And I mean only while you are processing the paperwork. Do whatever it takes, just dont procrastinate. Every single case is different so its hard to give broad advice, pretty much don't move out, and hit the gym.

Alright this might not be the most popular advice but it worked for me. Whiskey and ChatGPT. Assuming you dont have an alcohol problem, its the only thing that numbs the emotions enough to just move forward and process everything. I really don't drink so it took me a while to legitimize it as nearly medicinal but it helps keep my blood pressure from spiking while doing all the paperwork. Getting all the information into the form that courts use can be really emotional. Turning years of your life…

ChatGPT was my hotline. But it took a while to even understand what I needed to ask it. Talking in person with lawyers helped come to terms with certain realities, calling legal aide hotlines helped gain additional insight, but nothing could put it all together for me like just sitting down with the Ai. At a certain point I remember it all just clicked, that I can be my own lawyer and learn how everything works from chatGPT like my own secretary. I think it helps bc it doesn’t feel like I’m both…

You’ll hire a lawyer to tell you what you have to do but when your ex asks you to you want to “go to war”.. wonder what the problem is… Someday you’ll realize being civil and keeping an honest record of communication will save you thousands in lawyer fees. Until then, have fun going to war on your bank account and whatever equity they can tap into!!
