid as we want them to be. The kid wasn't getting sent back to JV for mismatched socks because dumb people have no common sense. He was being sent back because somebody was getting paid for that to happen.

Why such animosity? You've got kids, man! Let stuff slide, for her sake. Let it slide again and again. Even if you can't see them, write them letters, send them gifts, send them emails, show them that you're not bitter or hostile like the mom says. It might take months or even a year or two before the mom realizes she doesn't need to be a dick to you anymore to be ok with her emotions and whatever, but what's a couple years compared to the entire life of your son or daughter?

It's at least felony stalking in many states in the US. I know that it doesn't sound like the common definition of "stalking", but the law has been expanded in maby places include almost any sort or harassment where the victim feels threatened.

an example of this would be the difference between a man going topless and a woman doing the same This is completely cultural. There are many places in the world where breasts aren't considered obscene whatsoever, and funny enough, those cultures don't idolize them nor make them an area for objectification like the more puritanical ones.

"A woman can't rape a guy. I mean, it's just not possible, right?" Do people really believe that only men can be rapists and that the only kind that exists is male on female? Here's a way to explain this to people who don't understand. Ask them this: "What is the difference between rape and sex? Not in a moral or ethical sense, I mean what is the real-world situation that someone could describe to you and you'd know that they are describing rape?" They aren't being used in that capacity right now, but that is their purpose. Does this logic apply across the board? False equivalence, move along. The picture is attacking the common feminist complaint of wage disparity by saying that men do more work thus deserves to get paid more, but this is a misunderstanding (or intentional misinterpretation) by the OP as to what the true feminist complaint is. Sure, but the question was what I preferred. :) But realistically, there's all sorts of situations that could happen that would require any number of attributes. when we are so obviously privileged, in HUGE ways, when compared to non-white people I'm not a "white nationalist" by any stretch of the imagination, but I take offense at the concept that I'm privileged because of my race (white). Everything that I have in my life, I have earned myself through my intellect, and perhaps through some luck, but never my skin color. Nothing was ever handed to me by society, no cop ever let me off the hook because I was white, no job ever hired me because I was whit…

I think it's women who they are silencing and weakening. These people's power comes from the victimization of women. Women with real empowerment wouldn't need them to fight their battles for them.

Sex is a need in the same way that mobility is a need. i.e. You can technically survive completely enclosed in an iron suit that allows no more than 1 inch of bodily movement, but to call the overwhelming desire to at least scratch your nose lest you go completely insane a "want" is disingenuous.
/r/MensRights25/07/11 06:53 PM

It's not going to be a problem. People need sex, and that urge is stronger than the social taboos of dating a man who makes less money. Just give it time and soon women will acclimate. Look at "cougars", for example... it's already happening! And t doesn't have to be a bad thing at all.

I know, we all SHOULD be equally as upset if it's a male or a female causing the abuse. I know how men think about it, but I don't know how women look on it. When an average woman hears of another woman having sex with a 15 year old boy, does she cringe like men do when we hear about men having sex with little girls? Or does she think it's, "weird, certainly, but probably didn't really traumatize the boy"?

I'm curious how women think about this issue. If someone posted it to 2XC with an ambiguous title like, "Child molester abuses seven children, including own daughter, gets off with 1 year in jail", but doesn't offer any commentary (sarcastic or otherwise) that indicate how the readers should feel, I wonder what the post comments would say? It'd be an interesting experiment, but I'm honestly too afraid to post it over there. I've discovered that 2XC can be a incredibly vicious and cruel place to …

If you are a female that often has orgasms during normal sex, it's quite possible that you'd have an orgasm during a rape. Ask google for the horrible details of that experience if you're feeling morbid. The human body has involuntary reactions to things you can't control all the time, and those things can happen even at the worst of times.
/r/MensRights05/07/11 08:00 AM

The same is true for women too. Many women report having involuntary orgasms during rape. Understandably it's quite horrible to experience.

Do this, if you can. Don't think of your rapist as a woman. She was another kind of creature. Women are the ones who you can have sex with pleasantly. The other thing was just a succubus. Don't let the two become one in your mind.

In my unfortunate experience, those who most strongly champion justice for women are those who wish the most injustice on them. With equanimity, they have nothing to battle against and lose funding and prestige. Try championing for the civil rights of the Irish in California today to get a feel for how little support one receives once the scales of justice have been balanced.

To all the people who think this is plain silliness, imagine if they were playing "rapist" or "serial killer" instead of "soldier". Would you still feel it's a perfectly fine game for kids to play? I think that why it's called "mutilation" should be obvious if you've got a dictionary handy... My experience of living with various women of all ages for nearly two decades is that women are far mor casually violent than men. I also agree this is not mutilation Using this same logic, cutting off a baby's pinky fingers wouldn't be "mutilation" as the baby would grow up learning to use his/her hands without them. Cutting pieces off of your child is mutilation. It's the definition of mutilation.

Specifically, “express consent entails verbal or written assent that leaves no doubt as to the victim’s agreement to the sexual interaction. . . .” Notice the word "victim" here. She doesn't realize it, but what she's just done is say that even if you have written consent, there is still a "victim". Read it. She's already pre-determined who is the victim and who is the abuser. I've seen this before, and it is just such an unhealthy way of thinking. If you enter into the arena assuming that someo…

A huge loophole. "Contempt of Court" is how restraining orders work, and why you can have your first and second amendment right stripped from you without even being notified of a hearing based purely one someone else's word. I'm not sure how any decent American could not have contempt for such a system.

because you said that for rape to be considered a crime, "there have been a harm". So if you rape someone, but can convince them to fall in love with you and then later say they loved it and there was no harm, then it's no longer a crime?

When someone, regardless of sex, is blackout drunk, they cannot be said to give "consent" under the law. Do you agree that this also applies to drunk driving?
/r/MensRights20/03/11 11:52 PM

Here's a big question... If you can't be held responsible for consenting to sex while drunk, why can you be held responsible to consenting to drive? To be consistent, it should be impossible for women to get DUIs.

I particularly hate the fact that an actual rapist is out there, right now, possibly raping more women, because the police didn't do their job. Getting a conviction at all costs should not be the goal of the police, because getting the wrong man means a dangerous criminal is on the lose, most likely causing more mayhem.

When women are represented in a realistic proportion in government, instead of being a token minority in a good ol' boys' club, we can talk about the draft. Bah, and here comes the other side, "Until women have the responsibility of protecting this country they shouldn't have a political say..." both equally braindead.

Although I suppose you could just ignore that, like you do every other injustice. Indeed! That's actually the philosophy I'm trying to cultivate for myself. Complete detachment, complete, unconditional forgiveness. It's not for everyone, but statistically, this little incident is the worst thing that will ever happen to me in my life. If I just ignore all the petty injustices from this point on, I will have lived a far happier life than I would have otherwise. Things might change once I have kid…

This will be interesting... So, I'm not sure what exactly the evils of "feminism" actually are. This is coming from a male who's been really screwed in "family court" by an ex-girlfriend who used the system to steal a hoojoo lot of money from me... Yeah, I spent four nights in jail, which was full of ponies and fun, but I don't see how I was any more screwed than 60% of the other guys who were also enjoying the holiday weekend in there for being black or stupid at the wrong time and place. Men need to see the injustices being perpetrated You think men don't? The harshest judge you'll ever meet in family court is male. Pray you get a female judge who will take one look at her and see straight through to the core, instead of a male judge who will rewrite the constitution to throw you to the wolves in defense of the poor, poor woman.

The argument isn't literal. It's about how there is a selection pressure over time that makes females more valuable than males in our species, and the math works out. Genetic defects are WAY better for survival than "no children", which is what you get when you swap the numbers (one female, 100 males), so regardless, our ancestors have an evolutionary bias to protect women over men.
